We got off the coach and were met by Christos himself. What a lovely man! I have to say that all the 3 Spiros and Ron made our holiday super. they all took the time to come and chat to us and really made us feel very welcome indeed. The apartments were very clean, with towels, and all the basics to cater for yourself, although the food in the snack bar was so good and so cheap we didn't bother much. Lovely holiday, lovely place, lovely people.
just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying at christos apartments .

We are going to stay at Christos Apartments 29th August as they were recommended.
anyone been this year is ron still there?
Got back this afternoon. Our first time in Corfu. Definitely not the last.
My friend and I arrived back home this morning, I couldn't wait to add my comments.
Christos Maria and Spiros are lovely people, very kind helpful and welcoming. The two Spiros's who work at the pool bar were fantastic, warm friendly generous people who couldn't do enough to help.
The accommodation was very clean and you got everything that you needed.
The location was superb, very picturesque, with small romantic coves.
The lively bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute walk away.
I definately recommend the Three Little Pigs restaurant, with handsome friendly waiters (especially Pedros a Tom Cruise look alike),
the food was excellent and the entertainment unique.
Returning to the christos bar after a night out was like going home.
I will definately be returning to the Christos apartment asap.
We have stayed at Christos Appts for the past 4 years and the reason we go back is the great location and the friendliness of Christos, Maria (his wife) Spiros (son) and not forgetting the other Spiros's at the pool bar and Eleni and Leti in the shop.
The appts are ok, pretty basic as are most Greek ones, but they are clean and the bedding and towels are changed regularly.
Both a and b block now have air conditioning and are right next to a small bay where the sea comes in. Plus its only a minute to the main beach if you prefer that to lying by the two pools.
Although its at the quieter end of Sidari, there is plenty to do and so mant places to eat (and i have to say that there are many places close by that serve traditional greek food).
Plus if you want a more raucous night then its only a few minute walk up to the main part of town.
All in all its a great place and I,m sure you will have a good time there.
Oops, I meant to say that we booked our apartment through THOMAS COOK, not Thomson.(see below)
A word of warning...There are two Christos Apartments in Sidari!!
If you go through THOMSON you will end up at a very plain apartment block with NO staff (!),air conditioning, bar etc.
If you go through FIRST CHOICE you will go to the apartments that are getting the great reviews on this page.
From speaking to the other guests, we realised that we ALL had been misled. We all believed that we were going to be staying at the other (better) apartments at the other side of sidari.
I would suggest that you make sure that you are going to your chosen apartments before you get there!!
I booked the Christos Apartments as a late deal, never having been to Sidari before. I did quite a bit of research once I'd booked, and found everything I read about people's experiences to be very positive. It didn't disappoint - The Christos Apartments are owned and run by Christos himself, a lovely middle aged man, who couldn't do enough to help. His son Spiros runs the bar, and is also great. The apartment was lovely - freshly painted, with a new bathroom, and had everything in it we could possibly need including air con, a mini oven and kettle. We bought a bottle of wine to drink indoors one evening, and on discovering we didn't have a cork screw in our room, went down to the bar to ask Christos to open it for us. The next day when we got back from the beach, one had been put in our apartment for us. The Christo apartments are at the quieter end of town and about a 10 minute walk to the main strip, where you will find the bars and shops, and most of the restaurants. We hired a moped for the whole week and found this a great way of getting around. We also got to see a lot more of the island than we would have on foot.
Food-wise we were very disappointed. We went everywhere looking for traditional Greek cuisine and all we found was British fare, and everything seemed to be served with chips. Apparently the Cretans change their menus in the summer to cater for the less adventurous British palates. Shame! We did however get talking to a British ex-pat who pointed us in the direction of a couple of lovely traditional restaurants, but they were a good 30 minute moped ride outside of Sidari. Well worth the ride though.
The beach and sea were very disappointing too. The sea is a disgusting colour and therefore we spent most of the time round the pool, that is, before we discovered the beauful beaches of San Stefano and San Georgio, only a 15 minute moped ride away.
The 2 pools at the apartments were great, and you could always get a sunbed. All the apartments seemed to have an open door policy and so you could go to a different pool every day if you wanted to.
Hi, We went to the christos appartments in Oct 03, we had a Fab time, at one point the whole island had a power cut and we were plunged in to darkness, but christos was on hand with torches and candles, Stefan was ready with the booze and entertainment and big Spiro was on hand with all his lover with a goal stuff, all in all a great holiday with very friendly people, watch out for Stefan though he'll try and tell you he came over from Bulgaria on an orange lilo (my daughter believed this). Go it's worth it, Great holiday. and we also will be back.
they can only be booked through sun start part of the first choice group. the place is excellent the staff brilliant cant wait to go back in aug this year all the partment now have air conditioning for this year i have spoken to spiro this week
my family and i stopped at christos aparts last year and i would like to know if the have a website or a e.mail adress so that i can arrange another fantastic holiday
myself and my wife visited in june for two weeks and had a great time.the owners and staff couldn`t be friendlier, and we had a good few laughs with spiro(the small one).the location could not be better, directly on the small beach within 2 minute walk of main beach.the views are excellent and the pool area is not to busy,so you don`t have much trouble getting a sunbed even after a late night(we hade a good few).special shout to stefan ,the bulgarian barman.if anyone has booked or is planning to book, you are certain to have a good time.ps(if possible book block a as the rooms are far superior and have air conditioning),as we didn`t and it got quite uncomfortable getting ready to go out at night.we WILL be there next year
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Christos Apts,(20th June-3rd July this year),but I have to admit that if you don,t get air conditioning forget it, there are two apartment blocks one has air conditioning the other hasn,t. The one with will cost you more money but it would be worth it as the mosquitos over there are on steroids and they are open for business...Apart from that the staff were really friendly and helpful.....
Just wanted to add that the beds are rock hard, after you get back you may suffer some back and shoulder problems, but it does go off !!!!! Just do not run into the room and dive on the bed and you will be fine !!!!!!
What a wonderful place, were really pleased as soon as we walked in the door to see how clean the apartment was and how much room we had !!! Although it did take us a while to understand how to get the electricity on, you use your key fob in a wall socket, great idea !!!!
As soon as we had daylight, we looked out from the balcony and could see the sea, we were so close, it was great !!! It is about a five minute walk away from the high street, but that did not matter, there was always so much going on around these apartments, trust me you are not out in the middle of no where !!! Loads of bars and places to eat around here and on the way into the main town area, you have so much choice !!!!
The pool was lovely, with a snack bar, we enjoyed many a cup of tea around the pool, heaven !!!!
The staff in here were ever so friendly and could not do enough to help you !!!!
I highly recommend staying at this place to anyone !!!!
Was there from the 19th-26 May and found the place great. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms big and always very clean.
we went for two weeks in june 2002, the owners & staff are all friendly & very helpful, the location is good as its pools & sunbeds are overlooking the sea its got 2 pools (1 childrens pool) a bar & cafe (excellent breakfasts & snacks)which are both a few steps away from the pool, its also got its own shop & bar which serve excellent cocktails, plus a bonus for us we didnt miss any sports or big brother as the bar has satalite tv overall i would definatly recommend christos apartments & will certainly be going back, the picture in the first choice brochure for last year did not do it justice at all
