Not really a comment about the accommodation. just wanted to know how long a walk it is to sidari centre from scorpios 1 apartments and do the rooms have balconies. Thanks.
Hi Me and my friend have just returned from a two week holiday in sidari, corfu and we really enjoyed ourselves. In fact we are going back next year to live and work. We stayed at the Scorpios 1 apartments and although they were very basic, they were also very clean and the maid changed the linen and towels almost every day. The poolside is great, there is also a bar that serves food. For the best breakfast though I would suggest you visit salt and pepper this is bout 2 minutes walk up the road on the same side as the hotel, the full english breakfast is lovely and costs 3,60 euros which is not much and includes tea or coffee, orange juice, toast and the breakfast itself. Nightlife in sidari is great, they have different things for all ages some good bars include, Black Horse Bar, IQ Bar, Boleros, Oh la la, and for the more outgoing and younger crowd there are varius nightclubs situated in the town such as Mint, Caesars and Shakers, but these places dont liven up until 1am in the morning then they go right through.
Sidari beach is really nice and also holds the blue flag for the safest of beaches. The albatross watersports are also very good, they have things like ringos, paragliding, banana boat and water skiing.
all in all our holiday to sidari was the best and we are really looking foeward to going back next year. If anyone would like any further information on the resort dont hestiate to contact me: katiemush@hotmail.com
Just booked an holiday for the first week in August at the Scorpios Studios. Is this this the same place as the apartments?
Any information on this would be appreciated as there will be 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children)and need to be assured that the accommodation is up to a reasonable standard. Thanks, Mark
we have just come back from a 2wk holiday at the scorpios II appts, we were shocked at how basic they are, they were ok. we did not do any of the trips the reps tried to get us to go on , cost to much, look around, we found a place called Vlasseros Travel, the chap in there is called Phillip, he was reasonablely priced, also look round for car hire. San Remos was the best for cooked b/fast and the Mimosa Hotel for dinner, 4.50 euros for b/fast and 6.50 for 3 course dinner. we found it all quite expensive really, we had to be out of our room by 12noon, but we stayed on untill 7pm for an extra 18euros, we left our bags at the bar, when we arrived back from eating out, our bags were left unattended, the coach back to the airport should have arrived at 00.10am but never got to us till 1.00am, we have a 9 &7year old kids, disabled mother we were left to stand out in the street till our coach arrived, it was cold, kids were tired, cars racing up and down the road. see how you find it, got lovely sun tans.
