Orchard - (Restaurants in Sidari)

Rebecca B

We've just returned from a two week, self catering holiday in Sidari, nearly all our evening meals & some breakfasts were eaten at this restaurant as we were so impressed!

The menu has a wide range of dishes and has choices of traditional Corfiot dishes and good old English favourites.  Our particular favourites were the Stamna, the meatballs, the Greek sausages and the Sunday roast!

The Owner George & his wife Debbie, who does all the cooking, warmly welcome you and provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment, this summer, they are ably assisted by Chris who not only has a great sense of humour & is very friendly but can provide additional entertainment in the form of his 'amazing' card tricks!

A definite must try are the alcoholic milkshakes (I tried every one!).  I can recommend the Georges Best & the Chocolate Monkey.

It's a little walk from the centre of Sidari, through Melitza, on the Canal D'Amour Road towards Peroulades.  As the sign says along the way....pass the rest & try the best; you won't be disappointed.

Corfu Andromeda Hotel - (Accommodation in Sidari)

Rebecca B

We've just spent two weeks at the Andromeda Apartments and were very impressed.

Billy (the owner), his staff and family ensure a relaxing, entertaining and enjoyable atmosphere attributable to their helpfulness and obvious commitment to service and satisfaction.

The apartment complex is only just over a year old and this is reflected in the condition of the rooms and grounds.  The cleanliness of the complex & the rooms is very good.

The only issues we found relate to the fairly long walk to Sidari centre (including the beach), the lack of toaster, sharp knife or scissors in the apartment's kitchen & the noisy neighbourhood dogs (earplugs are a good idea, as we discovered!)

As the complex has two fantastic pools, stunning views, well stocked bar & good bar food this made up for the downsides.

If you want a relaxing, get away from it all holiday this is the place for you.  Saturday night entertainment is provided in the form of a Greek dancing evening and BBQ's are held regularly.  There is a small children's play area & children's pool but I would say the apartments are more suitable for couples.

If you don't want to cook for yourself or eat at the bar every night, take the 'top road' towards Sidari and pay a visit to the Orchard restaurant, it's well worth the 10 minute walk!
