well what can i say that asnt been said before, absolutly top notch scran cannot be beaten and great value for money. the cornedbeef pie is a must as is the fish n chips (real chips) try it i bet you return,also buy a calender for the sidari strays all money raised goes to there up keep and they do a damn good job with rehoming etc only 12 euro.a bargain see you again next year folks.

What can I add that hasn't already been said before, thanks Jon and Michelle and all the staff for the wonderful food and hospitality, you just keep getting better and better. Message for Michelle, take it easy now and don't work too hard as you have that little bump to take care of now and by the time we come back out in 9 weeks it will be quite a big bump so hope to see you sitting down with your feet up, tell Jon sorry we didn't get back to say goodbye last Thursday but it was early to bed because of the flight on Friday. Miss you all and see you soon.

Anyone missing out on "CHURCHILLS" you dont know what youve missed, its Brilliant, I always said "I havent come to Greece to go in a bloody English Chip Shop, this is far from being a bloody english chip shop.

We have just returned from a holiday in Sidari and we eat at Churchills on several occasions to which we found  to be very good quality and value indeed especially the famous Fish and Chips or should I say baby whale, John & Michele were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble all in all a very friendly and memorable expereance, I would like to recommend it to anyone who likes good honest food. Oh and by the way Liam was ok too (haha)

hi...i have just come back from corfu and i really enjoyed it. churchills is great. my wife and i ate there neally everyday for 2weeks, for at least one meal a day if not all meals of the day..haha...its really nice the sunday roasts are amazing the yorkshire puddings are out of this world. the fish was lovely  too. great portion sizes. the staff are very kind and really friendly will definatly advise people to go and eat there....this is the best place in corfu u can ever eat...thank you to everyone who works there. 

hi u guys thanks for the great service at churchhills. the food was amazing and the prices are very good. any1 visiting corfu deffo eat at churchills its really nice. the staff are so down 2 earth and nice people 2 make friends with...hopefully i will be back there soon....

this place should be called the ritz absolutely mega food the roast dinners are fantastic all fresh and home made excellent service througly recommend it    the best place in sidari to eat by far

We have just come back from a 2 week holiday to corfu, there was 8 of us went and we spent most of the 2 weeks in churchills eating either breakfast, dinner or a meal at night, the food here is really great all the staff are friendly and with us being from the northeast we felt at home, keep up the good work churchills we will recomend you to all of our friends.

Fantastic food, fantastic people.  Never had bad food there yet always beautifully cooked and served - good on yer Michelle.  The fish this time was better than any Ive had in England for a long time - glad I only had the small one though.  And what better than having your meal in the same room as Elvis -wow.

hi woz in sidari in september wot a fantastic place great service huge portions the fish is to die for with fresh homemade chips and much cheaper than back home.cornedbeef pie is just lush got one bit ov advise if you want to go for sunday roast you must book early as they are always full hope to get back ther next year xx

It was the summers of 2004 and 2005 that we stayed in Sidari at Olga 2 apartments. The Churchills bar was just around the corner from where we stayed and we used it several times during each of the 2 weeks we were there. The look on my boy's face when he saw the size of the rack of ribs he got plus a plate of chips made my whole holiday. He tried his best but could not  finish it. It must have done him some good because he's 17 now and shot up to 6 foot 5 inches. We always found it to be good simple food with ample portions ata a good price. We Also got some DVD's from them of the latest releases at a reasonable price. I will be trying to get out to Sidari again next year and will be looking out for a few old favourites again. The 3 little pigs is good for Greek food and entertainment.

WENT IN HERE IN MAY AND IT WAS BRILLIANT HUGE PORTION OF "FRESH COD & CHIP, WITH PEAS", BUT UNFORTUNATELY I MUST SAY 2 WEEKS AGO (SEPT) WENT IN AGAIN AND THE FISH WAS HORRIBLE AND BROWN, COULDNT EAT IT, HOPEFULLY IT WAS JUST A ONE OFF, IT WOULD BE A PITY IF THE QUALITY GOES DOWNHILL AS THE BRITS WORKING OUT HERE SHOULD PROVIDE GOOD FOOD IF THEY WANT YOU TO SUPPORT THEM.

MUST ADMIT SOMETHING ELSE......THE OWNERS "ELVIS" SHOW AT THE RED LION IN SIDARI IS WORTH GOING TO SEE, HE DONT SOUND "NOWT" LIKE ELVIS BUT YOU WONT HAVE A BETTER LAUGH BEING ENTERTAINED.

well. i and my family stayed at th zafiris appatemants. it was great there. but we spent every breakfast and nearly every lunch here. they do great tasty food and do the best chips ive ever tastedthey did good prices for it aswell. the service was good and very friendly. we will see you all again when we come back to sidari. love hannah xx

We went into Churchills every night that we were in Sidari, usually for a meal though sometimes just for a drink. The service was always excellent with friendly staff and Michelle is an amazing cook! Can't fault meals in any way.....definitely not the portions sometimes felt like they were trying to feed an army as not one of our party managed to completely finish a meal but the food was lovely. As for drinks.......if only UK measures were as good and I blame Dan completely for the fact that no vodka here has any taste regardless of if its a double or not.....think his measures made me immune.

Our third year at eating at Churhills, unfortunately this year I have to say things have gone down hill the quality of the food is NOT what it used to be. So we only ate here twice in the two weeks. the final straw was the fresh caught cod, it might have been fresh once but when it was served it was grey not white and very chewy, well the two mouthfulls i tried to eat, can however recomend the giant filled yorkshie, or even the corned beef pie. The portions are smaller this year probably to encourage the purchase of a desert, or more fluids, more profit i presume. still if it's english food you want you will not find much better in choice in the area.

 superb food . great value for money . the staff are really friendly especially dan and tony and amy is not bad either . i would recomend dan`s famous nickerbocker glory for desert , they are amazing .

If you are visiting corfu anytime soon,no matter where you stay on the island you must try the english grub and hospitality of churchills in sidari.Massive portions will keep even the hungriest person quiet as you munch your way through the best homemade english grub the island has to offer.Try the legendery fish and chips made with a secret home made batter mix.thanks once again michelle and john,hope to see you again soon.

Thought it was really good here. the staff were lovely and polite. Food...well waht can you say. Im very picky when it comes to food, and its great if you miss good old english food. Bangers and mash was nice, and so were the home made pies. Top quality. My friend had fish and chips, it was more like whale and chips the fish was so big. Homemade chip too. Good value, you might have to wait a little for your meal but thats because its always busy. Well worth it though. Highly recommended.

this is the place to go if you are looking for traditional english grub the reason is it is all home made i got a corned beef and potato pattie and it was delious it was thick and tasty with homemade batter! the chips that i got with it were real chips made from real potatos and i also got some mushy peas!!!

Churchills were ok they did great jacket potatoes but their drinks were well over priced!!   Better off with a bottle of water lol!!

Excellent home cooked food. Made the mistake of walking past it in our first week! Try the Giant yorkshire pud and the mixed grill.

   

This is a great place with fantastic friendly staff. The Cook gave us a lift to our apartment when the heavens opened and the rain was bouncing back up off the pavement.

The food was excellent giant Gammon Steaks, Giant fish all well cooked on the premises and served with a smile and a joke. There was no long wait for your food. The fellas even dressed up in womens clothes for a laugh one night. We would definately eat here again even if, as last time we had to travel from the other end of Sidari to do so.

This place was great we were just p+*sed off we didn't book for sunday dinner in time, Large fish and chips better than home by a mile well done

does any body know what the restaurant next door is called to churchill's

We ate here many times and on every occasion the food was fantastic, even when they did run out of Guinness . The servings will satisfy even the biggest of appetites, and the Gammon is the best on the island . The staff were always friendly and welcoming; we would definitely recommend a visit. Hello to all the staff!

This is the best VALUE & QUALITY in Canal d amour.A word of warning DON'T, repeat DON'T order a large fish & chips unless you have a massive appetite. The Mackem staff are great fun & they even had a warm welcome for Geordies & Other nondescript customers.

You know that feeling of dread when you've just ordered and you start panicking that you've made the wrong decision? Or that the person sitting next to you will have something nicer?  Well fear not at Churchills as there's not a thing on the menu that isn't Deeeeeelicious!!!!!  Massive portions of real home cooking...from someone who knows how to cook!!!!  Great food and draught beer...what more could you ask for...plus i suppose that staff aren't too bad either...  ONLY KIDDING!!! ...if you don't mind makems! he he    PS; if either of these wo/men try to serve you your tea...just smile politley and move away slowly.... x

We loved the food here,although we always eat greek food when we are in Corfu we thought we would try this place as we knew John and michelle from when we were there the year before as they worked in the apartments that we stayed in.The food was brilliant as was the service and we will definitely be eating their a few times when we go back in June next year. ideal place for traditional food and everyone there is friendly

Walking down the road with the wife, wearing a 'bad taste' hawian shirt , we fancied some fish to eat. Came across Churchills and what do you know - giant cod & chips with mushy peas and a waiter who's probably got a worse taste in hawian shirts than me - 'come on lass, this looks the biz! We sat down and were pleasantly surprised to find the waiter with the bad taste shirt came from the north east of England just like ourselves.Being a card carrying Geordie I asked the waiter which part of the N.E. did he come from - the answer, 'Sunderland'! Alarm bells started ringing - will the mackem poison our food,drool in our drink? The wife had to hold me down on the chair to stop me from walking out! Glad she did - the food was magnificent - and a good crack was had with the owner(also a mackem!),the waiter and waitress(a bonny lass from Whitley Bay)! This is the best mackem fish and chip shop in Corfu! If you want good food and good service this is the place! Not bad at all for Mackems!

we went to sidari on the 27th of august2004 and stayed at the christos apartments which is near the canalD,amour the rooms were basic and very clean just what you needed the veiw from our room was fantatic .we went to churchills three times in the week we stayed which is about five minutes walk from our apartment two of which were sit in meals and one was a take away the food was really loveley cooked fresh while you waited we tried lasange ,BBQ chicken bacon cheese servered with salad and chips corn beef pie vegetables and gravey ,take away was sausage and home made chips and cheese and potatoe patties with home made chips .Staff were really freindly and kind all in all you must try it for you self .

You must visit these very friendly Geordies.(John & Co). Once we found them, we could not keep away! The helpings were big, and the food was always very fresh, and very tasty. We also had take away chips on a couple of occasions, and all I can say, is that I'm glad that it was not far from our apartment, because the weight of the two lots of chips, made my arms ache!!!!!!!!
If you are reading this, John and Co, I am the fat southern git, who always JOKINGLY said that the food was terrible. First class really!!!

We stayed away for most of the fortnight as we wanted to try the Greek food. Then on the night before we returned home we thought we'd try Chruchills and it was the first time we all cleared our plates and all had deserts. Superb home cooked food, terrific service and a very happy environment.

Hello John and Michelle. Had our tea there the first night we arrived and the fish could be mistaken for Moby Dick!!!!!!!! It was absolutely massive and very enjoyable.
