Me and my best friend went to Sidari corfu at the start of August for two weeks. We had the best time of our lives! We stayed in the Itanos apartments which although were basic were adiquate for the amount of time we spent in them. Near enough to center of town which was always a bonus without being too close, giving us time to sober up before getting back. Alex was very friendly and nice apart from the dodgy looking very tight speedo shorts! Always joined in and wasn't afraid of having a laugh. Nice meals and snacks which were often much needed after a long night out. We laid on lylos and watched a movie in the pool in the middle of the night once. Still warm enough to wear bikinis at 1a.m can't be bad! All in all an ok place to stay, especially if you are like us and just want somewhere to sleep! Pool is gorgeous and clean, and always quiet even in the height of the season. recomend it!
The apartments are basic, clean and well situated. 100m from the beach. Away from the noise of the towncentre yet still only 5-10 minutes walk away. The thing that makes these apartments so good is the pool/bar. It has the most faccilities in the area and is never crowded. The couple that run it are very friendly and helpful and good fun, food is simple but good.
George and Margaret age 57 and 55.July 2002 First time in Greece (been every where else in Med). Last minute booking with Unijet Apartments quite good. Only ten apts (8 studios for 2 and 2 apts for 4). Basic, but clean, and because of size of apts, Pool was never too busy. Bar and snack bar on site (not in brochure - extra bonus)!, run by Alex and Vanessa, and overseen by their very intelligent dog - Linda. Alex a really nice guy, couls acquire virtually any pirated DVD,CD or Playstation gamr known to man! Also very cheaply. Shows two films a day.. Does like his music loud though. Didn't bother us, but may be a problem for others. Sidari is OK. plenty of bars and restaurants, and a few decent shops. Too many jewellers shops (my wife disagrees). Ate out every night. Most restaurants have the same menu, but the quality does vary. Recommend Athena steakhouse - does other stuff also, and the Italian (Venezia??). Others also OK, but I like garlic as a flavour enhancer, not as an extra vegetable! Car hire v reasonable (shop around for price) Enjoyed boat trip to Corfu, even the thunderstorm on the boat - Thunder, lightning and even hail! It was still fairly warm, and as long as the brandy & cokes kept coming, I didn't care. Corfu old town is lovely. Nice shops and restaurants. I know I'm going on about it, but THIS time I counted the no of jeweller's shops in one street that was about 150 yds long and only 3 yds wide. There were 21! Beware all husbands and fiance's! This was the most relaxing holiday i've ever had, and I would recommend it to anyone.
