Just arrived back from a fantastic relaxing week at the Lords Complex in corfu - Rula was amazing and such a hard worker - wonderful holiday, will return next year, so peaceful and abundance of relaxation and perfect site to get away from it all - not recommended if you are looking for bright lights and lots of loud music. it is what it is, a perfect get away relaxing and enjoying the surroundings, many taverns and restful night sleep. Unfortunately, left my reading glasses as too chilled out on last day, so now trying to contact Rula to keep safe as I will send Stamped addressed envelop for safe return.
if you want to book Lord complex there are many companies selling it or you can book direct with lord travel corfu.
We stayed at the lord complex in 2008 and loved it. We would love to go back but can't find out which holiday firm it is with now. Could anyone let me know who it is ?
HELP!!!!!!! I am trying to find a telephone number for the Lords Complex. St george, Corfu. We have had our flights cancelled due to the company going bust and cant find a phone number for the apartments to see if our accomodation is still booked. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
myself and nigel (partner) stayed at lord complex in june 08 - we loved it so much we returned in sept 09, to our amazement as soon as we got off our coach rula and simone recognised us and gave us the most amazing welcome...wow....what a fantastic way to start your holiday, the rooms are basic but are very clean and the staff who clean them are so lovely and friendly, nothing is ever to much trouble. The whole set up is brilliant, a fantastic pool which is exceptionally clean and just the perfect place to relax....in fact we spent more time around the pool than the beach, purely because there was no effort involved - you do not have to get up early to secure a sunbed, anytime time is good in this relaxed haven!! Also we got to know our fellow holidaymakers staying there and we all developed friendships and some of us are still in touch talking about a return this year!! Also i think its important to add that i personally feel that lords complex feels safe.... I would have no problem taking my 7yr old grandson there and am hoping to do so, there is not much for the kids as in amusements etc but i see that as a beauty of the place, back to basics for having fun, pool, beach, eating out and whatever amusement you come up with!! and i dont just mean the kids!! Last year we had particular fun evicting people from the pool...calling it the big brother pool etc etc!! Lastly...rula's place..what a diamond she and her place is...the food is brilliant, she looks after you like she known you for years and she is geniune, I recomend Lords Complex to everybody! especially if you just want to relax, unwind, and chillax...cos thats what this place is all about. If you go and stay there...these are the must haves...., rulas greek salad, pizza, and club sandwiches OMG they are so so good, then treat yourselves and go to rulas brothers restaurant in the evening, he does a mean grilled feta for a starter, oh its A1* then have stammna or stifado for main ....both are the best on the whole island... more than A1****** Cant wait till im back to see rula and co again xx
stayed for one week with my girl friend just came bak today. we miss it very much. we had a very nice warm welcome from rulla, simona and bella. every thing there by the poolside was great value for money, we love the english breakfast, the pizza. the pool was great, got a nice tan at the end. the beach is close by. quads bikes watersport are there, boat trips wed, thurs, shops everything there in walking distance. rooms were basic, we didnt have no problems.. i will definetly recomend for couples going out there to relax. its the most peacefull place on earth. my girlfriend misses bella the dog. very clever dog. all in all GREAT. hope u guys are well at lord complex miss u guys thank u for your hospitality.
went to lord complex may 07 with family. had a great time. rula made us very welcome. met some lovely people. {sara and kim}. the retreat was good for a sing song in the evenings with george and spiros. good meals at the balcony. quad biking is a must. kids loved it. if you you want a relaxing holiday try st george south. everyone friendly. taking the rest of family in july 09.now all i got to do is find a travel agent to get us there?
I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Lord Complex and recommend it for families and couples who are not out for clubbing etc. Very close to gorgeous beaches. Nice Tavernas serving reasonably priced food. Also some pretty good restaurants as well. It is worth a walk up the hill to Argirades to expeience a real old Greek village with tiny narrow streets and friendly people. Also good is a walk right along the sea front down to Lake Korisson. Fabulous for bird life. There are jet-ski places on the beach, you can hire quad bikes etc and goodness knows what the guy below saw but there are miles of golden sandy beach. Only one small section of rocky beach but that is also great for swimming and exploring the rock pools if you want some time away from the crowds who lie on the sun beds on the sand. Two sun-beds and a parasol cost 6 euros a day to hire. The trip to Corfu town was great. The only thiong was you had to leave at 9.30pm which was really when the place began to really get going. Lots of great restaurants and fascinating buildings and beautiful narrow streets and glorious views of the bay looking across to the Albanian coast.
This is just in case anybody reads what the guy below wrote about St George calling the beach appaling. He was only in the resort for 4 hours, St George has a beautiful long sandy beach steches a few miles. The people in the resort are amazing a really do make your holiday and look after you. The variety of accommodation is vast and there should be somewhere for any budget. You should visit the Balcony restarant where there is excellent choice of food english and local dishes, dimitris and kostas will take care of you. I have been coming here for sixteen years and yes i have been to many others places across the world. I now reguard this as a second home and love it. I would say it is more of a place for family's and couples. If you want to spend your holiday constantly in a bar consuming alchhol then go to Kavos. I hope this helps anybody considering having a holiday in St George.

Hello
Hello
can you help, anyone, stayed at the Lord Complex last year. Loved the holiday, and want to go again. However, can't seem to find the tour operator dealing with the complex. many thanks
Apalling is the word that springs to mind. Went with four mates on the promise that the resort was a bit lively and not far from the bright lights of Kavos. In fact, St George is deader than a Dodo, and an hour in a taxi from Kavos. Had a good wander round the town in the 4 hours before we managed to get transferred to Kavos, and I really wasn't impressed. I think the people who write reviews on here have never been on holiday anywhere else because I've been to far, far nicer places with my family. The beach at St George is APPALING. There's only one sandy beach and it's only about 200 yards long. And that's it - the rest is all rocks. Go to the Costa Del Sol if you want a nice beach holiday. Apart from the terrible beach there's not a lot to do apart from laze by the pool. Which is tiny. Might be OK for very young kids, but it's nowhere near big enough to swim in. The grounds were grotty too - dog crap everywhere and pretty badly maintained. The room was sub-standard. We had a 2 bedroom 'apartment'. This comprised of two bedrooms with ceiling fans, and the worst bathroom in the world - the bath was too small to sit in but too low to stand in and the whole place was pretty grubby. Working lightbulbs were a rare treat. Other than your beds there was nowhere to sit down. Probably to make you eat at the over-priced pool bar! Overall, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES go there for a 'lads' or 'girls' holiday. I wouldn't go there with my family either. The resort was shocking and the hotel wasn't much better. If you do decide to go, don't pay more than £100. Go to Fuengirola or Torremolinos in the Costa Del Sol for a nice family holiday. Or go to Kavos or Ibiza for a lads holiday!
it was our first time in corfu when we went july 05 and althought the island was something of a disa pointment the weather was fantastic, and the apartments were adaquate, roula the owner is a wonderful lady and nothing is to much trouble for her, i advise takeing an extra 40 euros for the air conditioning as without it it is impossible to sleep at night..the pool is nice and clean and the bar also does food witch is very delicious and quite reasonably priced..if you have young children it is a good place to stay..although older kids may find it a bit to quiet and out of the way...
Does anyone have a contact number for Lords Complex please? Thanks Cheryl
I have been going to Lords Complex every summer now for the past 5 years. Roula (the owner) makes the holiday much more enjoyable and is a lovely, friendly woman. The food at the pool bar is fantastic! looking forward to going again this year!!
i went to the lord complex this year back in july 04 with a friend and my family. i really enjoyed the stay and Rula (the owner) was lovely. The pool was an ok size and the food at the pool side bar was delisious! The lady that cleaned the appartments was the highlight for me and my friend every morning she was so funny. although i never found out her name! it was a fairly quiet complex but about a 15 minute walk brought you into the town. There was an averege sized beach and there were quite a few bars (with very tasty bar men!!) and resturants which looked over the sea. You can hire quad bikes which is a good laugh, and you get to travel the island and see some amazing veiws. i had the best holiday of my life there but i suppose its what your in to! hope some of this information has been useful. Really disappointed, can you please assure us that other Greek Islands are not like this. Dirty, littered, disorganised & British orientated. All restaurants did same food, just priced differently. Most bars had sky TV with football or pirate movies showing. Where are 'authentic' Greek Islands?
The usual bare essentials. Very friendly staff. Pool bar well stocked, I thought a bit expensive but par for the resort. 1.50euro (£1) for a soft drink and 2euro for ice creams. menu mostly chips, nuggets, frozen food type, but greek salad 4.50 euro. Sheets were not changed every 2 days as promised. Children loved it as they could swim at night with the pool lights on. At the quiet end of town. Minimarket near and a travel agency (stork) who cash travellers cheques. The would do it at the pool bar as well.
The apartments are of a decent standard, which is why many of the guests return year after year. It would be advisable to take with you spare towels, a floor cloth for the shower-room and a torch;the road to the complex is not illuminated, but safe. The staff and the Argo rep, Jill are all first class
