just got back after staying for 2 weeks at the monika apts, i"ve been to greece about 20 times and these are probably the best apts i"ve stayed in, they were clean, the staff friendly, the cooked breakfast every day was spot on, the drinks cheap (2 euros for a large beer) only 2 minutes from the beach 10 minutes from the nitelife, i would go back to the monika no problem
We have just returned back from 2 weeks at the Monika. What have you all been complaining about this is Greece afterall?????? The rooms are cleaned daily and sheets and towels changed every few days. The apartments are well equipped with a mini oven and fridge that doesn't make alot of noise. There was no air con so we hired a fan. Don't listen to reps speel about the excursions we used Travel Spot down the road and had no problems. Defo going back.
we went to the monika app in sidari just 4 adults the place was loveley and we only had a small walk to the beach we really liked it there hope u do too
Hi There
Hello iv just come back from the Monika Comeplx in June 2007. I went with 4 of my girl friends. We had a fab time. The rooms are clean and basic. The pool is grate. The food at the bar isnt the best but ther is plenty of restrants walking distance. The staff are realy frendy and will do all they can to help. not all the rooms have air con we hade two self catering rooms but only one had air con. you can rent a fan from the hotel tho. iv just booked up to go back to sidary in september trying the Garnavos apts this time tho.

hi! me n my boyfriend stayed in the bed n breakfast part of the monika complex in july 2006. we had air conditioning but found out that the self catering didn't. dont know if that had been installed for this year though. we're going back again but for two weeks this time in july. best time ever!! it was nice n quiet at night but was just a stroll from the good beaches and nightlife! have fun anyone going, we definitely did!
Does anyone know if the monika apartments are located near to the canal as it looks like they are in the Olympic brochure. We are looking to go there in august next summer. Any recommendations or comments please?
hey, i stayed at the monika hotel in sidari from jul10 to jul24 06 it was great, the hotel was nice the sfaff so was the staff , the room was clean and the food was good, i had a great time.
As anyone got any pictures of the inside of the apartments, we are looking to go in September, but I can't find any piccies of the rooms
Hi, My family and I stayed at the Monika 12th - 26th June 2006, absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a 2 bed selfcatering apartment, marble floor, high ceilings, brand new kitchen and bedroom fitments, 2 bathrooms one being an en-suite off the master bedroom the other one just by the second bedroom. The bathrooms too were brand new, beautiful and clean. We could not ask for anything better. The whole apartment was massive the biggest we have ever stayed in, the only downside to it was that there was no air-conditioning so at night it was very very warm, but they might have put it in by now, as the other accomodation on the complex have got air conditioning.
hey everyone that is thinking of going to the mokia apartments im sat in the games area and it is a lovely place not far from all the clubs about a 5 minute walk, the apartments are complex and easy to use (self catering). im only 17 im here wit 4 other 17 year olds jus warning to the young try be quiet on the night time. the pool is great, the bar is a lil expensive good menu choice, they do karaoke, games, bingo, quiz and greek dancing on night time or watch soaps, the footie etc. theo is the man who works behind da bar hes ok nice 2 lasses aswell very helpful, holiday rep kirstie is nice too. weather has been on and off a really bad thunderstorm and lightning storms jus latly. places to see i recommened canal d amour, roda, if you go to roda go smilys. clubs - shakers, bed, babylon, calypso, ceasers(open 24 7 dusk till dawn) must see stevie spit in the red lion a comedy night drag show, its fantasic but if you easily offended dnt go. i dnt no what it is like to go bed and breakfast here but ur rep will tell you that you can hire fridges if you want them just let them no. well hope you all have a gd time wen you come here i have so far apart weather.
Thinking of going to monika on a B & B basis with the boyfriend, its our first holiday abroad without parents were both just 17, any body been recently as there are some bad reports on the internet, dont want to ruin our first forray into travelling alone, any comments would be really appreciated,
Myself and three friends stayed here in June 06. We were quite worried by some of the reports we had read. Therfor when we arrived we were more than delighted. The place is lovely, set right on the beach. The rooms were basic, but couldn't complain at all. Very clean. The only thing was the cleaners only changed the towels every 3 days. And the mosquitos were real pests!
Hi, Jeanette
we have just returned home after a 2 week holiday at the monika we had a great holiday, they are upgrading it at the moment putting in air condition & televisions. we were self catering in a studio apt it had just been refurbished with new kitchen, bedroom fitments & bathroom the pool area was clean with plenty of sunbeds. there are no safety deposit box's in the rooms they are in the foyer that was the only thing i could find fault with, reception was not manned 24hrs a day so you had to find someone? usually from the bar to bring their key, you then used yours but they stayed with you while you took your money out i was not happy with this so i only used it the first week. it's about 5 mins walk from the town where there are plenty of bars & restaurants 2 we enjoyed were sea breeze & venezia & if your broadminded and like a laugh you have to see stevie spit the drag artist at the red lion
there are no safety deposit box's in the rooms they are in the foyer 10 euros a week. that was the only thing i was'nt happy with as you had to find someone first as reception was not manned 24 hrs then they put a key in and so did you, the problem i had was that they stayed with you while you took your money out i was not comfortable with that so i did'nt bother having a box the second week
Ive just got back yesterday from staying at the monika. My first impressions of the room were really bad. We walked in and although were expecting basic, were shocked at just how much. If you are paying for bed and breakfast you end up in a room without a fridge. Its simply a room with a bed and a bathroom. You do have a balcony but if your on the top floor like us its sort of shared between everyone. A pillar and plant pot is all that seperates you. Our view wasnt too bad. I expected the river to look really horrible but it was quite peaceful. Our room wasnt clean. Literally everywhere their were black hairs and lots of dust under the bed. We complained and told by the rep it would be cleaned again. We got back later and although most hairs had gone the dust remained. Tassos the manager came to see our room. He told us to expect dust and even when its cleaned it returns, from being in the countryside. He was helpful, and quickly sent back the maid. Funny enough it the dust in the whole week we stayed did not end up anywhere near what it had been. Not all rooms like this, our hired out room on the last day was very clean. The bar was fun to go to, and Tassos was a great guy. He even gave us a lift back in his orange beetle when he saw us. The pool was alrite but we only used it once. A better pool is down the road at orestis bar. Location is excellent only 5 min walk to centre with loads of good bars.
