Two beaches are available,we went to the eastern one, issos I think. One rep said there was a dangerous undertow another said not. It did seem as if there might be one, they have a lifeguard area. This beach was really littered, bins only at the nearest end, so if you want quiet, expect rubbish. Sunbeds are 3euro each.
The usual bare essentials. Very friendly staff. Pool bar well stocked, I thought a bit expensive but par for the resort. 1.50euro (£1) for a soft drink and 2euro for ice creams. menu mostly chips, nuggets, frozen food type, but greek salad 4.50 euro. Sheets were not changed every 2 days as promised. Children loved it as they could swim at night with the pool lights on. At the quiet end of town. Minimarket near and a travel agency (stork) who cash travellers cheques. The would do it at the pool bar as well.
We did the combined Parga and Paxos trip. Very early start.34euro but children free. The boat was too crowded difficult to find seats and keep them. Some refreshments available. The 2hrs at Parga turned into 1h45 hard to get lunch and swim in such a short time. Expensive restaurants on the front. Treat it as a shopping trip, the town beach was very crowded and it was not easy to swim. Two more hours on the boat, again not comfortable. Paxos was more of the same. Then 2 1/2hrs back to corfu, then 1hr45on the bus back to st george a bit too much like commuting.
See Parga trip, we did the combined one.
Very touristy, but still good. Grilled lamb chops excellent but the lamb kleftiko had tinned peas and carrots in it.Souvlaki and calamari were good. Large portions too much for children. Childrens play area available, in the end we would feed them a light tea, go to the restaurant let them play and eat by ourselves. Greek dancing once a week, very reserved.
Lovely setting, pavilions on the sea. Proper chiken soup, good calamari and souvlaki, but the best dish was various fried fishes (11euro)
