Some friends we met whilst there in 2008 said they have now gone independent. I am going to Sidari in August although where I am staying wont beat The Waves but I will have a walk over and get the details of how to book with them. Anyone who is staying there this year I am really jealous!!!

Just returned from a fortnight at the Waves and I can honestly say everything that you read on the reviews is so true. It is the most friendly and nicest place that we (myself and my boyf) have ever stayed in and we would not hesitate to go back. The Waves really is a home from home, it is about a 10 minute beautiful walk from Sidari centre across the sea front. Nikos and Christos are so helpful (the ones in the picture) and so so lovely and made our holiday perfect, not to mention lovely Fanny the maid.
We have not long returned home from the Waves and it was everything that we had been lead to belive on this site. Nicko and Christo are as friendly as everyones says that they are and Mommas cooking is a must to try. The complex is just the right size to be friendly and not overcrowed at the pool even if everyone stays in to enjoy it. It is right on the sea front and just a few minutes walk into town so you do not have the noise of the bars but close enough to enjoy. We would recomend this place to anyone.
Mega place its family run & are all fantastic & very helpful it was my first time in Corfu they just made it great Nikos & Christos were very helpful
Im going back next year & hope i can book the waves again see you all soon
I was stayin in the wave apartments last year with my uncle, aunty and little cousin, we had a great tym. Nikos, Christo and the rest of the family are so nice, helped us with lots of things. Cant wait to go back next year!

Hi too the Koursaris family at the waves. We had a fab time staying at the Waves it was just a great holiday to chill at the pool the sea right infront of you with beautiful views. The rooms were clean, Fanny made sure of that all the family worked really hard at making the holiday memorable. It was my 40th whilst staying there and the family got me a card when finding out it was my birthday. and Fanny put extra flowers in our room on seeing the cards in the room. Highly recommend the appartments and we're looking to go back next year. Starting to save now!
This was our third holiday in Corfu but only our first at Sidari. My wife and I were very happy with The Wave accommodation and would echo many of the comments below. The accommodation is basic but, as frequent travellers to Greece (this was our 10th time), it fully met our expectations.
The Wave is a family business and the two sons, Nikos and Christos, do everything that they can to make your stay a happy one. They speak excellent English but are always willing to help out with a little Greek. Christos is married to Elene and their daughter, whose first birthday party took place during our stay, is called Irene. From the left in the photograph are Nikos, Christos, Irene and Elene. (Sorry about the anglicised spellings, but this site doesn't seem to accept Greek letters!)
The family mother is also called Irene and she cooks superb Greek food. Make sure to reserve some meals to have there!
Although we liked The Wave, we were rather less enchanted with Sidari. It has lost much of its Greekness. Most of the signs were in English and there was far too much English food around. We also went for a Greek night in El Greco's and, while the entertainment was very good, there was nothing Greek about my meal which was very much poor-to-middle English pub standard chicken, chips and peas. Nearby, there was even a taverna boasting English-language soap operas (East Enders, Neighbours, Coronation Street, Holby City, Emmerdale …) and also Big Brother. I suppose that they must have got some trade, but they certainly didn't get ours. That was not what we had gone to Greece for!
The other negative factor was that the excursion (as opposed to transfer) coaches would not pick up from The Wave. We don't know the reason why. That meant that every trip started and ended with a 12-minute walk to and from Sidari. To add insult to injury, the pick-up and drop-off point was outside McDonald's Restaurant!
A positive point, though, was that The Wave is in a quiet location. It was sufficiently distant from the discos of Sidari to be able to sleep without earplugs.
Back about 3 weeks and want to go back already. Had a great time in Sidari. The atmosphere at the Waves is so friendly . The family were lovely, and the food is great, compliments to the chef. Thank you Nicos and Cristoff also to your mum and dad as it is down to you's the place is so good. Didn't want to leave, could have stayed there forever Will definetly be coming back next year!!!!
We have been to the waves apartments 5 times and are returning again this year the family who have the apartments are very hard working but always have time for a chat we are looking forward to returning this year and meeting the new addition to the family we have recomended the waves to several friends and they to are returning also lloking forward to seeing you all love Elsie and John Clifford
Loved it my family go nearly every year. We all love Nikos and Chris very hard working family.
what can i say!!!! all the reviews i read prior to going are spot-on. the apartments are basic but the family who own them are so friendly and helpful, i would def go back. we stayed for two weeks and it wasnt long enough!!!!
We recently got back from waves studios and apartments. We absoulutley loved it and I met some great friends. My holiday was made the best it could be, with the help of Cristos-for serving us icecreams and being realli friendly Nichos for being really kind and serving us at dinnerthe other Nichos for being such a wonderful looking man and always possesing a smile Fanny- who cleaned our rooms and made them the best they could be, Marcos the parrot who we all adored, and katie, Alex and Yaz for being the bestest friends ever! I was realli upset when we left but I hope to come back another time!
