The Chrisa hotel closed down in late 2005 and is now a home for the elderly in Acharavi. The pool has been filled in and is now a gardened area. It was a lovely place run by the great english couple who were most friendly either in the hotel or just walking about the village. The hotel will be sadly missed. My wife and I were never guests there but stopped there now and again for a cool drink as we came off the beach.
A really lovely place, Jim & Sue are great, the food & bar serves brilliant food, the pool is gorgeous and I will be going back every year, you couldn't wish for a better hotel. Situated just 2mins from the beach & 2 mins from all the bars & resturants in Acharavi, but set far enough away to be nice & quiet. Archaravi is my favorite place on Corfu.........brill.
My Family and I stayed at Chrisa hotel in September this year and thought it was wonderful. My two children were constantly made a fuss of by Jim and Sue, and totally spoiled for the whole two weeks of our stay. I have recommended them to all our friends and family.
In August 2003 the Greek owners of this hotel were not very accommodating for children. When we found out on our return this year that it is now run by an English couple, we thought there would be an improvement - we were wrong. We stayed at a nearby villa and used the Chrisa pool where we purchased drinks and snacks from their bar. Without going into detail, this place is NOT child friendly and we found it very hostile towards our family. PLENTY OTHER FRIENDLY POOLS AND BARS IN ACHARAVI
We didnt stay at the Chrisa but we spent our days round their pool. Sue and Jim the owners are lovely people and we are hoping to go back to Corfu soon and stay at the chrisa this time.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to jim and sue at chrisa's hotel in acharavi for making our day times enjoyable and also for being very friendly
