click to enlargeclick to enlarge we had a lovely time here in june/july 2008,the apartments are quite large  and clean, they cleaned and replaced towles regularly, the young girl behind the bar was very helpful and did a great greek salad! (compaired to the calipso bar wich were half the size and twice the cost) all the  bar snacks were good , and the drinks, wish it didnt close about 6ish?!?.it was an ideal place to stay as there are eating places and stores minutes away,a bit of a trude to the  bottom of the hill at mid day,(take bottled water, everywhere, it gets so hot!!) but the views..WOW!!!!!!!!!, and lots of places to stop off for a drink..or two...and again the veiws..WOW..we will definatly be going back, quiet , relaxing , and stunning....and jimmys bar isnt that noisey, you hardly know its there... the picture's were taken 5 mins walk away..wow.. the only down side..traveling with AIR MALTA..be warned..DONT FLY WITH THEM !!..the return flight ruined our holiday, they dumped a whole fight in vennice at 9 in the morning sat till 3 inthe morning sunday,PLUS LATE GOING TO CORFU AND 3 HOURS LATE COMING BACK THATS BEFORE THEY DUMPED US!... with no rep from kosmar, unbelivable!!!!!!!

Wonderful time stayed for one week in October 2005. Apartment was spacious, clean, quiet, and a lovely view from the balcony, even on the ground floor.

The pool was excellent, again very clean and as there are only 10 studios sun loungers were freely available, in fact we had the pool completely to ourselves most of the time! The pool bar had closed for the season the week before we arrived but it was no bother to pop into the apartment and fetch snacks and bottles of Mythos from the fridge!

Jimmys Bar is now called the Cactus Bar and was not "noisy" at all, you could listen to the music from out on the balcony but inside the room was perfectly quiet with the doors closed... which they would need to be anyway unless you want to be eaten alive by the mozzies! We didnt need it in October but there is an option for air conditioning in the rooms for 5 Euros a day.

Nearest supermarket was 2 minutes, would recommend eating at the Oasis which was also 2 minutes, or the Belvedere which was about 15 minutes walk. The nearest beach was about 10 minutes away and the main beach and harbour were a pleasant 1/2 hour stroll.

Car hire was 28 Euros from Michelas Travel, and we would recomend driving to the Kaisers Throne, Pantakrator, and some of the numerous little villages full of charm and character. A bus trip to Corfu Town is also a must, plenty to do there and excellent for shopping.

Paleokastritsa is the most attractive resort I have ever stayed in and would love to go back again some day, alltogether a big thumbs up!

We stayed there in September 2004. The studios themselves are extremely basic (although the kettle was a bonus!) and they were only "cleaned" three times in a two week stay. I couldn't help but feel disappointed - with just a few easy touches the accomodation could have been much more comfortable and attractive. Views from the ground floor apartments are pretty much wiped out by the huge palms within six feet of the veranda.

The location is okay, a fair half hour walk to Paleo (a really lovely resort) with beaches on the way. There are two tavernas, a couple of bars and a supermarket within three or four minutes' walk.

It is close to the road so expect some traffic noise at all hours, as well as the attendant cockerel who seemed extremely confused about times.

One big plus is the swimming pool, which is a decent size and in a lovely position. The Kosmar rep was really helpful, but the skeleton staff at the studios were hopelessly overstretched.

Visited July 2004 with some concern about proximity to Jimmy's Bar (referred to in previous posting). Jimmy's Bar is still there, still late and on some nights (especially the night when Greece won Euro 2004!) quite loud. However - this year the studios have been provided with air conditioning (optional - 5 Euros per night) and with the doors closed, air conditioning on, there was no noise problem. All other favourable features continue and we were very pleased with the accommodation and setting, especially the several nearby tavernas offering very good value meals.

We arrived late afternoon monday 15th September 2003, we were very impressed with our apartment which was bright and clean and had a large private balcony with a sea view. There was a very steep driveway down to the site but there were also steps to use. The pool was a good size and the pool bar was clean and served drinks and snacks. There were lots of sunbeds and always some spare. It was our second choice as our first choice in the brochure said there could be some noise from the bar and we wanted a peaceful holiday. If there was a five star guide for basic it would come top of the list. Unfortunately there was one BIG downfall!!! on the other side of the road was "Jimmy's Bar" which played very loud music from 11pm until it decided to close, the worst night I think it was 4am. So if you take a good set of ear plugs or you are a very heavy sleeper go for it.
