i need a map of the street in kavos which contains playland and the famous pub
Just got back from having stayed for a week in the Sotiria Studios. Location wise they are just about bang on, 10 minutes walk or so out of the town centre.
They are very basic, but I don't think the majority of the accomodation there is anything but. I shared with a mate, the studios have a separate shower and toilet, 'kitchenette', two beds (not too uncomfortable) and a balcony. You've got a sea view and are around 50 metres from the beach. A cleaner comes round every other day so expect a knock on your door every so often at some ridiculous hour in the morning (i.e. about 11am!). You've got lockable shutters and also a glass pateo door that locks. If you do take this security measure though like we did be prepared for your room being like a sauna when you get back from a night out! Better that though than having anything nicked! Would also recommend you invest in a mosquito plug.
The studios don't have their own pool, but there is one you can use literally 1 minute up the road at the Olympic holiday apartments. Opposite the pool there is a go-kart track, I personally didn't bother but it looked quite popular. There is a mini-supermarket straight across the road from the apartments (tip - buy an absolute load of bottled water when you first get there and sling it in the fridge) plus there is a restaurant (TJ's) virtually right outside. Had a couple of very good meals in there and would recommend it (3 courses for 10 Euros). Otherwise there are plenty of places in Kavos centre to eat, including KFC, McDonald's and Pizza Hut if thats what you're after.
As for your passport etc., I'd suggest taking advantage of one of the free safety deposit boxes in the town (there are plenty available). Just make sure you don't do what we did, stick some of our cash in there as well, rely on using it for a big night out then realise the place was closed! Cue emergency visit with Visa card to cash machine! I'm sure you'll pick up on all the reviews on this site for where to go in the evenings, but personally I found Rocky's bar to be OK, very busy with lots of decent people and as for clubs, Atlantis and Limelight were good for chilling out late on.
You can also watch the latest films in loads of bars through the day (good for passing the time), otherwise there are the various trips your rep will try to sell you (didn't go but got told Aqualand is a good day out plus the cruise to the 'Blue Lagoon'). Transfer time from Corfu airport is around an hour/hour and a half. Unfortunately the roads to Kavos are mainly like country lanes!
Hope all this helps!
its a s**t place 2 shop!theres no shoppin places there really!
Well it helps to the point that i think you've quoted the brochure!
I'm after the real life experience.
Thanks anyway.
Sotiria studios are situated between Kavos and St Peters. It is approximately 15 minutes walk into the centre of Kavos. It is situated behind a restaurant. There is a mini-market approximately 20m away. The beach is only 80m away. All other amenities such as bars/restaurants/ tavernas are to be found in Kavos centre.
All rooms have private shower/WC, Greek style kitchenette.
Here I hope this extract helps!
Try again
