Just been reading previous comments regarding the cleaning. I agree that this was poor. We were unable to walk around the appartment in bare feet because of the dirty floors. Only cleaned once a week and only provided us with one small towel each. I don't want to winge too much but if you're planning on staying here you might as well know the facts. The only people who enjoyed staying there during our stay were two 20 year old girls who left the rooms at 11 at night to go to the mint night club and returned at about 7am day after to sleep it off they thought the apartments were in a good location and didn't really get affecrted by traffic noise
Went in July 2004. At first we thought the rooms ok. But found out when tried to sleep how noisy they were. located on the main road there was constant hellish noise from motor bikes and scooters. Our apartment was no 6 right above the car hire shop in the main street and as the temprature rose during the holiday we were unable sleep if the windos to the apartment were open. the room only got cleaned once a week and showers had to be taken in cold water until a new boiler was installed part way through second week. Sidari has grown quickly over last two years increasing the noise levels and traffic usage. I dare say if i had stayed in the Angela in May or October it might have been a better experience.
We've just got back from staying at these apartments and they were ideal for us two on a top girly holiday. Room was basic but had everything you needed, large balcony and a surprisingly powerful shower! The apt was cleaned every other day(as per norm for any other Greek apts i've stayed in). The location is great , about a 2 min walk to beach and the start of the main street through Sidari which was ideal, not noisy and yet not too far to walk when you've had one too many of the fab flaming sambuccas! Best holiday ever and can't wait to go back
When we arrived there were no bulbs in most of the light fittings so we went to buy some as we had no way of contacting out rep untill the following morning. Even after a new bulb was put in the kitchen light fitting it would not work. It was eventually fixed three days later. The room itself was very basic and for me not cleaned often enough or well enough - Kept choking on the dust under the bed when making it. Considering you still have to place your soiled toilet paper in a bin provoded i would have expected this to have been taken away at least once a day but this was not the case.
we stayed at the angela 2 years ago.ideal location, basic accommodation but clean. we would stay there again.
We,ve stayed in the Angela,s time and time again. It,s on the main street in Sidari with restuarants, supermarkets and bars on the doorstep. The apartments r looked after by Maria and r clean and well looked after. My family have now been to Sidari 13 times and wouldnt go past the Angelas if we could help it.By the way Look for Napoleons place for a friendly welcome and a true touch of greece.
The Angela was a basic apartment but was very clean, a good size and in a good location. There obviously was a little noise from the main road into Sidari but this did not really present a problem. You have access to the pool at Dino's Hotel very close by which is very nice. For anyone staying at the Angela though I would warn them that the towels and sheets are only changed after your first 7 days. (Waste bins emptied approx every 3-4 days). Air conditioning and a shower curtain would obviously improve your stay there.
