Hi
Does anyone know what tour operator is offering the Marilyn Apartments in Sidari during 2005.
I cannot find them in any brochures so far
Marilyn Apartments will appeal to you if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday. The staff are very friendly and the apartments got cleaned every 2nd day. New Bedding and Towels every 3rd day. It's got a lovely pool which is one of the best in Sidari. The pool can only be used by people living in the apartments and are not free to the public. Not too far out of Sidari.
This was our first visit to Corfu and the Marylin apartments and we were not disapointed. The place was lovely. A very good size pool excellent maid facilities. The studio we stayed in was basic but perfect for our base. Everything we needed was there. No complaints. The staff were very freindly and very helpful. I would recommend this resort to anyone. It is just outside Sidari and although there have been some comments made about the distance to the town it is a pleasant walk
I have stayed at Marilyn Apartments twice (2001 and 2002). Both occasions i have been impressed although I believe that JMC no longer ioperate at this location so can not vouch to current operator and owners (if they have changed). Situated outside of the resort itself is ideal for those wanting a quieter lifestyle and since the pool is for residents only, it does not get as crowded as that of Sweethome (next door). Sweethome is excellent throughout the day and night for bar snacks and drinks with Costas,Billy and Co. keeping you company until the early hours of the morning. The apartments at Marylin (new block) are spacious, excellent facilities and cleaned thoroughly. The walk to the beach is no longer than 10 minutes down the back way and a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the streets in the town centre
The apartments are basic but comfortable. We had no hot water for 6 of the 14 nights we were there. You can avoid walking along the main road into the town centre by using 1 of the 2 paths which lead to the beach. The best is down the side of the Sweet Home appts. This is also a good place for breakfast, Costas is very helpful and friendly. Cycle/scooter hire at Pink Panther near the supermarket is cheap but barter with them to get the price down. As you walk into town there are lots of taverna,s, avoid El Greco, its expensive. Elysee is fab.Beach is clean but is a 2km walk 2 get 2 it.
The only problem is they are 2Km from the centre and for about 1000m u have to walk on the main road and their are no street lights so u have to be very careful and watch the traffic
me and my family are going to sidari in august 2003. we've heard loads of good things about the resort but nothing about the maryllin apartments where we are staying. If anyone knows what they are like or have stayed there please let me know. thanks
superb holiday location
