It was our first time in Kassiopi (May 9th - 17th) - definately not the last though!! This place is full of tradition and charm. Stayed at the Olive Grove Apts (15 mins walk from the village - ideal location). The resort is not too big and not too small, which is ideal and there is something to suit everyone. Many bars and tavernas to choose from, but I'd recommend the Istoni Taverna and the Strofilia Taverna for a fantastic meal and a traditional Greek welcome!
A good 10 minute walk from Kassiopi centre - which we didn't mind at all. The views accross to Albania were fantastic. As there are only 9 Apartments it didn't get busy around the pool area, and also as it was a small complex everyone seemed to get to know each other. A change of towels would have been nice - but hey, you're on holiday in Greece - if the place or the people were any more laid back it'd/they'd fall over!! Can't wait to go back again next year!
We went in May (9 - 16th) 2003 and returning again for the same time next year but for 2 weeks. The weather was brilliant but not too hot, the greenery was so Lush with fantastic smelling and looking flowers it was quite magical in some places. Also the season was/is just starting so it wasn't too crowded. I'd fully recommend it.
Friendly, Value for money and traditionally run by a Greek family. Worth a visit.
It was OK - but sisn't quite have that Greek feeling that some of the other restaurants had but still worth a visit!
Traditional Greek food that was good value for money. Well worth a visit.
Just came back after a week in Sidari - highly recommended cafe/restaurant, good value for money, clean and the staff were very friendly!
Simply a must when you visit Sidari - you will not be sorry!!
My boyfriend and I are just back from a week in Sidari. We stayed at the Summertime Apartments (very clean and spacious) which are in the Canal D'Amour area of the resort, and in my opinion the nicest bit - although all of it is very nice indeed, but a slower pace of life I thought (getting too old to party all night I'm afraid - those days are long gone!!) There's something to suit all tastes at this resort. Found a lovely little restaurant on our last night there called 'Marianella's', about 5 mins walk from Canal D'Amour towards Peroulades - beautiful!
It was our second visit to Kassiopi and stayed at the Hercules Studios (Room 4) from May 16th - 23rd. We were not disappointed! Before hand we were a bit apprehensive - feedback we were given was not very positive, mainly because of the 'supposedly' steep long hill that led to the studio! It was only a slight gradient! There is no view from the balcony at the back but the view from the front makes up for this! These studios are situated in an excellent location - 2 mins from the square, about 5 mins from the Harbour! They were basic but very clean. We were allowed to use the Sunny Pool facilities next door, which you paid 2Euros a day for your sunbed (they would also give you a free drink!!) The pool area was compact, but had a very friendly atmosphere. We would definately go back and use these Studios again!
It was our 2nd visit to Kassiopi (May 16th - 23rd 2005), and will not be our last!! It is a charming resort on the North East coast. The village comprises of a Harbour, village sqaure and the remains of an old fortress. Its charm remains because it is still a working village it even has its own primary school just off the square and the local fishermen set out from the harbour daily with their small boats. The choice of tavernas is excellent ranging from traditional Greek to Italian, Mexican to Chinese. There is a good choice of bars for you to choose from.
Ideal if you like your pop quizzes!! Friendly laid back atmosphere with a good but difficult pop quiz.
A visit to Costas's is a must. Make sure you get there early for the excellent Greek dancing. Brilliant atmosphere. Don't miss it!!
You are always made welcome here. A lively place with something always going on. Live football on the big screen, quiz nights and karaoke.
