Having been a regular to sidari for over 12 years I must say Symposio restaurant has gone to the dogs!!!!! awful service, truly awful food and the most unattentive and uninterested staff I have ever encountered on my many visits to this resort.

Just returned from a week in Sidari staying in the Alkion. As we arrived late on the first night we ate in the first place that you find when you walk out of the Alkion, Symposia.
I love Greek food and always try to eat only that when holidaying in Greece, I like to think I can taste the difference between good and bad, that said this restaurant is the worst Greek restaurant serving the worst Greek food that I have ever tasted, the Stifado was dreadful, the Kleftiko was awful, the veg was frozen veg, the potatoes were burned, the wine was warm and we are kicking ourselves that if we had turned left instead of right we could have ate at The Family or better still Sailors.
Had lovely meal here, fresh and cooked well, staff very friendly would defiantely recommend
Visited Sidari for the seventh time in August. We have added comments after each visit to say what a great restaurant Symposia is. In the year since we last visited the restaurant it is even better with more dishes added to the menu. If you are visiting Sidari this year give Symposia a visit.
All the food cooked is done superbly, cooked slow with local fresh vegetables, served in a friendly, caring atmosphere. All washed down with their local wines
Would recommend anything on the menu but we particularly enjoyed the Souvlaki, Stifado, Moussaka and Lamb Kleftico. The homemade desserts are to die for, especially the katafi.
The service was always provided with a smile The food is always fresh and not frozen and very tasty try the garlic mushrooms you wont be disappointed.
So if you want a great value for money family run restaurant this is one of the best place to go in Sidari.
We would recommend you go there at least once because you will go back night after night and you will have a good time.
Enjoy!
Just got back from Sidari and can`t believe the Symposia only gets a 5 out of 10 rating. The food was of a good quality and the menu was quite extensive. Our favourites were the lamb sofrito, the stifado, and of course, the kleftiko, and especially when washed down with a large carafe of reb wine. Add to this the excellent and friendly service we always receive, I would not hesitate to recommend the Symposia and look forward to visiting again very soon. Hopefully!!!!!!!!

Fantastic food and service and very good value for money. Always busy, so that says it all.
OUCH, there are comments on here that i cant understand, this place is fantastic, still, some folk would not recognise a good thing if it hit them between the eyes, i have just looked on the msn group "sidari and the northern coast of corfu" which has over 300 members and it is voted the best restaurant in sidari , take my word they are right !
Very average and managed to give us someonelse bill which( surprise, surprise) was more than ours. Didn't apologise one iota and treat it as a joke!
The service was lovely, but the food was not that good! i had half a chicken and it winked at me, my partner had a chicken breast and it had a bone in it!!!!
Real Greek food served with real Greek hospitality!! Absolutley fantastic! Ate in here at least once a week for 7 months and never had a bad meal!!!!!
Highly recommended. Food is excellent, if you like steak try the three bon fillet, which is 3 fillet steaks each with a separate sauce “fantastic” for 9 euros .Although they are always busy, the staff are first class, will go back again next year.
In the Canal Demour area of Sidari. The food was good, service good, a nice Greek Taverna.
Excellent restaurant, only tried the greek stuff though the lamb kleftiko and the spit roast lamb was gorgeous and only 5 euros!!! plenty of meat!!! and we saw toyah battersby from coronation street in there she was sat next to us lol
The food here was extremely good and the portions were very large!! Also, if you have their Irish Coffee be prepared for a strong one. The only problem we had was that the service was not as friendly as other restaurants and this let them down.
Fantastic!
Gorgeous food, friendly waiters, (say Hi to Spiros) and you have to try the Spaghetti Kakanora, ooodles of feta cheese!
Best place to eat in Sidari, bar none!
Well what can i say the BEST in town.Av price for 2 starter main meal Greek sal jug of wine 22to25 eur
Loved it, went there four times in total each time trying a different meal. All first class. Service generally very good but waiters could benefit from looking at the customers now and again instead of watching the street!
The symposia is next to the Alkion hotel,& opposite the three little pigs.
Hi where is Symposio? sounds good.
This was the first Restaurant we tried, very glad we did. The Stamna was excellent. Would reccomend anyone to eat here.
Simply a must when you visit Sidari - you will not be sorry!!
Only discovered this gem with three days left of our two weeks in
Sidari but we ended up going there every night after. Fantastic
quality food and at a fair price (you wouldn't get this quality for the
same price back home that's for sure)
The Stamna must be one of the best things that i've ever tasted
and the Sofrito was beautiful.
