what can i say we have enjoyed proper greek food at the family for about the last 9 years,this is not tourist food but the real deal,marco [pa pa marco]hard working and passionate about the food his wife and the team cook ,the grill mmmm not to be missed .recommended to anyone wanting good honest greek food,when marcos aide bobla [snail] tries a bit harder perfect ha ha.seriously good lad.will be back july 2013,brill ten out of ten

The Family restaurant is by far the best in Sidari, a proper traditional greek taverna, i'm a bit late in leaving my comment as I went in July 2010 but am due to go back again this July.

The family was by far the best restaurant we went to in the two weeks we were in sidari. The owner marco was the loveliest man ever he was kind happy and got involved with everyone and i recommend the feta in the oven it is to dye for but yes it was a brilliant restaurant words cannot describe this restaurant.

This is one the best restaurants in sidari. We made good friends with the owners Marco & Rita, and the staff who where great, the food was brilliant and filling, lamb kleftico & pork, chicken,lamb on the spit on certain days of the week are superb. The staff are all very friendly and the food is of a very good price. i recommend it to anyone and will definitely go again!!!!!!

A warm welcome, excellent food and good service kept us returning night after night. Probably easiest to spot as it's full every night (which speaks for itself)  The staff are excellent and the owner (who speaks excellent English) will explain the specials and what they consist of. There were not enough nights to try all we wanted. Special Nights at a Special restaurant.

Sidari has many excellent restaurants - and it has some even better than that!! The Family is one of them. The service, food and friendly atmosphere is first class. The traditional Greek dishes are excellent and the vegetarian lasagne are not to be missed!. Marco & Spirros ensure that you have a relaxing time whilst enjoying high quality food.

the family is a great place to eat and experience the true meaning of what a family is all about as you get to see the whole family enjoying each others company which is heart warming. the food is great and the blue cheese sauce is to die for. marco and rita are great hosts and look after you so well, they have become friends not just owners. see you june. nicky & dee.xx

This was our seventh visit to Sidari but our first visit to the Family and despite wanting to try a different restaurant every night we went here three times. The food was excellent, the starters were huge and we did not have room to sample puddings! House wine was the best as well! Staff very good and nothing was to much trouble. Thanks Marco!  We will be back.

Traditional Greek taverna serving traditional Greek food a rare find these days.Try the Family, you will not be disappointed. We had roasted lamb on the spit)fantastic! Staff very friendly and helpful.

The Family gives you a fantastic meal and staff are very helpfull and friendly, will go back next year.

yassou Rita and Marco hope is all well. What a wonderfull family. I orginally worked with rita in summer 03 in a different resturant. She use to cook me my dinner- anything i liked and also she was a right laugh!! Came back to work in summer 04 where i heard she was no longer there and had her own resturant. I missed her greatly as the new chef was a right rude witch. Hope to see you in summer 05

Nice and friendly with out being over friendly. Did take a while to get your meal but was worth waiting for. Small shot which actually contained alcohol at the end of the meal. Worth going for nice Greek food. The Sunday Lamb on the spit was very good.

THE BEST GREEK HOME MADE FOOD YOU CAN HAVE IN SIDARI. WE ENJOYED ALL OUR MEALS. DONT MISS THE LAMB OR THE STUFFED PORK ON THE SPIT. GOOD SERVICE

Went twice to the Family - great meal each time. Went on Sunday night for Lamb cooked on the spit - excellent.

Although this restaurant was quiet we were amazed with the quality of the food. Definitely worth a visit and good service.
