Just back from two weeks in Elenitsa Studios. Although the cleaners were in every other day with clear sheets and towels, they could not make up for the cold, dark, damp apartments. The beds felt damp and also did your clothes. There are three blocks, depending on which one you are in, you could be in for a nice time, but the one I was in (Ground floor) was dreadfull. A few of the couples got moved upstairs after complaining, one couple refused to stay, they didn't even put the cases down while they looked around.
You could not sit on the balcony any time of the day as it never had any sun, so my partner and I sat on the stairs at the back. I was told by a local that these building get flooded every winter (two foot up the walls) and can take all summer to dry out.
I have been to Corfu seven times now and this is the first time I have been disapointed.I shall never book through Olympic again. I have lost two days off work, because I took ill with Bronchitis the last two days of my holiday!
I've just returned from the travel agent after booking the Elenitsa Studios, after looking at this web site I can see that the place is not getting a good review. I realise that there is no bar and pool, which I don't mind but what I am really concerned about is if the place is clean and generally what are the studios like? Can anyone help please.
we too have booked through olypia to go 27th june 2 weeks the brochure does not advertise bar or pool and the beach is only 5 mins away having been to roda in mayand stayed at ninos we only used their bar and pool once in 2 weeks preferred others
I am sorry to hear about your disopointment. I dont't know who you booked the Elenitsa with, but I have booked through Olympa. They dont advertise a bar and pool, just a basic apartment with balcony with inland views. For £200 per person for 2 weeks I thought very resonable. I fly out with my partner Friday 23rd May. This is our 7th holiday on Corfu, staying at diferent resorts every time and never been disapointed with our acomadation, yet. If you get stuck without a pool, visit Spiros and Vasaliki at the Corfu Star in Acharavi, 10 mins work along the beach from Roda, they will make you feel very welcome.
I FELT AS SICK AS A PIG, WHEN WE FOUND OUT EVENTUALLY THAT ELENITSA ALTHOUGH AS THE BROCHURE SAYS HAS `NICE` ROOMS. IN FACT THAT IS ALL IT HAS. IT HAS NO BAR, IT HAS NO POOL, IT DOESN`T EVEN HAVE A GARDEN. WE HAVE JUST HAD MAJOR STRESS TRYING TO AMEND OUR BOOKING - AT THE COST OF 200 POUNDS EXTRA AND ONLY AFTER THE (SINCERE ) THREAT OF TRADING STANDARDS INTERVENTION.(WE WILL DISCLOSE THE TRAVEL AGENT IF ASKED!) THIS IS POSTED SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE DON`T HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE`VE BEEN THROUGH!I HOPE THE LADY WITH THE FIRST ENTRY ISN`T LOOKING FOR WHAT WE EXPECTED AND THE BROCHURE IMPLIED - IT WOULD APPEAR SUCH `LOOKERS` WILL BE THOROUGHLY DISSAPOINTED - AND RIPPED OFF!
GOING TO ELINITSA APARTMENTS AT SHORT NOTICEIN 5 WEEKS - WHATS IT LIKE PLEASE (WE TRIED TO GET EXCELLENT VENUS APARTMENTS BUT NO LUCK THIS YEAR) WE GOT A GOO DEAL BUT ARE STILL NOT SURE IF HAS A POOL OR NOT. WE ARE HOPING FOR A `QUIET` TIME CAN SOMEONE TELL US PLEASE. I WILL REPORT ON RETURN HERE.
I am coming here in May but i would like to find out where it is exactly.
