Sidari was the best resort we have been to in Greece. The centre of the resort has a handful of lively bars / clubs. With plenty of quieter bars in the surrounding areas. Good selection of Greek tavernas with reasonably priced meals, main meals were about 6 euros (exchange rate 1.7 euros to the pound). The main beach is sandy and a reasonable length and width, sloping gently. The D’Amore sea front doesn’t have much in the way of beach but plenty of flat rock for sun bathing, the sea has cut channels into the cliff which make great places to swim. Seemed to be a friendly resort which manages to cater for teenagers on their first holidays as well as families. Mosquitoes!! You will get bitten, everyone does, you just have to accept it. Its greener and wetter than other places we have been in Greece which suits the mossies I guess. Enjoy
Nice and friendly with out being over friendly. Did take a while to get your meal but was worth waiting for. Small shot which actually contained alcohol at the end of the meal. Worth going for nice Greek food. The Sunday Lamb on the spit was very good.
Nice setting over looking a small bay at the Canal D’Amore end of Sidari. If you go before sunset there is a great view of the sunset, not visible from the taverna but just 20 meters along a path, so take a camera. The food was very nice Greek, the service polite and pleasant.
Didn’t eat here but spoke to a couple who had and said it was the worst place they had eaten in Sidari. I think this taverna is in the Canal D’Amore area.
Boasts 13 inch plates, the plates may have been 13 inches but it doesn’t mean they are full. This place was the only disappointing place we ate in Sidari, not terrible just not some where I would go back to. The chips were very good, big, thick and home made. I had the rack of ribs, the rack was big but there was no that much meat on it, mainly fat and bones, I have had better. Perhaps I was unlucky. The taverna is in the D’Amore area. This was the most expensive meal we had in Sidari, main courses were about a Euro more than most other places.
In the Canal Demour area of Sidari. The food was good, service good, a nice Greek Taverna.
