Miltos Apartments

We have just returned from 2 weeks in the Miltos apartments and hAd a fabulous holiday. We were extremely concenred by comments we read in this site before we went away so were very pleasantly surprised by the location and studio. The apartments were basic but clean, Acharavi and the beach were only 10 minutes walk away. Initially there was no pavement heading towards Acharavi but we just crossed the road as there was plently room to walk at the other side and it was set back from the main road. We would happily go back to the Miltos Apartments.

I am actually staying at the Miltos apartments now with my family, and it is great. The long walk to the beach etc others have mentioned, is no more than 5 mins. The beaches are lovely, the accomodation is basic, but I believe all accommodation in Greece is. It is comfortable, and has everything we need. The food is good and cheap in the restaurants along the beach and in the actual resort of Acharavi. There is alot to do. My two daughters would highly recomend the paragliding only 28 euros for one person, and 45 for 2 people together. And I would definatly come back. Some of the comments earlier on this page really worried me, but I have been pleasently surprised.

I stayed at the Miltos apartments last year (2003) with my boyfriend and thought they were excellent value. The location was out of town which did mean a slight walk but it depends on how much you go walking I guess as to whether you would think it too far. For us, it wasn't far at all and even though it wasn't a 'proper road' to walk on close to the apartment, I could still wear my high heels! We had a lovely time - the whole holiday was fab - and we made full use of the pool next door on a daily basis although the beach is excellent too - and it gets busy! Apartments in greece aren't luxurious and as long as you are aware of that, you don't get any suprises. On a comparative scale, Miltos were a good choice for us! The only minor complaint I would have is the fact that there was no air con. At night after temps in the 40's my boyfriend found it difficult to sleep.

I found this site after I booked to take my family to the Miltos Apartments in August. I am dreading it now, after reading the comments. Is there a bus to get along this busy road to the shops etc?

I stayed here for the 1st two weeks of May 2004, the apartment itself was small but clean. Sadly the rooms were damp, as were the beds, probably due to not being aired off properly before the season starts. We were also not informed that if the sun doesn't shine you don't get any hot water, for the most part of my stay it rained, therefore no hot showers to be had. Very poor!! Needless to say I will not be returning.

Location on main road is c**p, as it is a very busy road and too far from the centre, it's a fair old trek. Owners were ok. Golden Sun are a bit c**p to be honest, the rep's we saw were only interested in selling! Well I know thats how they make their money, but hey, I wanna bit more than that! Acharavi itself is a delight; perfect beach, with the sea the warmest I have experienced anywhere, probably not the best looking beach! But definitely the best. Apple crumble (and their breakfast's) at Orpheus' is a top tip, along with moussaka just about anywhere! Watch out for the lovely Charlotte and Joe, wicked fun and usually seen chilling on the beach or partying on the main strip! Will be there again for the 1st 2 weeks in June 2004, an apartment on the beach, not at the Miltos (as someone else has said it's fine for a couple on a cheap week break, but no good for kids or atmosphere...) ;¬)

On edge of town and good walk into centre.
Towels and bed linen only changed once - in middle of week.
Not impressed by main road and the speed bad as overtaking compulsary.
£20 to extend stay from 12 noon kick out until 6.00pm to be picked up at 1am (Golden Sun problem)
Good pool at next apartment block.
Ideal for couple on a week's break. Get a late deal its cheaper.

Ideal for late deal and cheap - 1 week enough. Apartment basic but well kept and clean. No views from balcony as blocked by olive trees. Very noisey as main road busy and fast. No path for the last few hundard yards to apartments just a dirt track by side of road. Good walk into centre and not suitable stiletto shoes. Use of pool at next apartment block and good supermarket next door. Good 10 minute walk to beach. Got what we paid for.

We were back again this year at the miltos,what can we say it is our favourite place to stay.

We have been going to roda for a long time and stayed at a lot of studios.
The last few years we have been staying at the miltos and we love it,we find that it is in easy reach of roda and acharavi.
It is nice and quiet there and the owners are lovely people,and we are very happy to go back there.

WE STAYED AT MILTOS APPTS IN 2002 THE PEOPLE THAT OWNED THEM WERE PLEASANT AND THE APPTS VERY CLEAN LINEN AND BEDS CHANGED EVERY OTHER DAY BOOKED THROUGH GOLDEN SUN OK BUT DONT BOOK ON THERE TOURS MUCH TO EXSPENSIVE FIND A LOCAL TRAVEL AGENT AND YOU WILL GET A BETTER PRICE FOR SAME THING STAYING IN RODA THIS YEAR SINCE SPIROS SOLD THE CORFU STAR AND WE ARE MEETING UP WITH HIM AND HIS FAMILY IF ANYBODY HAS STAYED AT MAKIS STUDIOS IN RODA I WOULD BE GRATEFULL OF THERE COMMENTS
