Elizabeth Apartments

We had a brill time.All the staff helped to make it a memorable holiday for all the right reasons.Dimitri didn't make it in time to say goodbye on Monday morning,so couldn't have his photo taken-sensible man!Hopefully be back next year-it had everything needed for a relaxing time.Thanks to everyone.

Hi this is Jane Whitehead. Came home last monday after our third stay at Elizabeth Appartments (with Mum, Brian and Di). Unfortunately whilst I was there this time I took ill and was taken into Corfu Hospital for a couple of days. Helen, Costas, Dimitri and Nikos were brilliant, not only did they arrange for the Doctor to come (within 5 mins) but their kindness and concern made a traumatic time much easier. I can't thank them enough but then everyone who knows them would not be surprised by this! Despite this still had a great holiday and have already booked again for next year. Look forward to seeing our special friends again.

i just wanna say that i think this place is great i dont intend on going to another country i dont think anywere could b better i love roda it has everything that i want in a great holiday so why waste money and go anywere else... its quite and friendly i have a little boy and i trust taking him to corfu i know its safe and friendly and i dont have any worries (except for flying :) going there each year

the family who own the apartments are really nice people and i think if ur respectful, polite and friendly then u were get the same back:) helen and demitri are always on hand for great food and demitri is great with the kids also costa and nikos are the night guys they get the drinks with a smile and if u wanna have a friendly conversation then they will join in :)

we have already booked for next year and this time were going for two weeks which i cant wait ..... last year was great and the heat was out of this world heat wave or what :) this year we had a few days rain but that didnt matter to me i enjoyed my holiday and i dont regret going at all :) infact if i had to id do it all over again

roda corfu is a perfect family holiday place and the people who live in the small town are great too... my dream holiday would be here everytime and idea of paradise is here too

thank u to everyone at the elizabeth me and my family will be back for our 4th visit to ur apartments and i know it wont be our last

I think Mr Skeavington must have recorded his comments against the wrong place. Was he in fact somewhere else? Any holiday when the weather is poor can be difficult, but his description of the place and especially Costa does not sqaure with my own experiences or those of the many others who have recorded comments on this site. If you go the Med and it rains then the kids get bored. Fact. Perhaps he should stick to Butlins.

Appartments looked great but i guess we wewre unlucky having the appartment that was damper than the pool
the staf at the elizabeth were all great except for costa who basically just wanted your money and wasnt interested in making sure you had a good time
the weather sucked but hey no-one can control the weather
having 4 children and lots of rain didnt help i guess but only thing to do was drink and eat kids hated it except for the 2 days of sun.
Wasnt what i expected at all nothing to do no water sports and tobacco was well cheaper from the man at home than from greec the fags were ok though i recommend leader they were ok for 70p a pack.
I asked costa to try to convince us to come back next year as it should have been a good holiday but he said that it didnt matter to him if we came back or not.

No entertainment at all except for footy on the tv costa did actually turn onto cartoon network for the kids one night as they were that board they couldt sleep (hats off to him for that)
Tere were boards showing entertainment around hte complex but when asked were the entertainment was he said it started next week!!!

wouldnt recomend this to anyone with a young family that wants to go early in the season it might be better later on but the first week forget it no value for money at all

Just got back yesterday from our 3rd visit to this superb place.meet many old friends and made some new ones.cant thank Helen,Costas ,Dimitri and Nicos enough for making us feel so welcome,it feels more like visiting family than going on holiday.

Just wanted to say that Jo and I had a fantastic holiday at the Elizabeth Apartments, this was mainly due to the friendliness of the Family. So a big thankyou to Costa, Helen, Dimitri and Nikos. What a lovely place will definately be going back soon. Have recommended it to all my family and friends. Keep up the good work guys, happy summer.

just got back from our 3rd visit to elizabeth was great except for the weather lol :) but we still got a good tan.. already booked for two weeks next year.

thank u costa and nikos for a great time at night and thank u demetri and helen for the great food and services my mum and dad say a big hi and my dad says a big hello to grandad demetri. we all had good fun... the apts were great as ever very clean just right for a relaxing holiday... the cocktails were very great hehe ''FREE WILLY'' is yummy :)

Hi to you all at the Elizabeth, we stayed with you early in the season last year, but unfortunately you were fully booked for our 2 week holiday, starting 23/07/04, as we enjoyed your accommodation and hospitality so much we have found apartments not too far away and hope to spend as much time as we can at your apartments, hope the Octopus pool is still there. This is our fourth year in Roda and the third year at the Elizabeth Apartments and we must say they are the best we have known. Helen, Costas, Dmitri and family and not forgetting Nikos are the most friendly, helpful and efficient people we have met and we would not consider ever staying anywhere else in Roda. Nothing is too much trouble for them, facilities and location are excellent and we can't wait to go back again in June.

well what can you say about the elizabeth. we got lucky two years ago when our holiday was cancelled they offered us elizabeth apartments they did us a favour what a fantastic place your own little bit of paradise this will be out 3rd year we love it so much

Just back from a 2wk stay at the Elizabeth Apartments it was a thorouly enjoyable experience,studio was spacious and clean.
Staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Pool is excellent and again spotless with loads of sunbeds and parasols.
The pool bar is great with excellent service,with the singing duo Costas,behind the bar and Nicos on (walk about)!
Dimitri`s all day breakfast was just what the doctor orderd and very good value.
Thanks to Helen and her staff for the unobtrusive way the rooms were kept cleanand tidy.
No maids waking you up at the crack of dawn to do your room.
This was our 3rd visit to Roda and the Elizabeth has been the best yet,we have booked for next year..

Hi to all at the Kookabura, I know i probably spelt that wrong, I first went to Roda with my parents in 96 then again in 97 when Helen, Dimitri and Costa got the pool christened.We were back again in 99 then again in 01. Now im startin to miss the place again all thanxto my grandad as hes been back again this year and we were lookin through photo albums today. I have a holiday due in 2 weeks im just prayin theres a place at the elizabeth on late deals. Hope Elsa, Zoe, Thanasis, Demetri snr and Helen snr are doing well.Hoping to see you all soon. ....i've still got the holiday blues and it's been 3 months since we were at the Elizabeth Studios and Apts in May. Me and Colin could'nt have wished for a better holiday, all the gang made us feel very welcome, especially Colin's big chocolate cake for his birthday! all the comments on here are completely well deserved,you will not find a friendlier or more helpfull bunch of people.

We have not been to the Elizabeth Apts for two years and we are now suffering with withdrawal symptoms. This will be sorted in September when we get our fix for a great two weeks break with a lovely family. It will be our tenth visit to stay with Helen Dimitri and Costa See u soon

Having been to Corfu ten or more times, this is without doubt the best place to spend most or all of your holiday. They're pleased to see you whether you're staying on-site or not. The whole family are really friendly and welcoming, and have created just the most laid-back and relaxing atmosphere. Apartments are basic but very clean, the food is great and good value too. The pools brilliant and there's plenty of sunbeds. The bloke behind the bar is a bit dodgy - it'd be better if he changed from Panathinaikos to Chelsea - but we're working on him. (Not really - he's a diamond too)

Hi all at the Elizabeth! Mick and me stopped there from July 7th - 14th, and even though we have only been back a day we feel very glum to be back home! Helen, you will remember me as "getting kicked by the horse & being full of a cold!!" You were all so wonderful and i feel very sad to be back home! You made our stay wonderful and you and your family were so lovely to us, thank you for making my fisrt trip to Corfu so memorable and i can promise you that we will be bringing the children to see you next year, i promise! Just returned from 2 weeks with Helen and her family, and had agreat time.

All are so welcoming, helpful and supportive. We we very encouraged by their enthusiasm in our planned house hunt (in which we succeeded)

I made the comment 2 years ago that Elizabeth is probably as good as it gets. I was wrong - it is as good as it gets, not just in Roda, but in Corfu as far as we are concerned.

Absolutely brilliant holiday, Roda's location is great for Sidari, Acharavi, Kassiopi, Kalamaki beach (the best of all the Greek islands I have visited, and Elizabeth is just the icing on the cake, the cream on the cappucino, the honey on the baklava.

I have just arrived back from a fantastic holiday in Roda. Roda is a lovely quiet resort to visit and I have to say that the inhabitants make the British most welcome!

It was the most relaxing yet fun holiday I have ever had. The family who own the Elizabeth Studio Apartments (and not forgetting Nikos) go to every effort possible to make their guests welcome and this was proved to me by the numerous couples/families I met whilst there that have re-visited year after year. The accommodation is more than adequate, containing everything you need for a self catering holiday and it is very clean, tidy, spacious and obviously well looked after. The pool is fantastic it is cleaned regularly and has a cordoned off children’s area and a Jacuzzi which is switched on once occupied. The poolside Kookaburra Bar is equipped with its very own walkabout barman (Nikos) who is excellent at delivering refreshments directly to you at your sun lounger or for those more energetic amongst you that can make it to the bar you will be served by Costa who not only serves you food and drink but provides the bar with excellent tasteful music throughout the day and night. Breakfasts are also on offer at the Kookaburra for the early risers amongst you.

Overall I have to say that I would recommend the Elizabeth Studio Apartments for anyone wanting to stay in Roda and I will most definitely be visiting again myself shortly.

Hi, Helen Dimitri Costas & Nicos, We vistited the Elizabeth Apts 2nd May 2003,(Diane Rob Gary & Mark). We found the accomodation excellent,very clean and spacious, all the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.It was one of the best holidays we have had and we have recommended the apartments to all our friends and family. Hope to return later in the year and definetly next year.

Thanks for the comments Christine, it's good to hear everything is still really good. It was never a problem to empty our bin, usuualy dd so on the way out, and everything else was so good that any problems didn't really matter!! Just wanted to warn people to take bth towels, 'cos we bought towel there but beach towels don't dry you the same!!

The Elizabeth Apts are excellant first class condition We thoroughly enjoyed our third time at the Elizabeth Apts, with reference to previous comments now you do get bath towels, and its only a minutes walk to empty your own bin! The family are wonderful and put a great deal of time and effort into making your holiday special. We will see them again in September

we visited here in may 2001 and were returning this may.we cant wait it was great we loved it. the family who own the apts are ace very friendly and nice all the time. they do great food and a great english breakfast, we also loved the cocktails. i would say this is a perfect place to go to if u just wanna chill and have some fun.

My family and I recently stayed at the Elizabeth apartments in Corfu and it was mostly enjoyable but here are the bad points! 1/ The public were allowed access to the pool 2/ One toilet roll for two weeks 3/ No soap 4/ No shower curtain 5/ No kettle 6/ Wasn't cleaned adequately 7/ The sheets were changed once a week Other than these points our holiday was quite nice Carol Rocks

Nice relaxing accommodation with helpful people, in a quiet location. We visited in June/July 2001. Run by a Greek family with Australian background, this accommodation is probably as good as it gets in Roda. The pool is comfortable for children and adults, with grassed areas and gardens, lots of loungers and brollies, swings and see-saws. The bar is good for both food and drinks, including particularly good hot food (including steaks and Greek) and has satellite TV and Costas' sound system. Saturday night is BBQ night with staff leading Greek dancing. Accommodation is spacious in my experience, and all have either a sea or pool view. Within 3 minutes walk of a stony beach, and 5 mintes of the village(with its sandy beach) Elizabeth is in a great location, quiet, with little traffic noise, with a friendly family (Jimmy the grand-dad, Elizabeth the grandma,Helen,Dimitri and Costas behind the bar and in the kitchen, and three adorable children) and Nicos, who pulls everything together around the pool and at the BBQ night. The kids all adore him, and a few of the others do also!! The only adverse comments would be the lack of towels (take bath towels)and studio cleaning (bins weren't emptied every day, and the floor was not swept at all) Don't let this put you off what would be a great holiday however, in a great little town.
