kavos was brilliant tho!

kavos was absolutely amazing and we are going back next year coz we loved it so much! ionian sea view apartments were much nicer than we expected but please bear in mind that we are 3 17 year old p**s heads who would have slept in a bin if we had to! we were told that these apartments were the nicest in kavos which was prolly true as they were well looked after! the staff were all pretty friendly. theres a woman on reception with a muzzy, shes hard to take at first but shes alrite really!

hotel was nice but they are the biggest bunch of money grabbers i have ever met.phiones are v expensive you cant eat your own food anywhere in the hotel appart from your room even if u brought it on the on site supermarket. this is definately not a place for children and families as at about 4 in the morn there is a rush of roudy p*ss heads returning from the bars there is no entertainment at all apart from a few films being played maids are ok but sheets only got changed once the whole 2 weeks. pool was lovely and leads straight into sea and watersports. reps kerry and chris are really nice even if the do push u to buy trips u dnt really want.hotel is far enough away from main strip to be peaceful (ish) and not too far away to walk however at night walk is v dark DO NOT WALK ALONE.overall we liked the hotel but would not return v good for the money we paid though.

Hi phil. apparently they are only 15 minutes walk from the town centre. but some bars and clubs are closer. I know that there is a supermarket that is 2 minutes walk away, which ppl hav recommended coz the one at ionian sea view is a bit of a rip off.

Hi Angela, me and 11 of my m8s from essex are also staying at the ionian view appartments, we have heard good reports so far from m8s we know that have been there, however everyone mentions the smell, apparently its quite bad.we will prob see you lot there, we fly out on the 11th july and are stayin till 25th.we got well gd deal, 219 quid each, how much u lot pay?

went to kavos during july 2004 and for a group of teenagers this place is amazing! all the bad comments i have read are either not THAT big a deal or are from folk with kids - its not for families or quiet time! food was amazing and good value (3 course meal + drink was 13/14 euros) the rooms werent amazing but they were definatlkey livable and the layout of the grounds is like a lovely little community. great view and access to the sea for late nite dipping when the pools shut! pool was lovely and clean, pleanty sun beds, good music played. rep claire was lovely and a great laugh on nights out, ive gheard she was useless on solving problems. we didnt have any so sorry i wouldnt know. heatwave package was amazing...aqualand is great, booze cruise was good (if u like wine/beer - otherwise id avise u pack ur own drink and stinge on the free pepsi :D) and the pub crawls r not to be missed! headf*cker cocktails were 5 euros and im tellin u they r amazin for a cheap nite out! free bar in a nite club was fun also! if ur young and want a holiday to remember...go here the resorts amazin and so is the place (ie. gr8 *24 HOUR PIZZAS* - amazin for 5am drunken munchies! lovely staff lovely place!)

Rooms were cleaned occasionally and towels and sheets were hardly ever changed. Nothing to do entertainment-wise and the rep (Claire) was incredibly unhelpful. Found ourselves wandering round Kavos on a night watching movies in bars etc with the kids coz there was just nothing to do. Went to Aqualand for two days, which was really good, but other trips were dead boring. Beaches were crap and the stench was unbearable at times. Wouldn't go back.

Came back this morning form Ionian Sea View. We booked 3 seperate rooms they were all as far apart as they could be. 1 room flooded 3 times, all they offered was a mop and bucket. Sheets and towels never changed. Rep (Claire) Well stroppy, does not like dealing with guests issues. Pool not heated. No entertainment. No air conditioning. 1 apartment was filthy dirty.

If thinking of going to Kavos I would recommend but do not stay at the Ionion Sea View.

WE HAD GRET TIME APART FROM WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE REPS BEING SO UNHELPFUL, THEY GOT YOUR YOUR MONEY THEN WERENT INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU SAID OR DID UNLESS YOU RUN RIOT THROUGH THE PLACE WHICH I MUST SAY A COUPLE OF FOLK DID,AND THEN ON THE WAY HOME THEY ABANDONED US AT THE AIRPORT.
OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS GREAT THE BARS WERE GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS BEAUTIFUL WE MOSTLY ATE AT THE VENUS ALTHOUGH I CAN SAY UNCLE HARRYS AND THE FOOD AT THE IONIAN WAS GOOD, THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND DELIGHTFUL THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS THE CLEANERS CAN BE FORGETFUL ABOUT CHANGING TOWELS AND BEDS BUT YOU JUST ASK AT THE RECEPTION FOR IT TO BE DONE AND IT IS THE NEXT DAY, THE VIEWS FROM THE ROOMS WERE SPECTACULAR AND THE ONLY THING I COULD FAULT WITH THE POOL AREA WAS THE RANGE OF MUSIC THAT WAS PLAYED, OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD GO BACK DEFO.

JUST BACK FROM IONIAN AND I COULDNT FAULT IT APART FROM BEDS AND TOWELS NOT BEING CHANGED BUT WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS DID ANYONE ELSE THINK THE REPS WERE LESS THAN DESIRABLE AND SO GOD DAM UNHELPFUL

just got back from a great holiday at ionian sea view the rooms were spaceish and were cleaned bout 2-3 times a week the staff wre all friendly except 1 of the reps who was really snotty(neil) the pool is mainly for people who are just wanting to chill out as there are no entertainment during the day times but if u wre looking for pool games and stuff the hotel across from you is lively all day and nite long the beach wasnt to bad it was right out side the hotels door but if your wanting a nice part of the beach you need to walk bout 10 mins just to get a way from the smell and seaweed gettin to town took bout 15 mins but worth it the bars are loud and lively and every 1 just havin a good time. most nite me an my sister would go eat at the lay by the food was great and the drinks were cheap and got u pissed especilly the (garafs)the people who worked there were funny and very friendly to me and my sister. if i was to recomend the ionian i would say its a great place to stay and i wouldnt hessitate to return xxxxxxx

jus got back from 2 weeks in kavos an had the best time ever. the apartments were ok not as bad as i thought they were gune be.it had a lovely view of the sea. it was only a 15 min walk in2 town which wasnt 2 bad, taxi cost bout 6 euro. on the way 2 town we always used to go the lay by. we used to hav a laugh there an the drinks were dead chaep. i would defo go 2 kavos again. an the day trip 2 aqualand was well worth it.

We just got back from our holiday and loved every minute of it, although the apartment wasn't fantastic it was good enough to stay in for a week and the views from the balcony are amazing. The pool area is great, they serve food and drink all day (including a full english breakfast!)and we didnt have to fight over sunbeds! We recommend that you wander down to the sea it is beautifully clear(once you get past the rocky bit). The apartments location is great because it's just far enough away from the rowdy nightlife but not too far if you want to stroll down for a meal. The best place we ate at was the steakhouse
the food is wounderful and the staff are really friendly.The only downside of the ionian sea view was that there wasn't any evening entertainment,but next door at the Corfu Sea Gardens they had something going on every night, which anyone can go to, so it's not really a problem.In our opinion If you don't mind basic accomodation,and being woken up at 4am by drunk people staggering back from the clubs after a heavy night boozing then this is a good place to stay!

Hi, I went to stay at the Ionian a couple of years ago when it first opened, I can honestly say it was the best holiday I had ever been on. When the coach pulled up we thought the Rep, who we'd been sharing a joke or two with on the way, was joking - they were beautiful!! Marble flooring and quite a glam reception lead to a L shape of fab apartments which were all immaculate and with a gorgeous view of the sea. We found that next to the pool area, which in the day has quite a few people using it, is a little ledge which we used to sunbathe on and nobody else used it - it had steps down into the sea for a swim and we didn't even go to the beach once in the whole time we were there! It was May we went in and the weather was red hot apart from one thunder storm on the Thursday night when the patio door started leaking and we ran down to reception screaming!! :-) The staff there soon came and sorted it out and we really friendly and helpful, as 3 girls on our own we felt really safe and met some fab people. It was a good trek into Kavos town (about 15 minutes) and dont be put off by the darkness of the lane as you see quite a few people about walking up and down it. We only caught a taxi once as the walk was the highlight of our night - we used to stop at The Lay By (is it still open?) which is in the middle of the lane and spend about 2 hours rooting through his CD collection and getting drunk on ridculously low prices. Put it this way, we arrived on the Monday for a week and by the Friday I had only spent £90 pound which included getting wrecked every night, food, fags and presents. Sorry to drone on but I thought someone might appreciate this info.... I went to the local shop and hadn't took enough money with me, I'd filled up a basket full of food before realising and was astonished when the lady simply asked where I was staying and gave me a piece of paper with the price on for me to drop the money in afterwards - she wouldn't even take the money I had in my purse! Only one tip, dont use the phone in reception to ring home, it's really expensive. There's one just by the hotel at the shop and it's much cheaper, you might not also be able to get through at tea time as the line's are so busy. If your going to Kavos you'll have a great holiday, watch out for the sex deprived men who work in the bars but ALWAYS take the free shots of alcohol they give you.... and when you've finished your drink wait five minutes before getting a new one, the longer you leave it the more shots they give you to get you to stay in there!!! Have a fab holiday xxx

my two friends took £500 and both run out of money, i took £700 and had about £100 left. so about £600 is enough.

The appartments are in a very good location about 10-15 minutes walk from the town so it was fairly quiet. All the staff are friendly especially the reps. if you need any help, the reps will gladly help. the pool area is very nice and there is a poolside bar where you can get a full english breakfast in the mornings for a good price. there is also a bar about 5-10 minutes walk which serves very nice food. DONT HAVE A CHINESE it made me and my friends ill. but other than that the holiday was brilliant, the best one iv been on! The only problem is that our beds only gotchanged once a week which wasn't very good. we had no problems with the cleaning staff as we have on previous holiday which was good but its still best o keep valuables lockin in the safes the provide which are in reception. Kavos is a great great for the young and lively!!! there is also watersports on the beach by the hotel. Kavos beech itself is not very nice but the beach by Ionian view appartments is nice. If you have a group of 5 people you can also do cliff diving with the man who owns the watersports.

P.S the barstaff in the Show bar are FIT!!!

We have just returned from a stay here... The people were friendly and the apartments were clean. However make sure you get a linen change twice a week as they like to swindle it down to once a week! The pool was nice,also the sea was lovely. The walk to Kavos was bout 10-15min but we got cabs most nights to save our feet, they cost between 5-8E. It is cheaper to use a payphone rather than the one in reception. Would probably return here the location was great away from the smell and noise.

oh yeah full eng breakie almost evety where 2.80e, three coures meals 8.50e, 6 large bottles of water 2e coctails 5e (b.o.g.o.f) bottles of smirnoff ice,breezer etc in bars 6e!

jus came back two days ago, lovely clean appartments being in aspro kavos we thought wed be way out which we werent 2mins away from a small supamarket and 5mins from the first bar -jazz and twins!(the pr's will offer more freebies if u bribe them one nite i managed 3 4 1 cocktails and free (cheap obvisously) champange!
pool bar was great,clean, friendly, open till 1- late nite swims but a treck up the stairs!!
This end of kavos has no smell,(Loud) noise, nice restaurants (eves garden + steak house) and the clean end of the beach( take the turing 4 the cash machine and bonkers!
We wore heels every nite and it never killed us walking to the main centre of the strip(this is just the major bars clubs, theres bars every where not just here!)

appartments are greatly located!would love to go back there!

tip:if with olympic on the bar crwl u pay 25e get free food a limelight and a free shot at bout 7 bars u go to but have to buy ALL your own drinks!follow the guys round but dont pay and still get all the fun!go on the all day booze cruise 2 the blue lagoon well worth it!!

Just got back from the Ionian View in Kavos.
Apartments were lovley. Rooms were basic but modern and clean. swimming pool area was spacious and with loads of sunloungers.
Bar\resturant at swimming pool served food from 9am to 7pm and was reasonably priced.
Some entertainment in evening and day, usually pool volleyball or quiz nights etc.
Was a bit out of town but that was good for us. Left the smell and noise of the town behind!!! could walk into town in about 20 mins of a cab was about 5 euros.

i am going to kavos in 4 weeks and i need to know what the ionian sea view apartments are like, because ive not seen some good reports.
