Probably the furthest apartments from the main strip of clubs and bars, but that didn't really make muchy difference.
went to polixenia in june this year for 2 weeks. had a fantastic time.the family who owns it are lovely ,very friendly, helpful and most of all very welcoming. the rooms were clean and very spacious.Prokopis and tassos made the best party atmoshere.we always go to corfu but this place is by far the best.SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR
sept 06. We found the polixenia appartments quite adequate for the price that we paid. The cleaning was regular, rooms large, bathrooms ok, decor ok. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. the pool was a good size and safe for kids, poolside snacks were satisfactory. the apartments were situated in the quieter part of town, 10 min walk from the bars and restaurants. also 10ish mins away is the best cove in the area with excellent swimming . overall we had a very good holiday experience at polyxenia.
These apartments are lovely. They have all just been modified last year. The family there are all very nice and will do anything to help you.
how can i book direct with the polixenia apartments
we got back from a week in these apartments on 28th sept, the family that run the place aren't very friendly, i got the feeling they were looking forward to the end of the season!
I was impressed by the size of the 1 bedroom apt we were allocated but the bedsheets were not changed and the towels only once in the week! (nice) There was a bad thunderstorm one night and a towel blew off the balcony - I was not allowed another and had to use my beachtowel for the last two days, i think they thought i'd nicked theirs (as if - why would i want to!)
The pool is nice and the pool bar is good for snacks (if you have enough patience after being ignored at the bar for 10 minutes)
Location wise, Id say this is probably further away from sidari and the centre of town than anywhere else, its walkable but after a few days it gets a bit tedious! I would recommend christos apts as they are right next to the beach, canal d'amour and the main road to sidari town.
apart from that i had a great time and would defo recommend sidari, especially canal d'amour area. I will go back but not to these apartments.
We have just returned after a weeks stay and thought the apartments were poor. The location itself is poor as you have to walk a good 20 mins before you get to the main beach. The cleaners only came in to clean twice and we had the same bed sheets on all week! The so called polite family were not that polite and as for the noise it was like some people were having all night parties all week!We had a night flight so with all apartments you have to leave the room at twelve or pay a little extra to keep it but come on twenty euros for six hours!!! WHAT A RIP OFF My advise if anybody who is going DONT GO STAY AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have just returned from the Polixenia Appts in Sidari and would like to thank Prokopis,Vasseliki,Tassos and Tula for their wonderful hospitality. They are a lovley family and do everything that they can to make you welcome.
We will be returning!
Thanks for having us Prokopis....
Love from Barry, Sue, Paul, Karen,Chris, Michael, Alex and Dean.
the apartments are a 10 minute walk to the canal d amour area and 25 minute walk to sidari town
We are thinking of staying at the Polixenia July 04. Can anyone tell me how far (walking distance) the accomodation is to the centre of the resort (Sidari).
Would also like to know if the Karina Apts are still there. Location just off main road behind Paradise Bar/Apts (think thats what they were called). If they are which tour operator or if they have changed name? Thanks
polixeni is the best hotel on corfu we came for one week and wish we were here for two. i reccomend the bbq night which the hotel does and also the cruise which we got from our libra rep sharon. we had a fab time and will definitly come back next year
We had a fantastic holiday at the Polixeni in Sidari, the owners are so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time, will definately be back.
The trips offered by Libra were good value for money and had the added advantage that we were able to go with all the other friends we had made, and the Libra rep who helped us make the most of our holiday and gave us peace of mind, instead of booking through bucket shops who may have no insurance.
Sidari is a fab resort and I could reccommend it to anyone!
the poliexenia a great place to stay ,but we had a 2 floor apartment and we were struggling to get to sleep at night because of the intense heat in the upstairs floor.althogh we heared a rumor that the place may be getting air conditioning ,the food is delicious but those of you who like tunar dont try the tunar and tomato pizza because the think of it just makes you sick and puts you off tuna forever.and when in the welcome party dont book any trips or excursions with the libra reps here is some directions to go for some of the best places to go to for excursions.... turn left out of the poliexinia and carry on till you get to the escape bar turn right to go over the bridge and youll find salby travel thats a great place to go to for trips if any of you want infomation on sidari contact me on alisonrambo@aol.com
Hiya! I wne to Polixenia apartments last July 2002, and trust me, i had a brilliant time! Because the place was run by a family, i got really close to them, and they are really nice people. We exhanged numbers, and i still get texts and emails from them, they even sent me one on christmas day, and this just shows that they really are lovely people. When i arrived, they were only 3 of family laying around the pool, by the end of the two weeks holiday, i was celebrating the greek night they hold, with 20 people from across england, who im also still in touch with. the apartments are basic, but they were always clean, and no problems occured whilst there. I'm 15, and although the apartments are a distance from other places, i still made friends, and it was great socialising with the family who run the place. If anyone is going, get talking to them , and tell them, especially Tula, Thassos, Katerina, and sta, that Danielle says hello! You'll have a great time if you go, and if anyone needs details on the address's or anything else, just email me. Ok!

we came back today from 2 weeks in sidari.
we stayed at the polyxeni appartements, these app. are a family bussines and the family does everithing to make you feel at home.
accomodation is big, clean, fitted kitchen and hairdryer for the ladies.
its located 10.min from the main beach in between two olive growts, wich at this time of the year are full of fireflies ho give you a stunning dysplay of blinking lights every evening.
the food is good, big portions and cheap.
polyxeni has a nice poolbar and stays open till the last customer goes.40 min. walk takes you to sunsetbeach, alt. rent bicycles(3 euro/day)
Me and my boyfriend went there last july 02. The hotel was really clean, it was basic but really nice and clean. The people that own the hotel are a family, they are friendly people, and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. really nice food. the pool was nice and clean, good location just a 10 minute walk from the centre. 5 minute walk to nearest beach, go to sunset beach if you can, which is not too far away from polixenia, as people go there to watch the sunset, also there is a nice restuarant there.
I have a party going here in June03 of 30+adults and children could any one tell us what its like?
we are going here in june 03 does anyone have any idea what it is like
Please can you help me with the address for this place?! Thanx
