Amorosa Apartments

Accommodation in Roda

Mandy W

My husband and I are going to Amorosa Apartments on Monday 6th September. We went to Roda a couple of years ago and stayed in Hotel Aphrodite which was brilliant - hello to Arula and Spiros! The only problem was about 5.30am when the nightclubs emptied and the road outside was like Silverstone for about an hour with scooters and cars, then the binmen arrived. We do like to have a good kip when we go to bed although we don't mind having a tipple ourselves. I have heard that some rooms are in a noisy location - please advise on best spot for a good kip! Thanks Mandy and Alan

My husband and I are going to Armorosa on Monday 6 September 2004. Can anyone give us details about location, i.e. is it near the beach, is it at the Acharavi end of Roda? Don;t want to be too near the bar at night - is it noisy? We do enjoy a tipple or two but when we go to bed we don't like it too noisy. Last time we went to Roda we stayed at the Aphrodite Hotel which was great until 5.30am when everyone came out of the nightclub then it was like Silverstone with all the bikes and cars racing past the hotel for about an hour, then the bin men arrived. I hope it won't be like that!

My husband Stuart and I have been to Amorosa Apartments, for the last couple of years, and this year we are returning, to our favourite holiday destination, the staff are all great, helpful and entertaining, they make everyone feel welcome, Adonis makes me laugh when he sings karioki (I think thats how it spells) and mispronounces the words, he's great fun! we have on our last two visits been located at the end apartments which is very quiet, we are really looking forward to June when we shall return...all and all its the tops!

The bar staff are fantastic. We made friends with Adonis (guy behind bar). Andreas, Natalie and Adonis will all make you feel welcome and happy. 'Valentines' down the road serves the best food you can buy and 'Vamos' has extremely friendly waiters especially Pedros. The people in Corfu are the friendliest on earth (except Sidari, the pocket of evil). The pool was great, no fighting to get in it and was kept extremely well (cleaned every night etc) by Andreas and the team. This is probably the best set of apartments in the area (maybe even Corfu). The only thing I would say is the apartments nearer the bar (V.Noisy) but you may get used to it or even like it?!? Apart from that, full marks

The best thing about the resort was Adonis the bartender he was great and very good looking. If you just want to sit round the pool and have a drink at night then this resort is ok.If not i sugest you go to TOP BIKES in Roda he is very helpfull and hire a moped, we had one for 2 weeks and saw all of the island.MAGGIES BAR is great for breakfast and VALENTINES in Acharavi is good on an evening.
