Orchard

Restaurants in Sidari

A great place to eat with a great family orientated atmosphere. George is a great host who is always happy to advise and explain what some dishers include (and how to make them once home) the prices are fantastic, a 3 course meal with drinks for myself and my other half was just under 50 euros. We came back 4 nights during our stay and have visited the Orchard in the past. Great food, drink and very friendly!!

Just got back from Peroulades after staying at the Polyxeni. The Orchard was definitely the best restaurant we went to. My partner had the hot cheese starter but we can't remember the name. Can anyone help out ?
George was a great host and the one quiz we did was great fun. Glad to be home but glad we got a chance to eat at the Orchard too.

Just come back from Sidari and ate at the Orchard, what a lovely place, the grounds are really lovely, the owners and the staff are really nice people and very friendly, the food was delicious, the Kleftico is to die for. We are going back in August so will make a point of eating here again. Thanks to all at the Orchard for a lovely evening.

As we were staying at the Andromeda Hotel the Orchard was on the road into Sidari.Me & my boyfriend went for a meal here and it was excellent. I had a pizza and my boyfriend had a greek dish of chicken in a garlic sauce which were both yummy! George the owner is so friendly, my boyfriend came back a few times to watch the football and he always came and chatted to him bout it. Really nice place!

We look forward to seeing you all next year

Hi George

Thanks for your lovely photos and map of your taverna, only fault is I can't see the map very well to find out where you are.

How far away from the saxophone are you?  Are you along the same road or another road by the Alkion Hotel?   Many thanks Shirley

George is fab! As already mentioned he always has time for a chat and a joke.

His prices are not high, maybe some meals are upto a euro above some of the other places we ate, but the portion sizes are big and the food quality was high. Oh and then theres George and his manner of service
Garlic bread was a weird experience, but grilled flat greek bread with garlic was a nice change.

The "mega" english breakfast was great every time I had it.

If it is still in season when you visit, try the Quince Crumble, its homemade and the fruit look like a pear or apple, but the taste is similar to rhubard, but without the stringy texture, definitely worth a try.

Chris was only there the first two visits then he went back to UK, his stand in, Mark, who is from near Newcastle, was a good source of local knowledge and just as funny.

Over all an excellent experience and if I do ever decide I want to visit Sidari again, I would definitely revisit The Orchard frequently.

Enjoy.

Dawn and myself have been back a week from sidari and had a fantastic time, all the reataurants we ate in were lovely but this was by far the best. George was friendly and made us both most welcome. It was the first place we ate in when we arrived and we said afterwards we would definately go back. The pop quiz was superb along with the prizes!! which we won twice!. If your reading this George thanks once again and if we come back to Sidari yours will be the first place we eat in. Dawn and Andy

I have just returned from a lovely holiday in Sidari, and the Orchard is a wonderful place to go.

By far it is the best place to eat in Sidari and we just kept returning again and again. Not only is the food delicious but the owners are friendly and lovely. The range of food was delicious.

Thank-you so much George and Debbie for being so kind and welcoming. I have some very happy memories of being at the Orchard.

(I'm not as good as Nick at putting into words what I mean, but I agree with everything he said!)

Well done for having such a wonderful place. Clap
Thank-you again, missing the place and you already.

Love Kate xx

Less than 24 hours ago, we were eating a delicious breakfast here at this wonderful taverna / restaurant, which surely must be one of the best in Sidari.

The Orchard, situated a very pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the resort centre along a quieter tree-lined road, is a welcome haven if you prefer something a little more relaxed and romantic. We tried a few other places around Sidari, but kept coming back here because of the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and delicious food. You can enjoy almost anything you heart desires here, from a traditional homemade Greek dish to a traditional English roast. George, the Greek owner, and his English wife Debbie create a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere which is helped along by George's marvellously humorous and witty remarks! (If you like jokes, George is your man!) Debbie cooks some wonderful food: her Greek garlic bread is to die for, along with the Spagetti Carbonara with chicken and bacon and the Greek dishes she prepares fresh daily. I had one such meal which consisted of tender beef cooked in a white wine sauce and served with oven-baked garlic potatoes, followed by homemade peach and apple crumble with cream! Truly delicious! Even the cheese and ham toasties we ate for lunch tasted a cut above the rest.

Overall, this delightful place, nestling amongst the trees with a pretty garden and surrounded by fields is the kind of restaurant / taverna most people would dream of finding on their holiday, yet being on the edge of the resort, it remains unspoilt and undiscovered by the livelier clientele. With background music, comfortable (and clean!) seating and tables, romantic lighting, candles and the occasional quiz night, this was the one place that helped make our holiday so enjoyable. We shall not forget it for a long, long time.

Well here is a little GEM fantastic food, choice of english or greek, the owners George ( a Corfiot ) and Debbie his wife ( English ) are full of hospitality, our third year in the area wish we had found this place on our first year. the price is not the cheapest, but this is more than made up for by the quality and portion size. In Corfu like anywhere you get what you pay for, this is by no way an exspensive place do not get me wrong, else even I could not have visited as many times as my family did. Never had a bad meal of either country origin. 5*. Never had the Greek garlic bread anywhere else like it anyone going here you must try cooked on a baguette rather than a loaf, fantastic idea, great taste. To find this hidden gem you have to come out of canal d'mour for a good 10 min walk or get a taxi direct for only 5 euros. you will not be dissapointed.

We've just returned from a two week, self catering holiday in Sidari, nearly all our evening meals & some breakfasts were eaten at this restaurant as we were so impressed!

The menu has a wide range of dishes and has choices of traditional Corfiot dishes and good old English favourites.  Our particular favourites were the Stamna, the meatballs, the Greek sausages and the Sunday roast!

The Owner George & his wife Debbie, who does all the cooking, warmly welcome you and provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment, this summer, they are ably assisted by Chris who not only has a great sense of humour & is very friendly but can provide additional entertainment in the form of his 'amazing' card tricks!

A definite must try are the alcoholic milkshakes (I tried every one!).  I can recommend the Georges Best & the Chocolate Monkey.

It's a little walk from the centre of Sidari, through Melitza, on the Canal D'Amour Road towards Peroulades.  As the sign says along the way....pass the rest & try the best; you won't be disappointed.
