Just got back from two weeks in the Dimas. This being our fifth visit to Kassiopi. We were in the bottom block with a fantastic view of the harbour.Cleaners in nearly everyday, sheets & towels changed twice, plenty of crockery & kitchen utensils. Two drawbacks.(1)You need to be a mountain goat to climb the 26 steep steps after you have climbed the first 10-15 metres of the steep hill.(2)The noise every night from the Harbour Bar which can go on till after 3-00am.Would we go back? Afraid not.
We stayed in E block the newest and best equipped, but farthest up the hill. We never resolved the dilemma on how to get a good night sleep - air conditioning would be beneficial - you either have windows and doors open and suffer noise and mossies or shut them and bake. Mossie bites a predominant feature of a Brit in Corfu!
Good Greek food, but tacky gift shops everywhere. Advise hiring a car to see the Island - the beach at Kalamaki is great for the little ones and only 10 mins away, and lovely up in the hills.
First visit to Greece and we enjoyed the food, the people, the scenery but were disappointed by the apartment. Mean on utensils/ crockery. Cleaning service - towels and sheets never changed. Paid 20e to keep apartment last day - was given another which was not cleaned until we complained. Noise from town carries up hill at night - bars til 2.30 - cockerels at 5am !
THESE WERE THE MAIN APPARTMENTS THAT I LOOKED AFTER WHEN I WAS A REP FOR KASSIOPI LAST YEAR! THE ONLY PROBLEMS I EVER HAD WAS PEOPLE MOANING ABOUT THE HILL LEADING UP TO THE APPARTMENTS! YOU HAVE YOUR REP AND A HANDYMAN TO HELP WITH THE CASES AND ONCE YOUR UP THERE I PROMISE THE VIEW AND POOL WILL MAKE UP FOR THE TRECK! THE APPARTMENTS ARE WELL LOOKED AFTER AND AS FOR NOISE YOU VERY RARELY HAVE MUCH PROBLEM.HIGH SEASON MAY BE A LITTLE LIVELY BUT MY ADVISE IS TO JOIN IN, ITS GOOD FUN
worst bit was getting up the hill with the suitcase, apartment clean but basic. nice pool very quiet when we went in October,
we are going to the Dimas apartments beginning of May does can anybody tell me about car hire??
We're going to stay at the Dimas Apts. in late May 2003 has anyone been out there already this year?
We have a 13yr. old(going on 40)are there any things that you can reccomend as especially suited for a lad of that age?
And as an old fogey I'm interested in how noisey it is at night
Could i have a picture of the apartments? Is there a pool? how far from local amenities and beach
Basic apartments but clean and easy to get to shops restaraunts etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Have been twice and mean to go again
