Just got back from sidari and Calypso was one of my favourites. The bar men were friendly, good music to dance to, and a garden at the back to sit in and drink.
I went in IQ Bar just once but id go in again. It had a mixture of age groups in it. We saw a live band in there who were reallly good but its just a place to drink and not dance.
Ive just got back yesterday from staying at the monika. My first impressions of the room were really bad. We walked in and although were expecting basic, were shocked at just how much. If you are paying for bed and breakfast you end up in a room without a fridge. Its simply a room with a bed and a bathroom. You do have a balcony but if your on the top floor like us its sort of shared between everyone. A pillar and plant pot is all that seperates you. Our view wasnt too bad. I expected the river to look really horrible but it was quite peaceful. Our room wasnt clean. Literally everywhere their were black hairs and lots of dust under the bed. We complained and told by the rep it would be cleaned again. We got back later and although most hairs had gone the dust remained. Tassos the manager came to see our room. He told us to expect dust and even when its cleaned it returns, from being in the countryside. He was helpful, and quickly sent back the maid. Funny enough it the dust in the whole week we stayed did not end up anywhere near what it had been. Not all rooms like this, our hired out room on the last day was very clean. The bar was fun to go to, and Tassos was a great guy. He even gave us a lift back in his orange beetle when he saw us. The pool was alrite but we only used it once. A better pool is down the road at orestis bar. Location is excellent only 5 min walk to centre with loads of good bars.
