Just returned (yesterday) from Orestis Apartments, Corfu - really good - just near enough and just far enough from the busier Sidari strip - very clean apartments and friendly people. Never had to 'reserve' a sun-bed - free safe deposit - only 20 metres to the slightly pebbly beach with boat hire and all that stuff - plenty of options for more sand within 50 metres or so. Thinking of going again - it was great for the kids and adults alike.
Try the roof garden restaurant if you like a big meal!a message from the manager of the beach star hotel and orestis appartments
I am able to rates on the Orestis for anyone who is looking to travel next year just give me a call on

We left many friends in Sidari on the 28th August, Aqualand is a must but book through a local agency not a rep!! We also recommend you try at least one kebab from Napoleons Place next to "Elena" supermarket. Can't wait to go back to the Orestis Apartments......
Orestis apartments (next to Beach Star Hotel and owned by the same people) are - for the second year running one of the best places to stay in Sidari, the complex is within a 10 mionute stagger from the main street with all the bars and clubs - far enough to not be disturbed by the noise if you prefer a quiet night. The staff are friendly and helpful, and if you can you must go to see Anthony play guitar in one of the local bars during your stay.
We stayed at the Orestis Apartments (the sister apartments to the Beach Star) for two weeks, ending on the 4th August 2006 and we all had an amazing time! The accommodation is great with a lovely pool and is just over the road from the beach - what more could you ask for?! The bar staff are great people, especially Anthi who was really good to talk to and made the best strawberry daiquiris ever! After just a week of returning, I am beginning to organise my return!
I stayed here last year and the Beach Star is still the Beach star, it was the apartments that changed its name to Orestis Apartments. When came out with them its was with Thomas Cook not Thomson. Think its Sunset or something the brochur was called.
I want to book the Orestis Apartments/Beach Star Hotel for July/August 2007 but they are no longer available in the Thomson brochure for 2007. Can anybody help? Could you supply me with the new tour operator or give me a phone number or website address where I can contact them direct. We did stay in the apartments two years ago when they were called the Beach Star Apartments but they changed their name last year. I would really appreciate any help anybody can give asap.
I'm looking to book a holiday for next year, but I can't find any informtion or how to book that if they are culled the Beach star apartments in sidari, corfu.
Hi Sam
The Orestis Apartments were really lovely the rooms cleaned everyday and they are situated right opposite the beach, Very easy access to the night life we will certanly be going back again.
forgot to say - one of the best things about the apartments/hotel was the location. Right on the seafront - separated by a road (but one that's hardly used other than by pedestrians) in a very quiet area. However, you are within about 5 minutes (max.) walk to the main street with all the shops clubs, bars and restaurants. Easily the best spot in town. If we went again - which we might - we'd go to the same area if not the same hotel/apartment. We had two teenagers with us and we felt confident to let them go out till the early hours and then walk home.
The weather was great - only one bad day, which we took as an opportunity to visit Corfu town. Kassiopi is worth a visit - very pretty, as is Corfu old town - lots of shops. If you hire a car or want to take a trip I'd do it direct from the shops in town. The reps will offer to do it for you but will charge about 3 times as much as the locals for car hire and double for trips. Would recommend Mikey's Inn for drinks and family entertainment and the Roof Garden restaurant for good quality fairly priced meals (some of the restaurants serve dreadful food). The Mimosa hotel was easily the cheapest place for breakfast (including tea/coffee) at 2 Euros.
Hi, we have (13th May) just come back from Sidari where we stayed at the Orestis apartments which are the sister apartments of the Beach Star Hotel. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend the accommodation and resort to anyone.
My partner, Daughter and I returned from our holiday to sidari in August 2005, it was the second time we have stayed at the beach star and we love it there, the staff are lovely especially Elaine & André’s who could not do enough for you & the hotel is excellent yes the rooms maybe small but still they were cleaned every day and the food was lovely. we love it so much that we are going back this year & we are even getting married out there. We would defanetly recommend it to people.
location was good but for some reason they put us at the back downstairs in a grotty and dark room behind the karaoke and bar. the noise was horrendous and the patio at the back was used for drunks coming back leaving their empty drinks etc etc. we hardly had a wink of sleep and paid good money for it we did complain to the rep who did not take on board our complaint eventually they did move us and we were told that they usually used this particular room for younger ones who are just here to drink and come back late. the travel co. said they would get in touch with us but have not and we were there in august also the breakfast was just tea and toast
hi i would like to know if anyone meet elaine at the beach star hotel and apartments in sidari greece if you did or you are going to sidari and staying at the beach star hotel or the beach star apartments i would love it if you said hello to elaine from me and her dad just to give her a surprise . she will make you very welcome and you will enjoy your holiday
its located on the beach road. When you get to the crossroads (where mcdonalds is) you turn left and follow the road down, its about a 5ish minute walk from there. With the pool across the road on the beach bit. Its really nice though and the staff there are really friendly and the owner is great. I'm sure you will enjoy your holiday there. You can't hear any noise from the main street and its a pretty little walk to the town centre.
i need the e-mail address for the beach star hotel. roger newport who visited earlier in the month wants me to send Yvonne some quizzes. i keep trying for your email but keep getting stuck.. hope to hear from you soon. enjoy the sun its raining here.....
Im Going To The Beach Star Hotel On 3rd Of Oct Could Someone Please Confirm Which Part Of Sidari Its In? Whats It Next 2?
Just back from the beach star appartments and had a fabulous time! been in Sidari before but this is the best location we have been in. The pool is fab and very relaxing during the day but with just a short walk you are on the main street.
