Marika Apartments

We are going to the Andreas apartments in Kassiopi, booked with direct holidays, can anyone tell us anything about the apartments. Many thanks.

Thank you to Steve Boyd, as we were booked to go to the Marika 11 apartments end of July, hadn't received our tickets, so rung Direct Holidays, and was told, there was a problem with printing our tickets, but after reading your comment on Friday, I rung again, knowing what you had said, and yes was told we wouldn't be staying in the Marika apartments, but we are now staying the Andreas Apartments, so if any one has any comments on these apartments please let me know. Many thanks again.

WARNING to anyone who has booked the Marika apartments with Direct Holidays. DH nolonger have the apartments to let and they will offer you an alternative. I found out with 10 days to go when I enquired about the tickets, after three phone calls I was told that I was being offered an alternative.

Does anyone know what company Marika apartments are under for 2006? They are not with Direct holidays as they are this year.

Just wondering which brochure I can find the Marika Appts in?

After 12 visits in 6 years,I can honestly say this is one of the nicest apts we've stayed in.Fantastic location.Quiet/great seaview,
'though not too faraway.Booked it via Thomson 2001.Experience with Direct is they never seem to keep good apts.?

Alan - DO YOU HAVE THE DIRECT HOLIDAY BROCHURE ? AS YOU LOOK AT ONE OF THE TWO BEDROOM APPS IS ON THE FIRST FLOOR ON THE LEFT - I THINK THE OTHER ONE IS ACROSS THE WAY FROM THE STUDIO WE HAD WITH A BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE STAIRS. WE HAD THE STUDIO NEXT TO THE ONE AT THE FRONT NEXT TO THE TWO BEDROOM - THE VIEW AS I SAID WAS TO DIE FOR, THE STUDIO WAS A GREAT SIZE AND FURNISHED TO AN OK STANDARD (IT IS GREECE YOU MUST REMEMBER) THE BEDS,HOWEVER LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED WELL NOT SO MUCH THE BEDS (ALTHOUGH VERY LOW) THE MATRESSES - I KNOW WE WERE AT THE END OF THE SEASON BUT I THE WERE VERY LUMPY AND SQUASHED TO NOTHING WHEN LAID ON SO NOT THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING TO SLEEP ON!!!!

glad to help ,but tell us what were the appartments like?we have booked two bedroom.

not that there is of course anything wrong with the ariti apartment - its just would not have been the Marika.

Hi Alan - Thank you so much for the information on direct holidays - i have just made my booking for September 2005.... yes, it is that lovely the pool is so close and the views from the poolside appartments is spectacular!!!! Noted on the direct holidays site that the Marika II are now listed was aware that they were to included next year so that was right. Thank you so much again, you have saved me from being very unhappy 2 weeks in the Ariti Apartments kassiopi becasue i'd be wishing i was at the Marikia - hope you enjoy Kassiopi as much as we did.

marika appartments are in the direct holidays brochure,we are going thee in june 2005,so they are really nice then?

HAd a great time in Kassiopi - I LOVED IT. So much so i want to go back again next year.... loved the apartments roome no 5 (except the matress!!!) the view couldn't be bettered the pool was fine. the cleaner, Ellie,was wonderful what a lovely lady. I wanted to go the the same apartments again next year BUT as usual when you find something you like they change it! Have been unable to find the apartments in any brochure, and have been told that this is beacuse they are contracted to a Swedish company for next year. There were several apartment blocks in the road the one next door and the one after that both had pools i think the one next door was called theofilis ?? but what about the on after that any one any ideas and have you seen either in any brochure ? Please Please help i'm desperate to book next years holiday and really would like to go back to the same little bit of Kassiopi with the sea view and a pool.

WE ARE OFF THE THE MARIKA APPS ON 27 SEPTEMBER - IN THE COSMOS BROCHURE THERE IS NO POOL BAR..... HOW CLOSE TO THE BEACH IS IT - DO PEOPLE USE THE POOL? WHATS THE ALBATROS BAR LIKE (IT LOOKS LIKE THE CLOSEST BAR) I GETTING REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE HOLIDAY NOW 12 DAYS AN I'LL BE THERE FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS IN THE SUN (HOPEFULLY)

Are these appts. in Direct brochure as Marika 1 and 2.?? Any recent info.??What are rooms like.Are the towels and sheets changed frequently, bins emptied daily.??Do they have pool bar.??Would be grateful.

We have just returned from our holiday .We stayed at the "marika apartments". They were spotless. Ellie the maid is very friendly. I remembered her from the year before. We have already booked the apartments for two weeks next year.

Great peaceful location, you can throw a stone from sea view rooms into the sea! Close to town centre and supermarket. Was a bit of a walk with cases, no access to buses (road too narrow and dead end). Maid (Ellie) was wonderful, even washed some breakfast dishes we left one morning! Her english is not very good though, Tall chap in baseball cap hiring loungers on beach is called Theo and his english is good, if your stuck he will translate for you! Went in 2002 and returning 2003 with the kids! Cant wait!

Although the apartments are only a few minutes from the town centre and discos it was quiet and peaceful.The apts were spotlessly clean Ellie our maid saw to that.We were allowed a Barbie on the patio area(which we left for the next guests) The pool is 2ft and the sea is 25yds with views right round the bay across to Albania. At night the the lights round the bay reflect across the sea.Take a walk round the point to Kassiopi Harbour.
