After reading the comments about Katerina studios me and my friends were put off going, because we had read some pritty bad reviews of the place. However on arrival we found that the studios were great. Very basic, but when your in Kavos you don't spend much time in your room anyways. It was also a bit of a walk to town, only 15 mins though, and we found this a good thing because we didnt have the noise of the main strip when we were going to sleep.
Bill the owner was a top bloke, always there to help if something went wrong in our rooms, and was generally a nice bloke when you saw him around the pool. The swimming pool was great too, and had good music being played and the bar being fairly cheap! The resturant next door was very nice too!
Overall i loved my holiday in Kaovs, had an emense time and would stay in Katerina studios if i go again!

I have only just got back from the Katerina Appartments today, I have had a top weeks holiday with my lovely wife, I am 29 and my wife is 31, the town centre KAVOS is around a ten mins walk, but you have the joy of having a lie in as its not to noisey around the appartments. A nice swimming pool and a cracking owner, the owner is called Bill, and if you take the time to talk with him, he is a very friendly and funny local, who has spent over 20 years in Canada. I enjoyed my holiday and so did my wife, the centre of KAVOS is not up to much as for the bulidings etc, but Corfu town is lovely. Night life is banging in KAVOS, and there is lots to do, your holiday is as good as you make it, if you mong around and moan then you will have a poor time, if you enjoy and grasp your break then it will be great. The only problem with this holiday is the terrible flying times, arriving in the early hours of the morning is terrible, it takes 2days before you are ready to start your holiday. Anyway I have said enough, mind Bill is a top lad, and he gives you free beer if you buy enough, good music and a fantastic pool, the rooms are basic, but who cares, we only use them to get our heads down. "you get what you pay for"
Enjoy your holidays " British Airborne"

MY BOYFRIEND AND HIS MATES WENT TO THESE APARTMENTS AT THE END OF JUNE AND ALL THEIR MONEY WAS STOLEN OUT OF THEIR ROOM ON THE SECOND NIGHT. EVERYTHING WAS LOCKED STILL WHEN THEY CAME BACK TO THE ROOM, SO ALL IM SAYING IS I WOULDNT TRUST THE PPL THAT WORK HERE... THE MANAGER WASNT INTERESTED AND ADVISED THEM NOT TO TELL THE POLICE AS THEY WOULD DO THEM FOR WASTING POLICE TIME!!!!!! |

I spent 2 weeks at the Katerina Studios with 5 mates and the owner, Nick, tried his best to ruin our holiday. He tried to charge us 50 euros for 'broken glasses' when we hadn't even used them, never mind broken them. If you are going to this hotel I would strongly advise you to avoid Nick and his father at all costs. He tried on several occasions to come up with charges like this one, and tried to turn the other guests against us. According to our rep he just doesn't like groups of lads on holiday. Apart from the staff, the hotel is okay, but still a good 20 minute walk from Kavos. For a couple or a family looking for a relaxing holiday this holiday would be suitable, but for anyone else I would suggest looking elsewhere.

| We are just back from Kavos and it was the worst holiday either of us have ever been on. Our room in the Katerina apartments was broken into on our first night there!! Whoever broke in, managed to break in through the front window, our room was on the second floor so whoever it was managed to jump out the back window onto the porch below. everything was stolen, cash, passporsts, mobile phones, even some clothes. The rep was useless as were the owners of the place and the police. The Katerina does not offer safety deposit boxes so if you are planning on going there i would seriously advise you not too.We just arrived home on the 31st July after having to sort out an emergency passport which costs 80 euros each.We are still waiting to hear back from our insurance company and im in the middle of writing a strongly worded letter of complaint to our tour operators, Libra Holidays. If anyone wants any advice email shelle1209@hotmail.co.uk. | ||||||||||

10/6/06 To keep it as brief as pos, Katerina, st peters, Kavos, Libra holidays, 15mins walk to town. The reps are useless and the apartments are very dirty, they will only change the towels and beding once unless you 'tip' the owner. 1 loo roll, to many incects (really bad), the bedding wasnt even fresh for us (some realy bad stains) the pool is ok but not much sunbathing area. Try the Captains apartments instead, its 50m closer to the center same price, bigger pool very clean and no bugs!!!. We flew in the early hours of the morning and were made to leave at Katerina at 12 noon. you can stay for a extra 8 hours for 20 euro or (as we did) try the captains apartment for 20 euro all day and night.

I don't know what has happened here in previous years but I have not long been back from 2 weeks holiday staying at Katerina and it could not have been any nicer! Yes it is pretty basic, but it is clean and well maintained.
Its about 15 mins outside of the main strip but that was really good as we had the best of both worlds - we could be quiet when we wanted and more hectic when we got into Kavos at night.
The swimming pool was lovely, pretty quiet as there are only 13 rooms I think at Katerina.
Bill, the owner, could not have been more welcoming, helpful or friendly. We chose our own music for around the pool, he let us watch BBC Prime at the bar and gave us free beer. You can't ask for much more than that!
All in all we had a fab holiday and the Katerina Apartments were above average!

About a year ago me and two of my friends went to stop at the KATERINA STUDIOS in the centre of kavos. The apartment was not up too a great deal very basic. On the last night of our holiday we went out for a few drinks, upon arival back to the apartment we found the door was open and all our suitcases and everything else had been STOLEN. Our tour operator was GOLDEN SUN and we found them very unhelpful, they did not do anything towards helping us after our belongings had gone missing. Also be warned about the school next door the kids are quite noisy in the morning.
