Well we're off tomorrow, thanks for your help and all the replies.......wait a minute, there weren't any. THANKS A LOT!
I can only comment on the breakfasts as that was the only thing on my mind when I went into this bar every morning......afternoon. The breakfasts were the best, I ate her 9 days out of 14 but if I had tried it earlier it would have been 14 days out of 14. Full English breakfast was excellent. My thanks to the owners.(last minute breakfast.com) It was a private joke...until now, breakfasts stop at one o'clock in the afternoon but on my first vist the kind-hearted owner served me at 12.59, it worked for him, I went back there every morning after that, only a little earlier. Thanks again guys.
This place is tremendous, the food is good and the portions are unbelievable. If anyone in your party has a bottomless pit for a stomach then try here. Satisfaction guaranteed. The staff are so friendly and genuinely interested in making your visit enjoyable and satisfying, all speak excellent English and understand you fully...except the Greek blonde girl with the Americanish accent, very good English but doesn't have a total grasp if you deviate from the menu too much.
Don't be fooled by the comment below. All they are interested is in dancing the food was crap! They danced every fifteen minutes just to get punters in the doors. An absolute nightmare!! Once again "THE FOOD HERE WAS CRAP!" Do not go into this place... you will regret it.
Vicky and Becky are obviously more interested in the flattery and flirting with Costa and Canabeans (his father is German, Heinz)than with the food, these men are dangerous lunatics with their fire and chair-spinning. It was overpriced and disgusting and the staff ARE so very very rude!
I never ate in here simply because they bombarded you with leaflets anytime you passed, and it got so very irritating.
This place is great...but... don't go on a Wednesday as this is the day that Thomas Cook and Thomsons and such like go and it is mobbed, you have to wait in long queues to go on the rides. Any other day is more leisurely. Great place, thoroughly recommended.
We paid 15 euros per adult and 13 each for kids, this was booked at Valueplus in Sidari and included buses to and from the Park from Sidari.
You can go on this trip from Sidari with Valueplus for only 4 euros, excellent value and the town is great. There are Designer shops, which appealed to my son, such as Lacoste, Segio Tacchini, Diesel amongst others and of course Marks and Spencers. Don't just go through the town...explore, it has some lovely places and back streets, Cafeterias and Kafetania which are for the more appreciative.
This trip cannot be appreciated on one journey so for the sake of 4 euros book at least two.
The only thing to let the side down for Thomas Cook was the Rep at Ektors Apartments in Sidari.
Ricci was very poor with regards to knowledge of his job. He didn't pass on faults in the apartments for a whole week and when he did it was because I was there with him and the owner. He also gave me wrong information regarding property of mine which was damaged in transit and I needed a report form from him but he insisted that I didn't and that was nothing to do with him...wrong! and that if I did need any form I would get it at the airport and that they would back date it...wrong!
Ricci was a fun guy... if you liked being thrown into the water EVERY DAY!
We loved this place. The town is very charming the people are lovely. The beach was an absolute TOILET, disgusting. The only thing I would warn anyone about is don't be fooled into going into the Olympic restaurant to eat it is absolutely awful!
Justine, if you are hiring a moped then rest assured if you are confident on one you will be alright. I hired one for a couple of days at the weekend, the busiest days on the road, and I had great fun. Go to the Pink Panther to hire it the wee guy in there offers a very good service and will come out to you if you break down or get a puncture or ant yother unfortunate incident. A bit of advice, ask for a small moped as these are easier to manouvre on the sometimes tight streets in Sidari. Good luck and have fun, drive safely, and lastly when people on the Corfu roads toot their horns at you, don't take it personally or that they are criticising you, it's just their way of letting you know that they are there.
P.S the Pink Panther is situated at the top of Sidari next to the Baze bar (an excellent bar for breakfasting)
