hiya steve, these apartments dont have air con, but fans can be hired in a few places in sidari on a weekly basis.

hello again amy. i cant comment on the ones by olympic holidays i have never stayed at them ,but the ones with direct holidays i have been to twice this year. the first time was in june with my hubby,kids and my parents we had the two bedroomed apartments ,then in sept i went with my mum and we had a studio. both types of accomadation are basic but clean, takis and effie are a really nice couple and make you feel so welcome,they have a well stocked bar and a lovley pool area which never gets to busy, they are situated a bit back from the main streets of sidari.about a ten min walk away.

thanks bev, do you know what takis apartments are better? the olympice ones seemed nice but until we found out there are two we are unsure on where to go...

no amy the takis apartments with direct holidays are completly separate from the ones with olympic holidays.

Got home in the small hours of Tuesday 3rd Oct.....still sleepy but thought I better pop online and add my 2 cents

We had thought our holiday was going to be a total washout,literally, at first but the sun came out on Wednesday and more than made up for the torrential rain!

Our apartment couldn't have been better, the cleanliness was A++. I was a bit dubious after reading an earlier review about how clean the apartments were kept but rest assured they were spotless and despite the best efforts of my family and I the apartment remained spotless.... we're slobs on our hols... SORRY but its a fact lol

It was a holiday of "firsts" for me and the kids.

1st time flyers
1st time swimming in the sea
1st time fishing.... didn't CATCH anything but we fished nonetheless!

1st time on a horse (Costas in Roda, booked through ValuePlus) 

we pedalled a pedalo around the Canal D'Amour and (according to Jake half way to Albania )
Aqualand was well worth a visit, although I fell off my rubber ring on the Crazy River and couldn't get back on lol The kamikaze slides were frighteningly good and the wave pool was ace. a good time had by all
The lads were in the pool everyday even when it was raining. Great fun
Josh and Jenna are talking about coming back next year,just the two of them...and Josh was the one who didn't want to come in the first place. See what a good impression was made by Effi and Takis and Claire?!

Jake was impressed that he could get in a night club at 12 years old  luckily he won't be able to at home now he has a taste for night life

 

I would def' recommend Takis Appartments to family and friends and internet strangers, I'd suggest going earlier in the year though. We didn't have much choice this time about when we could visit, we'll plan better next time.

I'm sat here in my biggest fluffiest jumper missing the fact that yesterday I was walking around in my bikini

ah well.....there's always next summer to look forward to.

We had a fab time.  We loved the place and I should think we will be returning.  Perhaps for a honeymoon!

Hi I am going to Takis 1 apartments in 4 days (mon 4th Sept) I have been rather disturbed by some comments on the web and need to know am I going to the lovely Takis apartments run by Effie or am I going to the "other" ones Im so confused and rather uptight now when I should be very excited. It was a pleasure to entertain the kids, i'm not sure who had the most fun, them or me when it came to the pool. I got my own back on them though, they tired alot easier than me! and i even got you in the pool.

Maybe if we get Julia back you will return...Give my love to Kim and the kids.

Greetings from sunny (not) Cornwall. Arrived back home last night and as promised visited this web site. Found some of the comments quite amusing. Many thanks for entertaining Keelan and Cadi, how we laughed when you were pushed into the pool....! Pass on our regards to Effie and Taki. Only one negative commment this year-whilst the pool and bar cleanliness was again spotless, the apartment was not as good as previous-nothing against Effie but I feel the current cleaner is'nt up to scratch (I did speak to the rep Emma)- I'm sure that we all miss Julia....That certainly did'nt put a damper on things-we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the kids certainly will miss you-thanks againHope the heat wave is nearing its end-its raining here in Cornwall!

First of all I think it is important to clarify that there seems to bee TWO Takis apartments in Sidari. The one run by Mr and Mrs Takis which most people here seem to be refering to and then there is the Takis studios which are near the canal d'amour (across the road from the Alkion Hotel).

We had a great holiday at the Takis  it was our first trip to Corfu .Effie Takis and Claire were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.The pool was lovely,and the appartment was kept very clean we even had our towels changed mid week which we've never had before during a one week stay...we were impressed.....The weather was fantastic and we found loads to do in Sadari itself...when we werent lounging around on sunbeds by the pool that is.Theres some really good restaurants the Mythos does a fantastic lamb on the spit....Panchos Villa for a mexican exerience....The ThreeLittle Pigs for the greek experience....Try Fagins when the drag queens on  he/she is brilliant....be prepared.Well done Effie Takis and Claire for giving us a great base for a brilliant holiday

In order to request a room you need to go into the travel agents and ask them. as for rooms over looking the pool only 4 of the studios do the rest of the balconys are facing outwards rather then inwards.

just been reading through the comments on the takkis apartments, i can not understand what c. russel had to complain about. i was in room 4 and had no problem with sleeping due to traffik noise.

at the end of the day a holiday is what you make it.

i'm glad you enjoyed your holiday with us. you were fantastic. you really lightened up that fornight for me. wish i had been there that night you went to the wrong room. and its far too quiet without ryan and kevin there. miss those 2 loads.

our takis is only with direct holidays, the olympic one is somewhere completely different.

i hope you can come out in sept. give the boys my love and i hope your parents are well.

we returned last monday from a fantastic holiday at the takkis apartments, the rooms were basic but had everything you could need and were clean. the grounds are lovley as is the pool,with plenty of sun beds and parasols.

I'm really sorry to be doing this in an open forum, but i presonally felt the need to defend Effie and Takis as they are so lovely and welcoming. And i didn't see your comment about them being stubborn justified. I know everyone is entitled to there own opinions, the rooms may be basic but that is the same case in alot of hotels. Just beacuse you saw 2 that were different or in some cases better it doesn't mean they all are. Infact alot of places don't have Air conndioning unless its a newer complex. And it costs alot of money to get things like the installed in the rooms (approx 1500 euros per unit). If the heat was a problem you can hire a fan from many places on the main street. at possibley a fraction of what you would pay for air con anyway.

And as for the showers it is a hand held shower as is the case with alot of places in Greece.

Sorry just have put my oar in here, Effie and Takis's english my be limited but effies is alot better than some people on the island. But on thing they are certainly not stubborn. They are lovely people and would go out off your way to help you. If there is any problems at with the Linen then go to the bar and ask me or Effie to get you some fresh towels. And i must say you were told at the welcome meeting about the linen changes, greece esp Corfu is not Spain.

The only real issues we had with the place is the fact that you are kept up late every night by a loud tv and music. We were told that this would get turnrd down by midnight, however more often than not it was 1 and later before it was turned down.

please send me any photos or info on sidari-corfu e.g.places to eat,nites out,day trips,interesting places etc. also on takis apts & studios and surrounding area. thanks.

I have just returned from Maria apartments and we shared the same pool as the guests in Takis apartments as we were next door. It was the best holiday i have been on, we went end of October and the temp was in the 30's the whole week without any cloud or rain!As it was the end of season a lot of the food and drink was 1/2 price!Effy was an absolute gem on the hol-although i wouldnt suggest jumping in the pool,drunk at 2.30! The apartments were basic but very clean, we were about 5-10 mins walk from the town, go to three little pigs for some real greek fire dancing and plate smashing!also try simposio's!
There is another place called marias apartments (dont get too confused!) which is on the beach front and we ate there, the food was ok but nothing special.
We couldnt have asked for a betted place to stay in, the location was quiet enough to sit on the balcony at night but close enough to stumbe back from the bars and clubs! just as a warning, prepare yourself to be bitten by the mosquito's! and the whole toilet system ( which involves the bin instead of flushing!
I would def go back there, thanks for a brilliant week if anyone is reading this from 18-25 oct 04!

We had a great time here. The family were so friendly, have never experienced such hospitality anywhere else. The apartments are really lovely,we had a lovely room. We were very very sad to leave,
would love to go back again. My husband was not well while we were there, Effi really took over, she was fabulous, and she can really cook. While you are there try the Three Pigs! Very nice.

it was great in there. the owner (taki) and his wife effi (effera but she lets us call her effi) are sooo lovely, there really sweet just don't get in between taki and effi wen there havin an arguement!!!!! its a lovely place really, have fun, i'm soooo jealous i can't wait to come back next year!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to the Takis apartments in Sidari on 6th September with my friend. can anyone tell me what they are like (i have heard good reports) and also where to go at night for food and drinks
