Canal D Amour Hotel (Christos Apts)

we where on holiday end of May 2014 at Christos Apartments, can not fault any experience we had there, room very comfortable and all equipment we needed if we wanted to cook, our room was cleaned each day and towels every 2 days, on arrival at apartments we where made to feel at home by Sanpiros and George, the view from our room was beautiful, resort is extremely friendly and you feel like an old friend, would recommend a visit you will not be disappointed   

we have just returned today 2-6-14,what a very good holiday we had very clean rooms very helpful staff.spero and all his crew very polite and nice to everyone even those not staying there.located in a nice place for beach night life and even shops anyone who can complaim about this should stay at home. to all of you making the place what it is keep up the good work,see you soon.dave and chris

I am thinking of booking these apartments for myself (35 year old female) and my Mom (73 years old). The last time we visited Sidari was 20 years ago on a day trip whilst we were staying in another part of Corfu. My questions are;
1)Will this resort be suitable for myself and my Mom?
2) Will these apartments be suitable for me and my Mom?
3) Is the beach easily accessible from the apartments (my Mom has difficulty walking)?
4) Is it possible to email the owner directly so that I can book with them directly?

Any help would be much appreciated?

As a regular visitor to sidari these apartments are faultless.......The Manessis family are wonderful hospitable hosts and their apartments afford some wonderful views.

If you choose to book these apartments in the future you will not be disappointed believe me......

THIS IS A FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY, ALL THE STAFF LOOK AFTER YOU AND ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE.

YOU ARE ACTUALLY ON THE CANAL D'AMOUR WITH ITS BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, NOT TO BE MISSED, WORTH EVERY EURO YOU PAY. 

Having not actually stayed at the Christos (my boyfriend did with his daughter) I can only say that next time I will make sure I get my booking in early to avoid missing out. The location is perfect. Daytime, the pool and snack bar on the headland with the beach less than 10m away you couldn't ask for more. There are some fish in the sea, and if you enjoy snorkelling, it is nice to swim out and round to some of the coves further round, and of course the Canal d'Amour cave (well worth swimming through if you get chance). Nightime, it's a 5 - 10 minute walk down to the Sidari strip if you want a choice of bars and restaurants, but there are some really wonderful places to eat just a couple of minutes walk from Christos; just ask big Spiros from the pool bar, his recommendations certainly didn't disappoint and we tasted some exquisite Greek food. Between Christos, Spiros, Spiros and Laura, my son and I were made to feel really welcome down at the Christos despite not staying there. The friendly atmosphere and perfect hospitality is one that I will go back to experience as a fully fledged guest next time. Certainly would recommend to anyone wanting to be close enough to the nightlife with a perfect daytime location.

Are these apartments suitable for families and is their much to do family-wise in Sidari?

Yes, these appartments are called the Canal D'Amour Hotel and they are fantastic.

Another fantastic 2 weeks in sunny Corfu is over but enjoyed every minute there, these appartments are SIMPLY THE BEST, they are in the Canal D'Amour area and yards away from the beach and the best part of Sidari.

Well what can I say, absolutely wonderful holiday yet again, got a lovely big room with terrific views from the balcony and at the front door.  As usual Christos and Maria were their usual lovely selves and Laura at the bar was a gem, the room pool and bar/restaurant was up to it's very high standards and big Spiros was still as friendly and as accomodating as ever, as was the little un!!!!!! thanks spiros for doing the canal d'amour village people dance with Pete, your video has gone down a storm in England !!!!!! I promise I'll bring some costumes in September 2008 

All in all a fantastic holiday and was very sad to leave gets harder each year!!!!

I stayed here expecting to enjoy every minute of it after reading all of the reviews.  I am sorry to disagree with the other comments but for me this place was not all I was hoping for in fact not anywhere near what I was hoping for.  When we first arrived it was early hours of the morning so we just needed some sleep.  After waking up on the morning I found my pillow and bottom sheet to be dirty (not a great start).  On 2 occasions after the sheets had been changed it seemed that the sheets they took off were cleaner than the ones they put on.  I felt that you only received good service from the staff if you spent the majority of your time and money there, which we never do on any holiday because we like to get out and see what corfu has to offer both day and night.  We came to Sidari last year and stayed at the Sidari Village near the main strip and I could not fault the cleanliness or staff there.  The nicest people in this hotel were the maids and they can only work with the tools they are given.  All in all enjoyed Sidari and Corfu but would not stay at the Christos again. All in all I am quite bewildered at the other comments. 

Absolutely second to none. Christos & the many Spiros' who run the place make you feel like one of the family & nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless (until we unpacked!!) & large, with everything you'd realistically need. The pool is lovely, quite deep in part but safe enough for kids to enjoy safely. If the pool is not for you, the beach is literally 20 yards away, in its own secluded cove.

There are cliffs to jump off for the adventurous, but not on a blowy day as it's quite hard to get out. I did it a few times resulting in a badly bruised backside, (stopped me having to go horseriding).

Recently returned from another fantastic holiday in Sidari staying with Christos and Spiros and Spiros.  We have stayed with them four times so far over the last few years and are never disappointed.  The rooms are good and the company better.  The location is second to none overlooking the canal d'amour.  We will never tire of staying with these lovely people.  Hope Daisys pups are doing ok and hope to see everyone again in September. 

just returned from Christos Apartments,Canal de Amor and I loved it!!! best holiday i've ever had and will deffinately be returning!!! the apartment was gorgeous overlooking the pool and the beach with a  masive  balcony. 5 minutes from Sidari strip which has a wide variety of bars and resturants, if your into your night life its amazing!!! (Spiros "Diablo" rocks in Shakers bar ;-p). The Beach is literaly on your door step and there are pedellos and boats to hire out for really cheep rates. Finally the best thing about this accomodation was the staff. The three Spiro's made our time there one to remember. Clubbing with Diablo and Spiro's, the famous Red Devil cocktails, late nights at the bar playin pool, chatting about the caves (Diablo) ;-p haha Christos, the manager is amazing too! he made sure our time there was amazing and went out of his way to help us :-) and he beat me at pool :-o lol. Daisy's pups wer amazing!!! She made it feel like home bless her! so if anyone is unsure weather to go or not please GO! its a resort worth visiting! see ya next year 3 Spiro's, Christos and Daisy!!!!

we have just come back after spending one week at these apartments and i have to say we were very impressed we were in block a nothing wrong at all very clean all the staff very friendly food in the snack bar excellent hello to spiros in the pool bar and for anybody who remembers daisy the dog she has had 5 puppies last thursday didnt want to come home but will be back in september

 I have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the Christos Aparts in Sidari with my husband and 2 kids age 11 years and 1 year, and it really was everything we could have wanted. We stayed in a huge 2 bed apart in block A which was great, the maid even did our washing up for us! The team there are so friendly and really can't do enough for you. The pool is a nice size and the beach is only yards away. Spiros at the pool bar is the friendliest guy I have ever met and all the staff are great. It is located just minutres from evrything you need from supermarkets, to cafes and bars to restaurants. We made friends with another family who were staying in block B and they said their rooms were nice too so I wouldnt worry too much about that cos the overall standards here are very high. This was the best holiday we have had in years and will definately go back

IV  STAYED HERE THREE TIMES NOW .IT WAS FANTASTICI WENT WITH MY FOUR CHILDREN SIS AND HER SON AND MOM AND DAD.CHRISTOS IS A SMASHING MAN.SPIROS HIS SON FRIENDLY AND FUNNY AND SPIROS WHO DOES THE POOL BAR IS A TOP BLOKE.THEY WILL DO AS MUCH AS POSS TO HELP YOU OUT.EXCELLENT WITH KIDS .THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND TOWELS CHANGED OFTEN.THER ARE TWO POOLS SMALL ONE FOR THE  KIDS THEN THE LARGER ONE .BUT THE CHOICE IS YOURS.THE FOOD IS SPOT ON AND DEF RECOMEND THE BREAKFASTS,EVEN IF YOUR NOT STAYING THER GO AND CHECK THE FOOD OUT YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED.ITS VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH SO IF YOU FANCY A BREAK FROM BY THE POOL ITS NICE TO HAVE A STROLL.IM GOING BACK IN AUG FOR 2 WEEKS THIS TIME INSTEAD OF  ONE.CANT WAIT.AND I KNOW MY MOM AND DAD GOING THERE TWICE THIS YEAR.SO CANT BE TO BAD.

Me, my wife, daughter & boyfreind have just got home after 2 weeks at yhese brilliant appartments, the whole team there are fantastic ( Christos, Spiros, Spiros2, and all the rest ) they cannot do enough to help you. I would recommend anyone to book direct and Spiros will arrange taxi transfers ( 45 Euros ) much cheaper than travel agents. A big HELLO to Spiros in the Cafe / Bar we have you on video and ALEX says THANK YOU for the message you sent him, and he's hoping to see you next year maybe.

  Hi. I am going to christos apartments in Sidari in August and as I have read mixed reviews about the blocks being split into two? And if you book with thomas cook there awful?  is it pot luck which block you end up in?  are they next to each other? as I have just simply been told christos apartments! and dont like the sound of no staff, air con or a fresh water swimming pool!!! help!
