we went there to loula studios in 2002 and 2003 it was very nice and people was very kine and helpful
For the past 5 years i have stayed at the Loula Studios with my Family and have had a grat holiday each time.
The studios at the front of Loulas are not hers, they are owned a different person. The studios at thr front are very dirity and the noise from the road outside make it very hard to sleep
Heaven knows how this place has got 7/10, avoid it at all risks!
Frankly, staying at Loula was a nightmare. Loula, the owners son was rude, arrogant and argumentative, screaming at my daughter for sitting on the grass (apparently its not allowed, putting her towel on the grass (thats not allowed too) and eating sweets that had been bought at the supermarket(thats not allowed too). The pool is the colour of pea soup, cloudy and murky, the drinks a rip off and the bar food??? Disgusting! We decided to go over the road on our second day to a nicer place which sent the owners son into such a temper, our rep was on hand within an hour to re-allocate us. Other guests felt exactly the same, he was rude to a couple who dared to ask for a second toilet roll (you are only allowed one)and was rude to people he felt did not spend enough money in the bar.
Wont be going back to Loula apartments, what an awful place!
We stayed at the Loula Studios in June 2004. We were disappointed with the location as it is a long way from Sidari centre and meant a long walk every night. There are two blocks extremely close to the main road which is very noisy with motorbikes up and down all night. We were also disappointed to be sharing our balcony with the cuople next door, there wasn't any privacy. The family were only friendly when we were spending and weren't at all helpfull with a shower room when we had checked out. The apartment istelf was large and very clean - the maid service was excellent. We will not be back though!!
Apartment was spacious and well equipped, the broken shower rail was mended after 3 days but brick dust from the drilling was left in shower. One toilet roll not enough for three of us for a week and bins overlooked once. Pool lovely, plenty of room and sunbeds. Family not very friendly, maybe we didn't spend enough in the bar, prefering the atmosphere in the bars on route to town.
Stayed 16/30 May 2003. Good, clean, well equipped rooms. Family run and very friendly and helpful. Pool clean well kept, plenty of sunbeds. Snackbar fine - food menu limited but good. Think you should hire cycle for a few days and then go further afield in a hired car - both were cheap to do in May.
Some noise from the main road to Corfu town. There are five apartment blocks two of which are near the road and suffer most from noise - however this is a minor drawback. There is now a small supermarket only 100 yards from Loula Apartments, and a large supermarket about half a mile away.
An excellent base for holiday in north Corfu.
My son and I have stayed at the Loula Apartments twice now. I would not hesitate to go again, in fact we are soon booking our next holiday there. The noise from the road is minimal and there is no building work nearby. There is quite a walk into the centre of Sidari, which I think is a bonus. My son and I enjoyed the walk - stopping off at bars along the way.
The owners of the Loula are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The apartments are very spacious with everything you need. However, the shower room is extremely small. The brochure says you get privacy but my idea of privacy is not sharing a balcony with the apartment next door The noise from the road is appalling, especially at night. There are noisy motor bikes going up and down the road all night Another downside is that it is a long way from the centre of Sidari and the beach so you must be prepared for a long walk (or hire a bike) We had an excellent holiday at the Loula and would recommend it but don't forget your earplugs and be prepared to walk!
