We (my girlfriend and I) stayed at the Constantinos Studios last week (16th Sept. '02) in one of the ground floor studios and here's what we thought: The Constantinos Studios building consist of 6 separate Studio Appartments that are divided into 2 Studios on the ground floor (these sleep upto 5) and 4 studios on the first (these sleep 2- I believe). It is set back from the main road that runs through Acharavi (behind what I thought was a DIY shop!!) and is set in a plot of land which has a number of Olive trees growing in it. From a downstairs perspective its positioning was good as it did cut a lot of the noise down from the main road, however on a couple of mornings (about 9am) the shop owner decided to try out his angle grinder! As it is behind the shop there are no views. The beach is within 5 to 10 mins walk and main road shops/restaurants within 1 minute. Surprisingly most balconies get the sun well into the afternoon as we found out one day when we didn't decide to go out -although the sun tends to disappear behind trees after around 4 or 5pm). The downstairs (larger) Studio consisted of two bedrooms - each with two single beds (with an option of a zed-bed in one room), a bathroom with shower, a kitchen and hallway. The kitchen comprised of a table and a couple of chairs, a kettle (not often found in Greek appartments!), a 3/4 size fridge and a mini combi hob and oven. As well as all cutlery and plates etc. The studio was cleaned every other day with bins emptied etc. My main area of complaint was the bathroom which could have done with a lick of paint and another light in the middle of the room as once dark the bath end of the room became a bit dark. Some things to remember to take when you go include 1)Insect repellent - as the Constantinos are located in an Olive grove there are plenty of Mosquitos flying around that are just waiting to get at your blood! and we found the plug in type very good and kept a lot of them at bay. 2) Toilet roll - take one to start you off (not sure whether we were just missed off) but upon arriving at 1am in the morning we had to wait until next morning to buy some loo roll! 3) Large towels - the Constantinos (like many other Greek appartments) only provide hand towels. I've waffled on here but hopefully this gives you a better idea of what the Constantinos are like. We certainly liked our stay there.
Very clean and well equipped apartment. We would definitely return there. Excellent setting. Quiet and peaceful, yet close to all amenities.
