Stayed at the hotel this August and September, the people were friendly though I personally would not stay there again. The bathroom was filthy the bedding never changed a bare wire with plug dangling on the end in the childs room. We had the family room first floor on the corner. The people were friendly and the pool spotless but the food was not the best, hence we used to eat in Big Bens for breakfast and found some fab resteraunts for evening meal. We did complain about the room but alas nothing was done, i even sat and watched them clean one morning and it's not what we would call cleaning. Having said all that I would return to Roda just not the Aphrodite, sorry if this offends but I have to tell the truth over how we found it. Louise Blackpool Lancashire 2014

Hi Joy,
great hotel good location very polite staff good clean rooms ,pool is great only one little tiny niggle the sun beds could do with some mats,
Just returned after our 3 visit to this hotel - last time was 5 years ago and we were pleased to see that nothing had changed!! It's still absolutely spotless and the staff are all just as friendly and remembered us as soon as they saw us. We won't be leaving iut so long before we go back next time as we'd forgotten just how much we love it there!
hi how did you up grade to a sea view? we booked in to this hotel next year thanks.
Returned on 15th sept 2008 from this hotel the roos were very clean as cleaned everyday the sea view rooms is well worth the extra as the view of albania is amazing. the best friendly bar is definatly Smileys bar the staff are acee and very friendly it also has a rooftop restaurant with fair prices for food. back to the hotel the bar is nice to sit and have a chat in and is open till baout 1 so u can pop in for your last drink of the night
I have been to roda quite a few times now! i love it sooooo much. i have sooo many friends out there now....hi to you all!!! miss you all tho
We stayed at the Aphrodite from the 28 August till the 11 September and thought it was a really nice hotel.
It is in a ideal location right in the middle of the resort, to both sides of the hotel there is restaurants, shops and bars.
The room was very clean, they came every day to clean the room and the towels were probably changed about five time in the two weeks.
The bar was really nice, it was really relaxing having a drink looking out to sea and across to Albania. The staff at the bar were very friendly.
The pool area was nice but we did not actually go to this pool, we went to a pool at the Panorama which was really nice.
The only downside was on our last night, there was a leak in the bathroom and there was water all over the floor. We went to reception to tell them and they were a bit rude about it and said as we were going home the next day there was not much they could do. This was fair enough but you would have thought that they would like to maintain their hotel?
Apart from that, we had a really nice holiday and would definately go back to this hotel and to Roda again.

I really like the Aphrodite hotel, very friendly staff and enjoyed the food, rooms are clean
We thought the Hotel was in a excellent location, there was some noise from the road, but not to much that you cant sleep, the only bad thing about the hotel was that it has Big Bens next to it, the bar causes more noise than any traffic. The rooms were cleaned every day and we had no problems with our room, it is worth paying the extra as the views of Albania are stunning(see picture). The breakfast provided was adequate and the extras were a fair price if you needed them. The hotel pool is nice and clean and the bar is reasonable for snacks and drinks. The beach at Roda is small but very nice, although it could do with being cleaned more regularly than what we seen we hired our sunbeds from a little old lady who sat next to the boat hire, she was very friendly and her sunbeds were the cheapest. The resort of Roda was nice and quite when we where there (May2006), it is lovely but i hope it doesnt get any more english bars and restaurants then it already has, we prefered to eat greek and we found that it was easy to do so, prices for meals were very reasonable in most restaurants 28 euros (£20) for 2 courses each with wine was the normal price we paid All in all we really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel, but get out and about if you can and see some more of Corfu
Well we have been to Roda and the Aphrodite and really enjoyed it. The staff were really nice and made you feel very welcome. The hotel is right on the road / seafront but we didn't really notice any noise. Okay you could hear the traffic going past when the balcony doors were open but wouldn't you find that anywhere. The hotel is very clean and the pool area too.
Hi Could you please let me know the following about the Aphrodite Hotel: 1. Do they have safety deposit boxes in the room? If so, is there and what is the charge for these? If they have not got them in the room, have they got them elsewhere? (i.e. when we stayed in Zante last year they had them in their shop) 2. Do the rooms have air conditioning? If so, what is the cost? Also, do they have fans to rent or is there anywhere local you could get a fan from? 3.Also, how did you cope without having a fridge in the room? I do not care about food as we always eat out but whenever I go on holiday I like to have a big bottle of cold water (and also like having cold wine!)
We have stayed at the Aphrodite Hotel several times over the years and have not been disturbed by traffic noise. The hotel is run by a pleasant local family who ensure that their guests are well looked after during their stay and we would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Hi We are staying at this Hotel in September 2006. I have noticed in quite a few comments that people have mentioned the road noise at night. I am a really light sleeper and am a little concerned about this, is it really that bad? Can anyone recommend a room number that is away from the road so I can request it through our tour operator?
would like to book in the Hotel Aphrodite, but is there any tea making facilities available in the rooms thanks very much chris
Loved it! The place is lovely and clean, in a fantastic location. I know a few people were bothered by the noise (which is caused by mopeds and motorbikes mostly, but occassionally by other holiday makers laughing at their friends trying on hats with hair attached at the supermarket- it was rather amusing to see).
Absolutely fantastic again - last stayed here two years ago and it's just the same!!! Everything about this hotel is wonderful - located just across a quiet road from the beach, staff are very friendly and helpful especially Haroula & Spiros, Aphrodite & Takis, Spros, Nouffres and Angelo. Rooms are spotless and the continental breakfast is excellent. Cooked 'English' breakfasts are available at an extra cost but why go to Greece to eat British food anyway. Rooms are basic (some with bath/shower, some with shower only) and do not include fridges or tea making facilities - it's a hotel not a block of apartments. If you stay around the pool all day you are NOT allowed to bring food and drink in from outside - this is the same for all hotels though. I would not recommend this hotel or resort if you are young, free & single and looking for a lively holiday - go to Sidari or Kavos for that!
Can anyone tell me was there a fridge in your room if not how did you cope with fresh food and drinks, is there a bath and shower or just shower, are the rooms air conditioned, are there any drink making facilities in the room , are there many cash machines near by if so how close to Hotel.
Would say much the same as the last comments. Hotel was fine but the noise from the passing traffic at night was a real pain. If you're a light sleeper then you'll have problems. Also would have liked the towels changed more often. The cleaners were happy to give you fresh towels when you asked them but I really think twice a week isnt enough.
Snack bar and restaurant were good. Pool was good. On the main road which was handy but, as said already, made it noisy at night.
