I'm sitting in the boring office drinking soup to keep me warm and dreaming of Roda and sunshine! Can't wait to go back. Have booked for 15th August. I know Tom is going but is anyone else?

I used to go on holiday to Roda every year but after a break of 5 years(had to try out other places)I just cannot wait to see all of the people that made my holiday so special and welcoming before. I hope Anna and Angelo are still at the Alexandros Apartments as they are so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be paying them a visit along with Sefan and Michelle at the Drunken Sailor and Nikos, Maria, Olga and Miltos at Nikos Bar on the beach and Steve and Costas at the Roda Park restaurant.

my god jeff you are a complete loser. see your back again writing a load of old crap. we've been to the alexandros four times now and absolutely love it. people are great and they certainly keep you entertained, so anyone thinking of going to roda, go here, you'll have the best time! the only reason you don't like it is because they don't cater for moody b*****ds like you! get a bloody life.

Just got back from alexandros had a brill time lovely people anna and angelo who own it they make you feel very welcome !! The food is lush
and not bad on prices . we loved the music they play its relaxing just what you need !! so take no notice of the tosser jeff that keeps slagging alexandros off and go there and see for your self !!!

Oh dear-I dont have a son. Not me then! I love all you know it alls. Im off to Roda next week, so I wonder if you will spot me. I doubt it. Not staying at Alexandros-Mind you who would. So some of YOU guest throw towels in the pool as well. See, that just ties up with exactly what I have been saying about the type of person that stays there. I shall be relaxing in comfort and style, full board, in my hotel, with guess who-my greek partner. So dont give me a lot of old cobblers about not knowing about greek culture or people!!!

Nice to see you back JEFF after you 2 week holiday in roda, did you enjoy it. i just came back after a lovely holiday at Alexandros , for the 2nd time this year, nice apts nice people, nice bar, made my kids and myself very welcome.

we are going to roda corfu in three weeks 13/9/o4 we are staying at the alexandros appartments and cant wait cause we have heard so much good things about it anyone else going for the same two weeks ??? the only thing i heard bad is that if you dont buy a drink of food they wont let you stay by the pool !!!!!!!

The twin bedroom studios were very basic, but that's whats to be expected in Greece really, but they were also very clean - the maids did a very good job! However, there was a wasps nest right above our balcony which was rather worrying lol, but we didn't get stung or anything. The bar staff were generally friendly, and the pool was excellent. They did tend to like playing loud music quite early in the morning though, but I kinda got used to that. We had a great holiday overall, and the apartments are in a really good location just off the main road but still really near to just about every amenity!

we had the best 2weeks of our life thanks to anna, angelo and 007(george) and the rest of the gang, jeff my dad is not nothern and is not a t**t but he would kick your a**e any day, so i suggest u keep away from corfu, because you certainly aint welcome at alexandros, its only for people who know how 2 enjoy themselves... any young new people arriving in roda the place to drink drunken sailor, superb atmosphere..... see you all again 15th august 2005!! love to all kelly and serena xxx

We have been going to Corfu for 20 years now been all over the Island, best place is Roda, Alexandros apartments, each time we go its gets better, love Anna,Angelo,Sofia,Spiros, lovely beach cafe and bar at Alymiros beach try it not for from Roda.

I and 5 friends have just returned from Alexandros apartments 2 weeks ago and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED it, it was perfect for the kind of holiday we were looking for, relaxing in the day, lively at night (but not like Kavos!). Despite being put in the wrong hotel on the first night thanks to First Choice, when we realised we were in the Alex apartments we were so happy! The pool was so lovely we just slept by it all day with the nutters Anna, Angelo and the young Greek pool boys to chat to (girls beware the Greek men!!) and nice food and cocktails bought right to your sunbed! The rooms were simple but clean (The cleaner was lovely as well)and it's in a great position, right next to all the nice restaraunts and bars. Wish I was there now, not stuck in rainy England. Anyone going there-ENJOY

are all the people at the alexandros apts loopy if not why not we have known angelos costos and vangelis the captain for many many years angelos acually had hair then.we go away to relax and have fun which we do .the gang at the alexandros make sure of it.you could not wish for a nicer crew and friends .we will be back on 27/5/05.brian please get some easy quiz questions for me. luv betty and jim xxxxxx

daer susie there is now air conditioning in the rooms at alexandros in the upstairs apts, at a small daily charge,as i was there in may and they came in handy at night as they blow hot air as well. bri

there are no safes in the rooms at alexandros apts you use the safes at the travel shop over the road from the pool,

we have just booked to stay at the alexandros appartments in september for two weeks . but in the brochure it said nothing about safes in the rooms ??? any of you guys know ?? email if you do thank you !!! joandlee@aol.com

had a wonderful time on holiday at alexandros last week..weather was glorious and the company fantastic. was really really pleased with the apartments and the pool..definately the best we saw in roda and the cleanest. anna and angelo and very friendly and welcoming. recommend to anyone..see you soon guys..we will be back!!!! sarah and chris x

We travelled to Corfu in May 2002 and promised ourselves we would return to see Anna and Angelo and the gang. Although it has a taken a little longer than expected we are due to return this May with 3 other couples. We can never thank Anna and Angelo enough for making our first stay so remarkable and memorable. They are both a pair of jokers who will have you in stitches along with the rest of the staff and family. We salute you all and look forward to seeing you very soon. ********** You surpass all ratings and Five stars are definately not enough to rate your bar/pool and associated apartments.

hello everybody, I bet we all wish we were back in sunny Roda right now. It's bloody freezing in Scotland this week. We stayed in Alexandros apartments a couple of trips ago. They were very good basic accomadation, bit pricey but the fact that you had Anna and Angelo right on your doorstep was worth it. A lovely couple(right nutters) but lovely all the same ! Brian the resident D.J who tries to stretch your mind with his famous faces quizzes (new ones in the post Brian !) Spiros who mixes the weidest cocktails on the island (not to mention drinks for spoof !) and Harry the cuddliest barman in the resort. We really enjoy coming back year after year to see you all.
I know that the pool will be closeing now and that you should be taking a well earned break. Who knows you might like to try out Britain for a change and see what Jeff was missing ! Mind you I would stick to Scotland just in case you run into him. Angelo wouldn't like the food in prison!

Just read jeff's new letter, and its full of s**t just like his mouth. I am going back next year with my two daughters this will be our fourth year. Its a great place full of cheer and happiness.The whole gang are great who we meet every year, we always have a good time, but this year we will get les's cue. Anna and Angelo are the best hosts you could wish for but not forgetting spiro and the rest of the greeks. so Jeff keep your gob shut, we will find you... See you all again in the first two weeks of August.

I've already put comments on the Pool Bar site, but was directed to this as well by my very good friend (u know who u r!)I stayed at Silver Beach hotel, but spent all my pool time at the lovely Alexandro's so that should tell you something! I won't have a word said against Angelo, Anna & the gang, I can only hope that the comments contained elsewhere here are a wind-up.
I believe you get out of a holiday what you put in, if you are friendly, courteous and willing to meet people half way you'll do just fine. I'm really not worried and neither should the many fine people who go to Roda be, for as long as certain people stay away, we can all enjoy ourselves. hi all at the bar!!! i am not proud to be belong uk after jeffs comm ents!! i am not a loud person or none of my family,we have been to roda many times,also have been all over the world on very expense hols, but the welcome we get from all the the bar is second to none. the pool is always exsteemly clean most of the locals use it because of its cleaniess!!! believe me i am fussy!!. i had a accident 2yrs ago anna was very helpful!! lovely people, wonderful family holiday have recommended it to my friends who now visit yearly as well!! so sorry for this mans comments see you soon.

Jeff, Im sorry for you, you sound like the type of bloke who wants English holidays in foreign countries. These greek people are simple but loving and do not believe in material goods as a way of proof that they have money, unlike the majority of us. To be friendly andcourtesy in return is all they ask.

To be fair they have licences to keep and that includes not allowing people to eat their own food round the bar. If you felt pressurised then I can only say you are probably the only one,ever,that this has happened to.

We dont buy a lot round the pool but are still treated like one of the family. (remember the pool party for Zoe last year) the food was incredible. The English couple who got married there also had a fantastic time, Anna was a gem.

We have been going to Roda for 20 years now and have made many friends. Yes we like a drink and a good meal, all of which you get at Annas. In fact Roda is one of the few places where you do not get the trots- unlike the so-called spanish resorts, which are clean on the outside and minging behind closed doors.

If you dont like a holiday then dont go back but dont put people off just because you are hard to please.

Anna, Angelo, Spiros,(how is the baby) and everyone else, YOU ARE THE BEST.

We have been going to Roda as a family for the last seventeen years
and will continue to go there untill it is no longer humanly possible. We chose Roda all those years ago and it was the very first time we had ever been abroad and as far as we are concerned we could not possibly have picked a better place for our holidays. As for our dearest friends Anna and Angelo you could not ask for better friends or hosts in all of Roda, the pool is excellent, food is excellent and the service is absolutely top quality. This bloke Jeff obviously doesn't have a clue about holidays he is one of these people who would never ever be satisfied with anything. He is like these people we watch on Holidays from Hell absolute idiot. Perhaps he should have gone to the Middle East for his holiday I am sure he would have found something to his liking in Iraq because as far as we are concerned that is where he belongs. Get a life Jeff because you you obviously don't have one. All our Love to Anna and Angelo who are more than friends they are family to us and anyone else who chooses tolet them be, they are the best. We love it and everyone is fab, including bald Brian and Legless! hahaha! We are always made to feel welcome like one of the family (they just didn't like you Jeff, and to be honest we can see why! they aren't pushy and it's a great place to have a holiday. Now Jeff I feel that you are being abit harsh about a holiday that you obviously didnt want to go on! Perhaps it isnt the place you wanted to go to but you got bullied into it by an outside force!

I come from Blackpool and believe me if you want to see loud bad people come hear! leave the Alexandros out of it! me and my family have been going to Roda since 1992 and my parents well before that and if I thought that the pool was not clean I wouldnt bring my gran and auntie.

You are just someone that is sad and If something was really wrong with it more people would have complained! So you and your one man band just buck up your ideas and find some 10000000000000000 STAR complex on the moon so us decent folk can enjoy our holiday without moaning people like you!

Jeff, I have never seen the pool murky at Alexandros, and I use it really often.

We have just got back from Roda, met loads of good people Jeffaz, Chris, Becky, Tom Ann and Rachel and loads of others all a great laugh its just like one big happy family can't wait to get back there next year best holiday we've ever had, best people we've ever met.

i came back from alexandros yesterday and am counting the days until i can go back. i am not a t**t, i am not northern and i do not booze all day and haven't met anyone like that there in the last couple of years. we met people there who go there every year and we met them last year. we also met people who hadn't been there before who said they will also go back. surely if jeff felt it really was that bad there are plenty of other pools/bars he could have gone to. angelo, anna, brian and les are brilliant people who make you feel very welcome and are fantastic company who make sure you have an enjoyable holiday.

No sorry Jeff, we were staying at the apartments as well and did not feel at all pressured to buy drinks or anything are you sure your are talking about the right apartments!!

I have to disagree with Jeff yes there were one or two rather loud people at the Alexandros but it is definately a good place. Anna works her socks off whilst Angelo sits at the bar trying to look good. Les and Brian are great (we did win a few of Brian's quizzes). The pool was brilliant, lovely and clean. The food is amazing you definately need to go on a diet after a holiday at the Alexandros. The number of people who go back there year after year says it all really. We had a fab two weeks and will almost certainly be back.

Superb place. Last year was 4th time in Corfu and 1st at Alexandros. Going back in 3 weeks (11/8/2003). They (Anna, Angelo & Spiros - Ozzie Ardeilles lookalike) make you feel very welcome and cook a mean Sunday Roast! Am taking quite a few lighters though as they tend to nick them! Is my birthday while we're there this year but not letting on as God knows what they will get up to. Gill Harris

Me and my daughter when last year and have just got back this year 20/8/2002 food and pool brillent spiro abit dodgy anna and angelo great but if you go watch out for your lighters its the best holiday i have ever had.be there again next year great food loads of drink great pool see you all next year mal& kelly
