i came back from Kavos on Saturday and im gutted to be back.. we stayed at the sunrise from 1st aug to 16th 2008 and had an amazin holiday. for a 2* apartment and the price we payed, it was def more than expected. we stayed in room 24 which had 2 large rooms and a view over the pool and sea. the staff weren't as friendly as people had made out which was dissapointing however the pool was clean and quiet. be aware tho everything seems to be extra when u get there and prices at the bar arent that cheap..sunbeds are 1 euro daily, aircon is 120 euros for 2 weeks for 2 rooms or 6 euros a day yet they ask you to turn it off during the day. taxi is 7 euros to the centre which adds up but is worth it because it takes 45 mins to walk it! towels and sheets changed once a week..and for those people who like to lie in the maid will wake up and tell u to move!hehe the hotel does suit families but kavos itself doesnt. its very much a young n lively place with cheap booze..its cheaper to get drinks in the centre as they do deals whereas in the bar at sunrise its 3 euros per drink and more. definatly worth visiting if your lookin to get drunk at night n sunbathe during the day. best bars are NET bar, players lounge, buzz, rockys, SNOBS, JC's and legends is the best for startin off. future and atlantis r worth going to but are expensive for drinks so get drunk before!! will be going back next year
Sunrise Apartments are so good. Please read this review as i did the exact thing as your doing now b4 visiting sunrise
what a wild holiday! had a good laugh at sunrise and met loads of cool people.
every1 thought we was gay but thats life you take the rough we the smooth!
sunrise is a nice place its quite but still not to far away from the action
To all those lucky people who met me
Hiiyaa
got back last week travelled iv travelled all over an iv never stayed in such a friendly place the staff were great if a little strange (just kiddin) the pool was fantastic really clean the rooms were clean an tidy its worth paying for the air con for a good nights sleep an it was nice an peace full during the day cant wait to go back its well known in kavos for been so friendly an relaxed so i would certainly recommend it if your thinking about it an the cocktails are certainly worth trying out all in all it was a great holiday an every one i spoke to there said the same it was a pleasure to be there !!!
What a wonderful place to spend your holiday, the staff are great, friendly, helpful, they will go out of their way to make your time there fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. If you want a card reading done Tracey is fabulous Lynn, Ann,Dimitri, and Rocky are all equally as wonderful. We went early May and Kavos was very quiet but would imagine it to be a very lively resort in high season, but the Sunrise offers a quiet retreat but still plenty of laughs and hospitality. The rooms are very clean and substantial, the maid cleans them and provides clean linen every day. The pool is one of the best I have ever seen anywhere in Europe. Yes if you are looking for a first class, value for money holiday, then I would recommend the SUNRISE APARTMENTS to anyone.

We arrived at Sunrise in Cavos, warly May and stayed for a week. And what can I say?! What a wanderful surprise. Sunrise is absolutely lovely. The apartment was clean and much better than we expected. The pool was gorgeous, the food was very reasonabely priced, the staff definitely made it though. They are so helpful, Anne, Lynn, Tracey, everyone was so lovely.
My and my friend have just got back from Kavos.
Sunrise apartments are the best! The people there are the friendliest Ive met, Lynne, Tracey, Dimitri and Ann. When you arrive the rooms are usually ready for you, if not then take a stoll into the bar and have a Woo Woo (cranberry juice, vodka coctail) and chill by the pool. Its more like a small community rather then an Apartment block, the people that were there when we were are all amazing!! The food is excellent, Tracey cooks with her heart and you can really tell! Also if you want a peek at what your future holds she is a very (very) accurate tarot reader. Dimitri if the funiest man alive! And Lynne is a sweetheart who will look after you. The apartments are a 25 minute walk on the roads to Kavos or a 5 minute walk on the beach, its far enough out that there is hardly any noise which makes it great for families and couples. Its also close enough to the nightlife for folk of all ages. If you fancy a real traditional Greek meal though take a half hour walk into Lefkimmie (spelt wrong).I would give this place 15 out of 10 and recommend it to anyone and everyone...its safe, clean, friendly, compact, and easy to travel to and from!!
I stayed at Sunrise in May 2005 and had a great time. Lynne, Costas and George are all ace! They're really helpful and friendly. The apartments are situated about 20 mins walk from Kavos centre and there isn't a path all the way so not really good to walk in the dark but fine in daylight. There's a strip of bars and restaurants about 10 mins away from the apartments, Michaels is the best we ate there every night but 2 and we were there for 2 weeks so says it all really! The apartments are really clean and tidy, the maids came 12 out of the 14 days, you will need to buy your own toilet roll as they only supply you with one and the towels are tiny so you should take your own. All the reps were really nice especially the 2 darrens. It is quite a relaxed and quiet complex so probably not the best place to go if you want to be amongst all the action but was ideal for us so we could relax during the day but you were only a 5 min taxi drive (6euros) away from the night life so could easily go out on the night. Food was really cheap and drink was pretty reasonable depending on what you had (local spirits were cheaper). Whilst we there young and old were staying and everyone had a really good time. So the people made our holiday aswell as the place but i would definately consider going back and have recommended this place already! Hope you have a nice holiday 2!
Have just had a fantastic holiday at Sunrise. The staff were excellent, friendly and informative. Our apartments were cleaned daily and spotlessly clean and damp free. Costas and George are a duo not to be missed! We had a hire car for the two weeks, and unless you are a major party animal we'd recommend you do the same. The resort of Kavos is very lively, lots of 18-30 holiday makers, anyone over 30 may suddenly feel a lot older! There are some beautiful beaches about a 15 minute drive away from Sunrise and if you're feeling brave we'd advise you to take a trip into the mountains. There are some Taverna's hidden away in the mountains and we felt the amazing panaramic views and authentic Greek dishes were well worth the drive. The scuba driving trip arranged by our Rep, Gemma, was very good value for money. We'd recommend everbody to try it just the once. Thanks to everybody involved in making our holiday one of the best.
im not sure weather theses r the same appartments i stayed in but mine were fantastic the staff were lovly kosta george and lyn and i had lodes of fun!the pool was great we were just by the beach it was realy nice i am only 12 but am planning to go back with my friends when im a bit older because it was so lovely a nice break away from rainy newcastle anyways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jenniferxxstayed in number 13
Stayed at the Sunrise Apartments last August. It was great. Apartments were cleaned nearly everyday or so and the bed linen was changed at least once a week. The staff are friendly. THe food was really nice. The shop at the end of the road was great value for money. The pool was wkd. It was really great i'd def go again.
Just returned from sunrise apartments 6 days ago, ours was very damp including the beds( room 26) not very clean, human hairs in the bed (not ours) and loads of cobwebs around the lights but the complex especially the pool area was lovely and the food was fresh and well cooked. Location was good very quiet, but don,t believe people when they it is only a 20 min walk into Kavos coz it took us at least 35mins unless we rushed. Bus service is not up to much so you need to rely on taxi,s (6 euros each way).
myself and my partner are going to the sunrise apartments in july 05 and were just wondering if anyone could help with a few things. reading some reviews it sounds a bad place is it? Is there lots to do in the area? how long does it take to walk to kavos, are there shops along the road?
Hi there! Just got back from Corfu today. Me and my sister, Emma satyed 4nights at the Sunrise Apartments- we didn't get off to a great start as we were locked out of our room at 4.00am!! I was shocked by the huge amount of moschitos! However, the following day we bought a moschitio repelant and plugged it in the wall- worked a trick! :) but we got bit when clubbing in the night. The nightlife in Kavos is absolutley amazing!! Especially for young people like us who are there for the sun and the partying! We celebrated my sister's birthday- got very drunk...and had a hangover, but it was worth it- drinks are good value, esp. when buying a few, you get discounts etc in most bars/clubs. Music that they play is great- all stuff in the charts- R&B, pop, dance mucis etc. Sunrise apartments include basic rooms but a lovely pool and sunbeds surrounding it- with places to lie and get a great tan, and places to relax in the shade when the heat gets too high- it was 30-40degrees when we were there! The staff are all great too- especially sexy SPIROS!!! who was friendly, charming and just Gorgeous!! I'm sure I will be returning again- I recommend Sunrise Apartments to young lively people, because the nightlife is great and only a short taxi ride away, and you're not in the centre of the action so its great for families and children too. It suits everyone's needs :)
I went here for two weeks in August 2002. it was brilliant, would definitely go again
Had two weeks at the Sunrise apartments (10-24 May 2004) and had a fab hol. Our two kids (ages 12 & 3) thought the pool at the Sunrise was great fun. Apartment was spotless and cleaned every day. Poolside bar well stocked, food good, staff wonderful. Shop beside complex very good value and very friendly. Far enough away from Kavos for it to cause any noise problems. Recommend a ferry trip from Lefkimi port (a short walk away)across to Mainland Greece. A visit to Aqualand is a must. Enjoy your jollies peeps.
After spending 7Days at The Sun Rise Appartment both my Wife & Myself found It very Pleasent & Clean and would Definetly Return to them. Pleasent Staff with a very clean Pool with access to the beach at the rear. Within walking distance to Kavos both along the Beach & via the Road the Beach being the Quickest although still a good 40 to 50 minutes walk but a pleasent one.Access to a Shop is Just on the main road which could really be called part of the complex Its that close the best of both worlds really a quiet Night In If you want or a walk into the main part of Kavos for a lively Night.
I am travelling with my family next July and staying at Sunrise Apartments Kavos we would like to know if it is worth coming and if there are any bars local supermarket and plenty to do for the kids. We would also like to know if it is clean and quiet like stated in the brochure.
In addition to comments made on the 12th August 2003.
My family i.e. husband and two daughters have all been placed on antibiotics with ear infections due to swimming in the pool at the sunrise(only location all had swam in). My husbands ear infection has been so sever that he has had two lots of antibiotics to try to clear up the infection. I was the lucky one with no ear infection but that may have been due to the fact that i never swam much in the pool as my eyes would smart as soon as i entered the pool.
So definately a holiday to remember!!!!!
