hi , visiting corfu very soon , staying at the Belvedere Hotel , Benitses , cant find any information about this hotel or resort on line , please can you advise , thanks , just want to have a nice quiet relaxing holiday , but not be bored out of our minds . hopefully some kind soul will give us an idea of what its like there. fun loving welsh lady x
The Tsaki are approx 15 mins walk from Benitses. They are nice apartments, but are located up in a elevated position. However, the views are spectacular and the owners are very friendly. They are well maintained and cleaned regular.
benitses was a crackin holiday, there were loads of bars and restruants but nothing to lively. i went with my mrs and were never short of being entertained. i would recomend the 1hour bus ride down to kavos for a real party thou, the bus back is at 6 in the mornin and there are places still servin!!!
i just want to ask if anyone has stayed at the LA MIRAGE hotel here and could you give me any info about it or the area of benetsis as we're going there in summer!
We stayed at the sea view studios and pool in a 2 bed apartment in Benitses It was very basic but clean, sheets and small towels where changed once a week which was a bit poor considering the hot weather.
A small two ring cooking stove. A few pots and pans. Enough to make a snack or even a light lunch.
The views we had where beautiful, The pool was right outside our door
which was great, the kids where never out of it. The local beach was shingly, but very clean the attendant on the beach was very nice and freindly he could not do enough for you.
The nighlife was great my family enjoyed the karaoke bar Laceys ask for Phil the scouse he makes you feel welcome.
We met several other familys we all hired cars and went to Saint Georges beach a must if you can drive. The Aqua Park is a must you can get there by bus from corfu Town centre.
There are local shops that you can buy from. The food is good and you will recieve a freindly welcome from the locals.
Overall the holiday we had was wonderful mainly because we had good company and we made the most of it.
Both the Reynolds and Hurt mob stopped at the Roula appartments in Benitses in August 2004, we had a great time and fantastic hosts both Spiros and Anne. The food was great the pool was relaxing especially with plenty of Amstel. The appartments were clean and comfortable, though a basic, but most of our time was spent eating out and drinking with the odd trip somewhere. If you visit Benitses go to the Roula appartments for a meal or a drink, Spiros will be happy to serve you and make you welcome. Thank you Spiros and Anne for the great holiday. P.S Watch out for Spiros trying to teach you Greek Dancing at 1pm in the morning after Champagne, Beer and More Beer...It just ain't a good combination :)
i found benitses 2 b very quiet and the hill we had 2 climb 2 get back 2 the studio was mad! was there 4 2weeks recently and ended up stayin somewer else for a few days. i would recomend this holiday to families and couples if u like quite times!
Myself and my friend have just come back from Benitses in Corfu. We had the most fantastic time the town of Benitses is quite quiet in the daytime and is quite touristy but the night time was brill, we espcially liked the very potent cocktails and all the bar people were very friendly and always made us feel very welcome. Our accomadation was not very good we stayed at the Kerkyra Studios, it has a pool but the rooms are very small and not very well maintained, the best places to visit at night are the Rio Grande bar Alex and his sister maria are really nice, also the Alexanders Bar is brill alex the owner is really lovely all in all we had a fatastic holiday and will definately be going back next year.
Stayed at the Rio Grande, great people Alex Maria barbara & Dimitris make you very welcome Recomend the plank steak, Beaches were not great most of them shingle, for a great beach try Glyfada stunning views on the way all in all great place
We went on a late deal last July and stayed at the Corfu Maris. Good clean hotel with great views of the sea and yards from the shingle beach, which at 1st we thought we would not like, but better sand. Well, it does get everywhere.
All bars /restaurants were cheap cheerful. The people were brilliant everybody appeared to want you to enjoy yourself, and we did. We being 2 families(4 adults plus 4 teenagers) We felt able to let our 'young adults' have more freedom than in some resorts we have been to because we felt it was safe.
Food was much cheaper than other Corfu resorts we visited .
We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for this year.
Car prices sorry forgot!! we hired a hyundai a to z for for days for 90 euros. but were going this year further north and are hiring a seicento for two weeks for 310 euros, pick up and drop off the car at the airport, thats with http//www.topcars .gr for sept 27th to 11th october if you email them they will give you a price in a couple or three days

In june 2003 my wife her parents and I stayed in the roula appartments, altough a little on the small side ( most studios in greece are ) It was very clean and in a very quiet location about 150 yards from the beach. The cooking facilitys are a little basic, but there are loads of places to eat on the sea front. The pool that is for the use of the appartments is rented out to a greek fellow called spiros and his english wife, mary I think. One word of warning when we were there they were charging 2 euros a day for each sunbed, regardless of if you ate or drank at the snack bar ( which is very good, average prices )but the pool is very clean. A few places to eat, Try the village grill just turn left from the road you walked down from the appartments its 50 yards along the road, Spiros (yes another one!) his daughter harris and his son, along with his partner dimitris are fantastic, its reasonbly priced and the food is great, try his home made tsipero! Also try nikkos. There are two internet cafes also but the best is connection its by the side of the other but up a back alley, they have a pro pool table playstation two and international calls all pay per minute very reasonable. they do cold snacks too, the lager is aslo one of the cheapest we found. If you don't have a good time I'll eat my hat!
