we have just returned and while there booked a car through value plus. Excellant service from Yannis. We also discovered that they will deliver a car to the airport. As we are planning to return next year we will book one on the internet because the journey to Sidari to our apartments took so long going to Kassiopi, Acharavi, Roda etc first. We also discovered we can book apartments dircet as well so we will cut out the travel agent and book direct. We also discovered having book 2 trips with our travel agent that the same trips booked direct at value plus were so much cheaper than through the reps. I know who I will be giong back to!!!!!!!

my friend and I stayed here in May found it to be excellant. Clean friendly and the food in the bar very good - breakfast well cooked and very enjoyable!!!

There is obviously more than one Nikos apartements we have just come back having booked privately ( much cheaper than a travel agent) I would recommend these apartments 100% Just go on the interent and book a flight and e mail yiannis@ysmasterpieces.com for availability - clean, big and quiet!!!!!

we have just come back fro Sidari and went to this resturant serval times due to the food being so varied and so good. Choice very good food, whatever you order fantastic. Servicew slow!!! Its not McDonalds!!!!!!! Give it a visit - you will not be dissapointed - but be patient!

went on beach bbq arranged by value plus in sidari - coach trip to harbour in paleo and then boat to secluded beach - only accesible by baot! Fabulous trip and great food, good value for money, can recommend, very good value!!!

went to aqualand through value plus in sidari (do trips and car hire) worked out cheaper through them on the coach than through travel agent or indeed if you made own way. Coach trip and entrance only 19 euros for adult and 13 euros for child - small child free!!! Great day out!

went with husband son and grandson - menu suited all, service was not fast but hey this is not fast food. When it arrived excellant quality, taste etc. Give it a try steak fantastic!

again visted napoleons - great service - good price - we only use it for snacks - but great snacks. Cannot comment on evening meals- great service and such friendly service - give it a try!

we came back on Friday - first time in Corfu, we went with friends who have been many times. They recommended value plus to us for the car rental but because our budget was limited we toured the strip getting prices etc. We had to admit to our friends thry were right because we did not find a better deal and in fact wasted half a day when we could have been in the sunshine!!!! Went to Sidari for a week stumbled upon value plus because we were staying almost oppersite the shop had a car for 3 days and went to aqualand and beach bbq - great value - great service - Sophie and Yannis very helpful

went again rgis holiday booked through value-plus. Great place, good price. No BBQ but the price reflects this and when you first arrive you will find a small cafe and the food is great - and cheap!!!! Dont go at the beginning of your holiday use it to top up the tan when you are already quite brown - you will then go ebony!!

what can I say - I do not want to eat bad fast food in Greece - if I wanted MacDonalds I would have stayed at home! If you really want a burger try the Texas bar in Sidari or Goodys in Corfu Town - far nicer.

it is smaller than aqualand bot easier to keep on eye on the children if they are small, went with the grandchildren and had a great time. As stated easier to relax - although we enjoyed aqualand we were constanly on edge - here we relqaxed as well

have been to sidari before with my parents, have just returned having been on my own and used Sophie and Yannis ( Value plus)to hire a care and also go on trips - great value, great service - crazy couple!!! highly recommended.

This year it was approx 20 euros for a taxi from the airport to Sidari. May be a little more next year

regarding the othonos apartments we stayed there 3 years ago and although the tiles on the bathroom walls were dated the space was large and very clean. We go to sidari every year for twice and where ever we stay we always use the pool at the othonas apartments because we find the family that run it to be very friendly - helpful - and honest!!!! They do though get annoyed with people that dont follow basic rules of behaviour!!!!! quite rightly when they have to supply an environment to suit families, singles and older people. Great place - thoroughly recommend Tele (barman) and dimitria (mum) great people

They are in a quiet road near the Beach Star Hotel and do no have links with a travel agent they have to be booked privately (see the previous posting for e mail address) Lovely couple live on site. We went there in June - just opened and were minus doors!!!!! food excellant great choices - very varied menu. Not keen on red wine being served from the fridge!!!!! Went back in Oct - now they have doors had to sit outside and wait for a table because it was full - greeks as well as holiday makers, good sign!!! The lamb chops are to die for and the pizza's are very good but red wine still cold!!!! You have got to try this restaurant it is sooooo good!!!!!

have to say I dont understand the negative comments we have been coming to Sidari since 1996 - staying that time just a short walk from salt and pepper and ate most of our meal there - which were great. Have been since twice a year and still use this resturant - have never been dissapointed - huge breakfast - Give it a try!!!!!!!

when we went in May we knew it was just opened so were willing for hic cups. Waited ages huge portions but bland and not nice to eat!!!! Service really poor. Hand helds taking the orders waitors kept coming back to check they had it right! Went again in June still poor service but food disgusting again huge portions but did not want to eat it!!!! Followed by huge bill!!!!The Margaretia's are awful! Dont even think about it. If you like Mexican take a trip to Kassiopi and vist Poco Loco for great food and great service great Margaretia - thoroughly recommended!!!

have never stayed here but hey if you know you are staying very close to Sidari high street with all the bars and entertainment surely you realise that will bring some noise with it!!!! If you dont want noise choose an area away from the strip!!!!!!!!

the pool is not dirty!!!!! How can you say that it is very clean have been swimming in that pool every year (most years twice) since it opened in 1996 never once have we had an infection from A DIRTY POOL - speaks for iteself

I love Corfu and sidari but totally disagree with 'pub crawls' and do not think the travel agents should encourage this behaviour in any resorts ( except maybe Kavos) I think the majority of families/couples etc. who go for a holiday to enjoy the daytime sunshine and evening eating etc. do not want to join the reps all making fools of themselves and getting drunk! Travel operators should take ownership of what they are inflicting on the resorts!!!!!

we stayed at this hotel, was lovely but dont have the orange juice at breakfast - not pure orange juice. Only complaint so read into that what you will!!!!! Recommended!

I presume this is the resturant at Sunset Beach - superb setting, great cill music, very restful and beautiful. Fantastic!!!!!

It is very difficult to find when you dont know where it is. If you follow the road that leads to the large car park  (at the crossroads where McDonalds is go past and opposite the paridise is the road) go to nearly the end and you will see Romano on your right. Very very good food. Used by many Greeks which I beleive speaks volumes!!!!!

I think  it is unfair that you have allowed a comment about victor and the mint club to be displayed on this post - it could be seen as liable and maybe if victor ever saw this he would sue the sight - what has victor got to do with Diverso anyway!!!!!!

Havenever been mself but my daughter and husband went - they booked through value plus how specialise in trips and car hire situated on the main road into Sidari opposite the oasis resturant and further through the town near the bowling alley. They really enjoyed it and found it to be good value for money!!!!!

Been again to Sidari, returned last week. Had lunch and evening meal on several occasions were never dissapointed!!! Red wine now at room temp I am glad to say - in 2004 it was always chilled!!!!!

On returning to Sidari we ate again a few times here and had a great evening - good service - great food - and lovely staff. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant!!! Big George is totally crazy!!!!

The chinese we went to was actually called China Town - excellant food, great service Pablo was great!! Have been a few times never dissapointed - highly recommended.

I find it very diffut to beleive the rating Buddies has on the front sheet. i.e. no comments - there are in fact 9 - 2 from  DG Lite who obviously had a problem with victor. He does not run Buddies Lisa does. 6 very positive comments regarding Buddies not reflected why? Check on the other posts from the negative comments, they are very interesting!!!!!

Having checked all the post from DJ lite I have concluded he is just a nutter - I am sure Sidari is pleased he went home!!!!! Your depression I think is Sidari's salvation!!!!!! To clarify Yannis and Sophie do have 2 sites - both called valueplus - the main office where they are based is in the high street when coming into Sidari from Corfu Town they are situated on the right hand side just past the Oasis resturant - the second office is at the other end of Sidari and is next to the bowling alley and opposite the taxi rank.

Do not get this trip throught your rep!!!! They will charge about  37 euro's - its the way they supplement their wages - but the tour operators charge so much for their holidays so should be abe to pay their reps a good wage and not train them to continue to rip of the tourist - go to a local shop like valueplus and find the same trip for 18 euros!!!!!!! Why would you want to  spend 37 euros against 18 euros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sidari can be anything you want it to be it depends on where you choose to spend your days and evenings etc. Most apartments do tend to be basic but very clean. If Jimmys was unhygenic then take it up with your travel agent. Next holiday you book go to the north pole because Sidari does not want people to return with your attitude.

We have been to, and enjoyed food at this resturant sinced it opened. It was great when we were there for a week this winter the restuarant was open Friday Saturday and Sunday. For eat in or take away. We had a wonderful takeaway and it worked out 'cheap as chips' but totally wonderful. Keep up the good work guys!!!!!!

May can be a truly magical time, with warm days, cooler evenings and fire flies visible on all the green areas Such a wonderful sight. However in early May it can still be cold in the day. Last year May was wonderful, but a couple of years ago I was there and it was sooooooo cold, rainy and only 2 nice days. However this year, in March I had a week there and it was fantastic. So You never know for certain what the weather will bring. However it is such a beautiful place there is so much to enjoy so dont get hung up on the weather just have a great time.

The weather in July is really beautiful, if you have the option of air conditioning take it, you will need it

Every thing is now open and Sidari is getting to be very busy. You can though still find 'quiet' places to enjoy. If you are interested in car hire or trips, then try Value plus. Situated as you come into Sidari high street on the right hand side of the road, just past the big supermarketo and also up near canal d'mour next to the southern fried chicken outlet. Value plus cars offer very good value for money and have fully comprehensive insurance (unlike some other operators) and the trips are good value and very much cheaper than booking through your tour rep

Again a great time to visit if you like hot, hot, hot and busy, busy , busy. This is the month all the italians come to Corfu so it is mega busy. Not my favourite time.

We have been there with terrific thunderstorms, floods etc and also been there when the weather has been fantastic. It's pot luck as to when the 'rains' start. Its this that makes the island so green so we have to accept it

October means that places are begining to close down. The weather is quite unpredictable, but can be very nice. It is a very laid back time to be there, I like it it is though a sad time because for most it will be six months before the chance of a return. I have been there in January, last year, and it snowed that was wonderful!!!! February when it was cold but very bright, March this year when the weather was wonderful. Easter about 5 years ago, which was April and was totally amazing. The only months I have not visited so far are Nov and Dec. so out of the 10 months I have been there I have to say Corfu is a truly magical place and seems to attract many of the same people back year after year. So find your own special area in Corfu and your own favourite month (if you can) or like me enjoy all the differing things that Corfu has to offer each month.

I have never actually stayed in Arrillas, but love to visit at least once while on holiday, it really is a beautiful place.

Do not really like to book through operators, prefer flight only - always use www.xl.com - good value flight and book my own place to stay. Try it

Although we do not stay in Kassiopi we do like to visit and have found the Kassiopi Star to be excellant and normally visit at least once every holiday.

If you like mexician food, you will love this venue. Have spent many a great evening enjoying excellant food, service and atmosphere. Give it a try
