Ektor Apartments

I've definately got to say I do not know how everyone here says Ektors is clean... it is gross! The people are lovely, but our room only had 2 towels in for 2 of us (we needed 4) they have no double beds, no shower curtains, dirty bath mats, itchy bed covers, and do not get cleaned every day. The towels had holes in, and due to a flood every time you get out of the shower due to no curtain, the towles up on the minging floor. Our friends' fridge door fell off, and they had an ants nest in their room... our apartment didn't have an oven in, as stated, and was so grubby I would not have let a dog eat in there, never mind me. The thing that made it lvoely our holiday was us having each other, and to spend time away, but Greece, get some bloody hygiene standards you smell!!

oooooooooo sooo busy tryin to book again forgot to post on ere got bk 2 week ago ahhhhhhhh stayed here were ok altho 2 young lasses an we both said the same that we felt out of place more family apartments...but is near nuf to town so no taxis r needed!!!! ...best thing was tho... reunited with our fave rep once again big up claireeeeeeeee!!!!!!! we'r c*mmin to c u again sooooooon ;-))) altho probs at spirodula!! ;-) but will visit till then its goodbye from sidari's no.one gals!!! if ne one wanna get in tuch feel free new addy .... xxlilnatzxx@hotmail.com!!! an if ne one is goin to ektor say hellllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo claire , for me!! hahahahah sidari is ace all njoy ur self and c u all soooooooon. luv it!

Didnt stay in Ektors - but went into Hector's most nights - loved spiros, george and not forgetting the lovely Takis!! Missing you all. and missing having a dance to Shakira.

just got back from ektor apartments with a group of friends and it was brilliant. the rooms are nice and clean with lots of room. the pool is brilliant and perfect for staying there all day. george, spiros and takis made us feel very welcome, as the bar stayed open untill 3 most nights with lots of different entertainments on each night. ideal holiday place for families or singles as it is situated about 10 mins out of town as it is peaceful. cant wait to go back in september!!!

ive been to corfu it is a lovley place very freindly and also very very clean would go again next year

I am going to Corfu on Monday and wondered if anyone knows if there are washing machines in the ektor apartments? please reply if you can thanks

  we loved it! all the people at the bar are really friendly, its close to town n it has great night life n loads of really lovely resteraunts. the cruises n trips are quite cheap so i'd really reccomend this place.

Has anyone been on any of the trips boat trips, aqualand ect if so how much do those types of trips cost and are they far? Also how far is the food shops/supermarkets and town away from Ektor appartments.

I am going to Ektor Apartments at the beginign of July with my friends and I was going to take a digital camera instead of using a film. I thought of getting more holiday snaps by taking a memory stick to download photos onto using a computer. Does anyone know if there is an internet cafe near by and if so is there a USB drive in the computers the same as here to put my memory stick into the computer saving my pictures so I can take more pics with my camera.

cant believe how any one could not love this place the people are excellent the food is delicious especially vicky's traditional sunday dinners..yum yum!!!..am now returning for the 2nd year in a row and friends have been going for the past 7 years..loving it cant wait for this years holiday!!! "YAHOO" to george and spiros!! apartments are very clean with towels etc provided.

Im sorry u found it so horrible, I have been twice int he space of a month, my family and I got on extremely well with Gorge and Spiros! and i got on really well with Takis, they do not try and get into you, they make you very welcome! It was clean, the nights were fun and Sidari town is very lively and fun at night, over all Sidari and Ektors was amazin and im hopon to go back later this year!

Could you please tell me if the ektor apts are suitable for a family as we are all going in a big group ruffly 14 of us. is there much for 18 year olds etc if you could please let me know is it lively busy etc in may time?? thanks stacey

My wife and 2 chilren age 14 & 10 are thinking of staying at the ektor apts. We hoping to hear from someone that has stayed there to let us know what is was like, are the apts. clean. Would you recommend for a family, are the beaches nice, are they close to, or a fair distance away from the resort. Any comments,photos or suggestion are greatly appreciated. Cheers Dave

..............................NOT ALOT OF PUBS AND CLUBS GENERALLY A QUIETE PLACE......MOSTLY FULL OF COUPLES...SO NOT RECOMENDED FOR SINGLES

THE MOST FRIENDLIEST PLACE EVER!!!...KIDS WILL LOVE THE WATER PARK THERE...THE CLEANEST PLACE WE'VE BEEN 2 YET....ALREADY BOOKIN FOR 2006...SAD I LEFT   

I have been to Corfu 3 times with my family and we will be going back in just over 2 weeks! Everytime we have been to Corfu we have stayed at Ektors Apartments and we get on with the family well. It is a family run business and they are all very friendly. Hector and his wife run the apartments and do bar work through the day while their sons, George and Spiros mainly run the bar in the late afternoon/evenings. The pool is cleaned everyday by Hector himself and the apartments are very clean. Every year when we go back to the apartments they notice us straight away and give us a warm welcome. The apartments are just out of Sidari centre where there are plenty of restuarants and pub and clubs. All in all, it is a very friendly resort with quite alot to do.

We have just returned from Ektor Apartments on the 31 May 2005.  The apartments are away from the centre and accessed by a country road.  The location is fine as long as you can put up with the cockerals, donkeys, goats and dogs that make a noise from early hours of the morning.  When we first arrived we had to clean the apartments ourselves and dispose of the leftover dirty underwear of the previous occupants.

Entertainment provided at Ektors is very poor, but if you want entertainment at Ektors, get up at 4 in the morning when you have been woken by the cockerals, etc and watch the rats scurring around the pool bar/kitchen area.

Sidari itself is worth visiting with plenty of good pubs and restaurants and yes there are still friendly, welcoming greeks.  We would return to Sidari again anytime as we have done in the past but never to Ektor Apartments.  There are much better located, managed and clean apartments in the resort.

I am going to sidari with my kids 12 & 6 from june 13th - 21st and will be staying at ektor apartments.This will be our second visit to sidari and we are really looking forward to it.Is anyone else going to be there with their children at the ame time?

HI were going to Ector next June
. We have three children is there anything for them to do around there?Would you recomend hiring a car? How long a walk is it to the beach and main town?We were also told that the near by canal is nothing more than a sewerage point. Does anyone know what we are letting our selves in for? Hope someone can fill us in. Thanks Steve

we went to ektors on the 12th to the 19th of july 2004. we had a great time on th b52s and we recommend them to everyone apart from the little ones who have milkshake shots. ricci the rep was great had a good laugh and quite fit. the nightlife was ammazing and not to far away the whole street of bars and clubs was exactly what we were looking for. we will never forget spiros and george. remember george room 12........ hector and vickie you are great to.

Going on holiday with my three children, is there much for them to do, also seen reports that the apartments are not very clean is this true also. R the restaurants reasonable to eat in. Could you tell me if this apartment is the one that was on watchdog for having the bad publicity. Worried about taking my children there also been near road is it still quite dangerous with the motorbikes.
Can someone please help me try answering these questions.

we went to Ektor apts on the 12th of July til the 26th and had a really good time. we would definetly recommend it.It isn't very far away from the town but far enough to have a good sleep at night.Also we really enjoyed the pool it was great fun and big enough to have a good swim,The people at Ektors are friendly and including people we met.The shops were reasonable and the resturants had different types of food to try and we would recommend sweet Maria a bakers across from the surgery.Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back (and miss the people we met!)and defently go to venesia a resturant in main sidari Yummmy!!!!!!!!!!

Sidari was a wonderful family resort. The family run apartments were friendly and just lively enough.The Ektor aparments were clean tidy and the perfect location. When you holiday with kids you want them to get a good sleep. Ekors was just far enough away for a pleasant walk to the centre at night and perfect for sleeping as you did not have to worry about the noise coming from pubs and clubs. Our kids slept no problem when we were away.
I would agree with my husbands earlier comments about the roads etc. I was on edge a bit with the kids as the mopeds went by most nights as a great speed. However you should not let it spoil your holiday just be aware of the traffic at all times and you will be fine.

We stayed at Ektors apartments between 12-26 July 2004. Had a brilliant time with our friends the Muchan family who were there at the same time.
A great place for a family holiday. Great weather, great food and great company. Only criticism would be road safety when walking through the main street. Police should take action as a large number of motorcyclists in particular ride like maniacs through the narrow main street and nearby roads.

Joan and I stayed here last year, we had a great time. Hector, Spiros and George make sure you enjoy your stay.The appartments are kept very clean, as is the bar. The pool is spotless, Hector is out every morning cleaning it. Only 2 minutes from the shops and a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach. Loved it so much going back this year.

ektor apts excellent george,spiros /hector all great family we would definitely go back again.very clean & well maintained rooms & bar & pool .great food aswell for a pool bar.ask george for a pint of local beer in a ice cold frosted glass yum yum

We stayed here last year and after our dismal experience on Zakynthos wish we had again. Clean, well maintained and all you could ask for in Greece. A little out of town but that guaranteed quiet nights when we wanted. Brilliant place really, stay there if you can.

hi all oh it was so cool at ektors bar.the nite life was fab.i mean im only 12 and i really enjoyed it. if any 1 goes say hi 2 george,hector,maria and the dog hemar. i really loved it. say hi 2 the brekky.lol.

MY FAMILY AND ME STAYED AT EKTOR ALPS A FEW YEARS BACK AND IT WAS GOOD BUT IT WAS ABIT TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE BEACH AND OTHER FACILITIES. IT IS ABOUT 10 MINUTES WALK ALONG A MAIN STREET TO THE BEACH, WITHIN THE SITE AT ECTOR IT WAS A FRIENDLY ATOSPHERE AND THE VILLAS WAS REALLY NICE BUT THE APARTMENTS ARE NOT THAT GOOD.
