We hav just got back from zafiris apartments this morning.

Tho only bad thing about zafiris is that you have such a good time that you dont want to go home

Enjoyed it that much last year going again in October

We have been going to Sidari,  about 5 years ongoing, not always stayed at Zafiris. We have tried a few different places. But have always came back to Zafiris, all the staff are brill. One year we thought we would go cheeper. But didna work as we always ended up walking about 2 miles to the Saxaphone bar, and to the pool.They are just so friendley. Nothing beats them. If you want peace and quite, go before kids hols. Early May. If you want Sun but not too hot, go early may. WE Luv it. Nothing to beat it. But not for the dissabled as there is a bit of a hill to climb, but they try there best to help.

Well what can I say these apartments are brillant the staff are very friendly.I think they have it just right even for disabled ramps eveywhere.As for cleaning this was our sixth year and is the first time we had maid service 6 days a week,towels and bedding changed very regular,we had room 402 and the cleaner was brillant she was ill one day so after that i used to empty my own bins and even sweeped my own room but angela used to go mad saying she should do that.would definently go back and recommend these apartments to anyone

We're new to the Greek Islands, so we were a bit disappointed with the level of cleanliness at Corfu, but we discovered that everyone has to deal with this, so that's an aside. Zafiris Apartments...what can I say? Small stone spiral stairs in split level apartments were worrying with a child. The split level apartments have camp-style beds downstairs and single beds upstairs, so if you've got kids they have to sleep downstairs, really. We've got a toddler, so we had to get one of the camp-beds put upstairs. The maid visits most days and does something. She cleans, but not everywhere, so you keep coming across big dirty areas. Oh, sorry that's cleanliness again. The Greeks are very friendly and very helpful. Zafiris, who looks after the comlex, is a really nice man who will go out of his way to meet your needs. You don't get that in other parts of the world and it is a very good strength. Other staff at Z-appts are also very helpful. Maybe a bit more than other places. Churchills restaurant down the road was also fantastic. The food was good. Lamb and steak dishes were overcooked, but don't let that put you off the other meals which were very good.The Greek night was good fun too. Saxophone, the bar, is OK. The entertainment is a bit cheesy, and there wasn't anyone watching the kids area as suggested in other places on the internet, so I was a bit disappointed, but the staff are good, they come round and get you drinks. Prices are OK and you can get food from the restaraunt or the Kahlua bar (the pool bar). Dawn (Barbie) on reception is great. She is extremely helpful and has good knowledge of the area. We didn't use the reps excursions, the reps have their own spin on other (local) companies and get it a bit wrong. We hired a car opposite Churchills and it cost €85 for 4 days. We went driving around the island which was good for visiting places quickly. Corfu isn't a very commercialised island, so don't expect to find the latest fashions or electrical bargains there. The island has a lot of character, the people are very friendly - and honest, and there is not too much hustle and bustle.

i have been here 3 times! i love going back again and again here! it's gret! beautiful landscape and a great service of friendly people! we are goin back next year but if not definately the year after. im excited already!! see all of you soon i hope!! lots of love. from hannah. The zafiris apartments are in my opinion the best in corfu, the scenery the staff and activities are great, i and my family have been going there for 6 years in a row and it rocks, we are really good freinds with them there.

P.S-- I am going there on Monday lol!!

Top apartments just dont like Corfu. I mean all the rumours about the airport...and it was fine.

 me and my husband went to sidari zafris app in aug 2005 i have 2 children who are 10 and 5 my sister also came with her husband and 3 children and they are 15 8 7, it was the best holiday i had ever had and my children loved it there is lots to do for every one in the saxaphone bar there is a big wakey house so every night when we went there are children would be off playing it was great. the hotel and complex is lovely the staff are brilliant and it is very clean. the split level app are on the top floor thats what i stayed in last time this time we are stayin in a studio one were going aug 31 07 and i cant wait. the food and entertainment here is fantastic to, children never get bored here as the staff will entertain the kids my children cant wait to go back its one hell of a holiday and havana beach is beutifull. the pic was taken at the canal d amor we hired out a speed boat it was again fantastic.

i came to sidari in may 2006 i stayed in zafiris apartments and i found all the staff brilliant especially niko  and spiros i found the pool area brilliant and i could not have wished for and even better holiday. zafiris apartments are well looked after and clean very well and i would recomend that you should visit this resort. i hope this can make people decide to go to zafiris apartments.

Accommodation & Staff - Four of us went to sunny Sidari in Corfu in May 2006.  We stayed in an apartment for 4 people in Zafiris Hotel.  It was one of the best holiday places.  Clean well maintained apartments.  Lovely sea & pool view. Restaurant & pool staff friendly and very helpful.  Zafiris, George, Niko, Spiro 1 & Spiro 2 made us all very welcome.  None of them minded going an extra mile to make our stay pleasant.  Meal times & pool times were a delight.  The chef & his team were very accommodating with our red chilli pepper hot vegetarian meal requests.  Definitely a place to go back to just for the accommodation, food & service with a smile.

Trips – Think carefully when taking trips.  It is advisable to check what is included in the cost as prices are more expensive via the tour operators than local tour companies.  We got caught in this as we decided to play safe and stick with the tour operator First Choice trips. We found the tour prices did not include anything except the trip and everything else was an optional extra.  We were not told of this beforehand by the tour rep Gemma.  We did complain on return but she was not too bothered. 

Definitely recommend the grand tour of the island – our driver was excellent bearing in mind the steep incline and narrow roads on the island.  You can take in the green scenery, olive groves, lovely villages, wonderful shopping & great eating places.  (First choice cost 37 euros – local cost 21 euros).

Did not think much of the anti-Paxos and Paxos trip though the boat trip along the water was very pleasant. We did not stop at anti-Paxos because of rough seas and there was not much to do for 3 hours we were given at Paxos. (First choice cost 36 euros – local cost 20 euros). 

Apart from these our holiday was perfect – no hassle or problems of any sort.

I must not forget - you will also find very good food & accommodating staff at Nicholas restaurant just opposite the Saxophone bar. 

Pre-booking seats – we found there was no need for this as we were not eating in the plane as the seats are already allocated.  On the day you fly out check if this is the case with your flight provider as you may be able to save some money.

Something to bear in mind – if you ensure you take the precautions you normally would at home I am sure you will enjoy your holiday as much as we did.

For Mandy Cooper I believe you can hire pushchairs in Sidari its self you could last year I do know.

We have been to the Zafiris appartments 3 times already and are going back again this year in July. Each time we have went we have had a great time, Staff are very friendly go out their way to make your holiday good. We have stayed in a 1 bedroom appartment each time and have always been in the main section of the complex, appartments are spotless and have only had one thing wrong [broken fridge] and that was sorted right away. If you have any problems at all speak to Zafiris and he will sort them out for you. Can't wait to go back again this year.

i stayed down the road from the zafiris apartments but me and my girlfriend mel fell in love with the saxaphone bar and the zafiras pool!! the service was excellent and the pool gorgeous!! we wished we were staying there!! The waiters were BRILLIANT they even did a birthday cake and party for my birthday in Sept 2004. It was rainy a few days and this bar etc really cheered us up and next time we go we would love to stay here!!! xxxx

Lovely accomodation and fablous complex.  The staff are wonderful and the food is of excellent quality in the complex and all over the resort of Sidari.  A must, dine on the terrace of the complex overlooking the Canal d'Amour.

just got back from corfu yesterday after a fantastic fortnight at the zafiris apartments.   anyone thinking of a holiday on corfu should head hear.the service from the staff is first class wether round the pool or restaurant or rooms,all are friendly and helpful.after a boat trip to corfu town last friday we arrived back at zafiris at 11.30 and the restaurant provided a full menu for all nine of us.when we left at two in the morning to return home the staff at the saxophone bar shook our hands and waived us of.sick of being back here already.

We have just come back from the best two weeks holiday we've had. We've never been to apartments who care for their guest's so much. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the play area's. The one in the Saxophone bar was ideal as we could watch them play while we relaxed and had a drink. I will be going back next year if we can afford it.

We have just come back from spending a fortnight at these apartments, and had a fantastic time, the staff go out of their way to make you welcome and relaxed, everyone is so friendly and the kids were happy so we were happy. It was very clean and the food was brilliant. I would recommend the Zafiris to anyone and hopefully if we can afford it would love to go back next year.

Without doubt the best holiday we have had.  The most wonderful people I have ever met, nothing is too much trouble.  Returning again July 2005 and counting the days.  Something for everyone here.  Anyone not happy is looking for  something to moan about!

   We have booked to go to the Zafiris Apartments in August, and we have been checking up on the reviews because we have had bad experiences in the past.  People keep mentioning about Zafiris 1 & 2 and the good and not so bad points, but no-one seems to have answered on which is the best apartment block - if we know which one is the better then we can take steps to find out whether we have made a mistake with our booking - although hardly anyone has had a bad word to say - so hopefully this year we will have made the right choice -

Am thinking of booking a sea view studio apartment for 2 to go in June . I have read mixed reviews about Zafiris 1 and 2. One person has said that Zafiris 1 is above the Co-op and nightclub and about a 10 min walk to the actual Zafiris apartments and another has said the same about Zafiris 2. Can someone please tell me which one is the best to stay in that is in the main Zafiris apartments. Also, can anyone tell me what the actual studio apartments are like and how far it takes to walk to the main part of Sidari.

We stayed in the same 2 bedroom apartments in August 2004.
All apartments are up the hill; the apartment you have booked is behind the restaurant, overlooking the pool and does have a side view of the sea. You are on the 1st floor of a 2 storey block of apartments (i.e. ground floor & 1st floor); you're apartment is split level with the main bedroom and bathroom upstairs and the childrens room/living room and kitchen downstairs. If you're children are little you may have to be careful about the spiral staircase. The staff are excellent and very friendly; you have made a wise choice; the night entertainment is in the saxaphone bar. There are plenty of other hosteleries and restaurants to choose from. You can eat British food(not my choice)or Greek (from commercial greeek food to traditional dishes) Our favourite was the village restaurant about a 5 minute walk from the Zafiris.

We have booked a 2 bedroom apartment with side sea view. Does this mean we will be up the the hill next to the pool? We have just booked a 2 bedroom appartment at the Zafiris appartments in August 2005. We have read numerous reports on how good it is, but several ones that say we must make sure we are in the right appartment. Does anyone know the difference between 1 & 2?

We travelled to Sidari in 2003 and stayed at the Zafiris apartments with 2 Adults 1 15 year old 1 3 year old and 1 10 year old disabled child. We have never before or since been on such a brilliant holiday. The staff are excellent, the veiws are spectacular and the kids club was the best in the 15 years we have been going on holiday. The bar attached to the hotel has a wacky warehouse type play area where they hire an English Lady to look after your children while you have a drink in the bar. Not one bad meal in the local restaurants, We never go back to the same place twice but we would definately go back here. We recommended it to friends and they agree. Rooms are spotless, and of a really good size.

This was my first holiday abroad and I would recommend it to anyone. All the staff were very friendly, Spiros, the 2 Dimitris, Yannis and George (the one my girlfriend fell in love with hehe) Great for kids as there is a kids club for a few hours a day where you can drop them off and you can just relax. All in all brilliant holiday will definatly be going back next year.

The best holiday we have had even our 15 year old lad want's to go back next year. The staff were the best we have ever met they made us feel so special.

Just got back from Corfu and it was the best holiday we have ever had. Will definatly be going back next year if only to see all the gorgeous waiters... Couldnt fault a thing here.

hello fellow travellers, just got back from our fabulous holiday with the lovely spiros's and friends. great service had by all!!!!! we're depressed to be home so saving to immigrate and grow olives with the lovely greek men and their bums!!photo's are excellent so very white, no tan achieved (far to busy!)we love the greek and hate england!!! send our love to all the men at the bar, pool and restaurant. missing them! happy holiday, enjoy the view's! pack us up when you leave. have fun. hayley and katexxx

this was the best holiday ever. i went with three other friends and we got on so well with the staff, they treated us all like kings and also got a discount at the saxaphone bar as we stayed at the apartments. everything was absolutly beautiful. a must do is to have an evening meal at the top end of the resterant right near the cliff edge. the canal de mar is also very gorgeous and you are sure to get a tan. i would recommend this to any one. if anybody is having worries about children then there is no need there are plenty of child activities to do with a large pool with floating toys. the waiters will also provide execellent entertainment. wish i could go back . have a great time i know you will. a must do is to go on a boat trip around the nearby island this is a great day out and very cheap about 10 euro. have fun.

Im just back from Sidari absolutely loved it. Went to the Saxaphone Bar nearly every night. The bar men are all sexy especially Dimitri (the hunk with the long black sexy hair). Arrived home this morning after spending a great week at the zafaris apartments.

Food was excellent, plenty of choice and very reasonably priced.
Staff are great, VERY friendly, Cheerful even after working a 16hour day.
Pool was excellent very clean and tidy.
Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean.
Saxophone bar is a great place for the evening. Lots of different entertainment and the dj nikki plays all types of music to suit everyone.

Staff at the resort are the best you will find in sidari.
make sure you say hi to Spiros ( George Michael lookalike ) And nicos, george, yannis, angela they are all great for a laugh.

Will definatly be going again as soon as funds allow.

I am about two seconds away from booking a holiday to the Zafiris Apts - but the flights are quite late. The return flight would be taking off at 6.10am - I was just wondering whether we would be keeping the room until this time or whether we have to vacate midday on the previos day - i.e. so we'll have to wait around? If anyone who has been or knows of the pick-up times of flights at this time in the morning could let me know that would be great.

Me and my boyfriend went to Zafiris Apartments in September 2003, luckily we'd just missed the bad weather!!!! It was really hot and I enjoyed every minute of it. As soon as we got there Zafiris came out to meet us and took us all to our rooms and showed us around, he was such a nice person. The accomadation was lovely and really clean. We can't fault this holiday at all, it was wonderful.

we went to the zafiris apartments in september when it was bad weather which was a bit of a let down but the happy smiling faces in the saxaphone bar kept our spirits up. i'd like to thank spiros, who was so friendly and looked after all our family and called us by our first names and bought us drinks. it was a good holiday, made loadsa mates.probly go bak, but only to see spiros as he was quite fit!!

Been to Zafiris appartments twice now had an excellent holiday both times. Great for kids and staff are very friendly. Best pool area in Sidari. Will definitly going back year after year.

We went 2 Sidari in August 2003. We didnt actually stay at the Zafiris apartments but found them on the second day of our holiday. After that we were there all day every day and at night we went 2 the Saxaphone bar also run by the Zafiris. All the staff were fantastic and always smiling,they would do anything for you. We are hoping 2 go back this August and stay there this time. BRILLIANT HOLIDAY HAD BY ALL.

Wow !!!!!!!! what a fantastic place to stay,everything was brill,kids loved the pool and Zafiris,costas and staff were so friendly,a special thank you to Spiros who looked after us all holiday,lovely man.The rooms were very clean and great veiws,the waterfall restaruant i would highly recommend,try the cheese garlic bread mmmmmmmmm!The sax bar belonging to the complex was were we spent most evenings,bars staff great and nikki(dj) plays great music.Best place we have ever stayed,booked to go back next year and counting the days.Thanks to all staff at Zafiris look forward to seeing you all again next year.

I am going to the Zafiris Appartments on Oct 13th with my two teenage grandsons 18 and 16 (their first visit abroad ) do you think it will be suitable for them Also i have heard that the roads leave a lot to be desired

We're going to the Zafiris Apartments in Sidari, Corfu in 2 weeks, 22/9-29/9 and I can't wait. It's mine and my boyfriends first holiday abroad and from what I've read on here it's the most perfect place to be!!!!

We would go again.

We first went to Zafiris Appartments in 1997 and have been back every year since. We consider Costas, Zafiris and all of our friends who work there as part of our family. We have enjoyed many happy times and many enjoyable nights/mornings in the Sax Bar. It is not uncommon to go to bed at 5.00 a.m. and still be by the pool for 10.00 a.m. We have met numerous people that have been many times before and this in itself is testimony to the warmth and hospitality extended by all of the staff.

We have just booked again for 2004 and it can't come soon enough

We were there, early May, so it was nice and quite, no screaming kids. Met some nice people (holiday makers) which we still keep in contact with. Great holiday, all the staff were so nice. The meals were great with a good choice. The Saxaphone bar was good crack. And Zafiris himself helped us out with a problem with a hired car when we couldn't get a hold of the rep. Will be going back soon.

After reading the excellent comments and seeing these apartments in the brochure I'm interested in booking a holiday here but would like to know if the owners have cats as I9 have a phobia.

where do you start with comments about zafiris apartments!! they helped complete the best european holiday we have ever had. on day one spiros introduced himself to me and my partner and then for the rest of the holiday all the staff called us by our names. all the staff were aware of the children in your party and it was like having an extra 10 pairs of eyes about the complex. the pool was excellent and location for the best beach in sidari was excellent. the food was great from the waterfall restaurant on site, you could lay by the pool order your food and it would be brought to you with your beer (heaven). the sax bar was great as the children have a play area that is sup**vised and there is a pool and snooker table to keep them occupied. many nights we left at 4am with the children wanting to stay even later!!! thank you to all the staff at zafiris for creating the atmosphere for the most enjoyable family holiday we have ever had. we will be back one day once we visit a few other places that are on our list.

We have just got back and we are definately going again! 2 Bed apartment spacious, clean and well decorated with a lovely balcony. Zafiris came to the apartment to greet us within minutes of arrival, and the owner Costas sought us out at the pool to say hello. All of the waiters were fantastic, could not do enough for you, very polite and helpful (Good looking too!)We considerd ourselves lucky to be there as everything was on tap for a wonderful relaxing holiday. Location was superb, on a cliff over looking the sea. We recommend booking a table in the sunset resturant to watch the sun go down - what an experience!!
