Mariana Apartments

how far is the canal da moor area from the apts, waiting to book but need to know if it is near the big rock that juts out (sorry not a good description!)

Adrian, these apartments are about 25 mins walk to the canal. You will love these apartments they are clean and tidy. And the people who own them are very nice. Have a good holiday.

I usually stay in the Canal D'amour side of sidari. Can anyone advise if these appartments are anywhere near here (I dont mind a bit of a walk) or are they totally on the wrong side of Sidari to this.
Help would be great as I want to book very soon.

Visited Sidari 3 years ago and stayed at Mariana Appartments, absolutely loved it but unable to find in any holiday brochures....how do you book?

Hey all, We were at mariana's in sept o3, and wanted to say what a great time we had there!! We are also holding on to the hope that it wasnt costas who was killed, as he is one of the best people you could ever wish to meet!! What an absolute Legend. We would like someone to put us out of our misery and tell us that its not costas, and if it is, what happened to one of the greatest people we have ever had the privelige of meeting!!

Arrived 17 oct can recommend these appartments for peace and quiet,and a freindly stay from the Greek family who own the appartments.On the up or down side depends how you look at it is the walk into Sidari personally I liked it, It takes about 20 mins at a brisk pace, walking back in the dark is another matter.Try the walk from the appartments to Agios Stefanos to clear the cobwebs.

We stayed at the Mariana appartments for one week at the beggining of October 2003. The appartments are in 3 blocks and are all clean and well maintained.
Sidari is about 30 minutes walk away but the family do run a minibus that is free of charge and drops you off at 7pm and picks up at 10pm and brings you back.
Sadly the owner, Costas, was tradgically killed one week before we arrived but the family have done an outstanding job and the atmosphere was still good as reported by others in previous posts.

Mariana Apartments are great, we just got back after 2 weeks in September 2003. The apartments are about 30 minutes walk from the main town of Sidari, although Costas the owner runs a mini bus in the evenings to Sidari at 7.30 and then he picks you back up at 10.30pm.Should you miss the bus, a taxi ride is only 5 minutes away and will cost you 5 euros (about £3.60). The apartments are very clean and spacious. The family are very friendly. Marianna, Costas wife is very friendly as is their son Spiros, although their other son Stefanos has all on to raise a smile. The Maid, Soula and her two youngest daughters (Joanna ans Christina) are very friendly and they make a splendid job of cleaning the apartments. They also fold your clothes up for you that you have left on the end of your bed. I recommend these apartments 100%. We have booked a further weeks holiday in June 2004. The appartments offer a basic cooker/grill, and incorporate a toilet and shower room, with a spiral staircase to the upstairs. A spacious balcony is also provided and all the apartments have UPVC double glazed windows and doors. There is a pool side bar that is open until you have had enough, and after a few days of drinking the beer and cocktails Spiros will every now and again say this round is on the house GREAT !!. A conprehensive meal service is also provided with substantial portions, aia reccomend you try the special omlette and Marianna's greek salad, the latter would feed two. All in all a great time was had by all. Totally fantastic. Not far away (30 mins walk) is Sunset Beach where you can sit and watch the sun set over Albania, with atmospheric music playing in the background from the bar and restaurant, you must see the sunset. We were at the Mariana Apartments June 2001. We loved every aspect of it and as on previous comment, Mariana and her family made you feel like part of the family. One day in particular when it was very hot, she made everyone at the poolside home made doughnuts. One of our best holidays ever and we would be going ther again this year if I could have found it at the time in a brouchure ( previously Direct Holidays )

Five adults in a two bedroom appartment. One bed in the kitchen/diner. Smashing family run place with a poolside bar that stayed open as long as you wanted to drink. Although self catering, Marianna and Costas prepared many meals throughout the day as required, at reasonable prices.They provided lifts into town if taxi's were unavailable due to airport runs. Only 25 minutewalk into main town where there are many bars, tavernas, shops and restaurants. Maria came in every day to clean and tidy the rooms.
