My family and I have been to Paleo and few times and now and my children love it there. Some friends came with us in August 2013 and we all stayed in Ilios together which was great as we could all be together and you had no one else staying above or next door to you, you had it all to yourselves. Me and my husband stayed here years ago and Ilios apartments have changed a lot since then they have been renovated and updated they are very nice and comfortable, clean and the owners are so lovely and they also come and make sure everything is ok, and they are the friendlies people I have ever met.
We like staying in this part of Paleo as it is still quiet and not as busy as it would be if you were to stay near the harbour. You have everything you need to shops to get your supplies lovely restaurants and swimming pool right next door which takes you a couple of minutes to get to or another swimming pool up the road. we love coming to stay here and all the people are so friendly and accommodating we are always very sad when we have to leave. My children are getting older now but they still want to come back and see all the lovley people we have met and made friends with in paleo.
I would recommend you stay at Ilios as it is perfect, all you ask for when you go away is friendly people, clean and nice accommodation and relaxing and inviting place which Ilios provides.
Our second time back to the illios appartments yet again for a two week stay! thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation, and proximity to bars, pools, and taverna's. Akrotiri beach a short walk away but worth it.
Hi, I am somewhat confused about the other review of the Ilios Apartments.
We have just come back from our 2 week holiday in Corfu (we stayed 1 week in the Ilios). The ilios apartments in Paleokastritsa are no-where near the sea - you certainly can't see it from the veranda.
The apartments are on the outskirts of Paleokastritsa and are sited just off the main road into town. So if its peace and quiet you want...forget it. The noise of the local youths bazzing up and down the road on their various scooters and motorbikes until the small hours should be enough to keep you awake.
If you manage to sleep through the traffic noise then the sound of Jimmys bar kicking off on Wednesday night is enough to wake the dead.
Wednesday night is karoake night so if you like the melodic sound of drunken British tourists belting out "Delila" at 2.30 am then this is the place.
The noise was so bad we asked to be moved, we ended up in the Olive Grove apartments- slightly more expensive - but very quiet.
Are these studios situated up a steep hill ?
Where is the nearest pool to the apartments ?
Thankyou.
These studios were perfect for a relaxing holiday. You had plenty of privacy but still close enough to walk into town. There is a gorgous view of the sea from the patio and plenty of fresh air from being set back into the mountainside. The beach was a short walk away as were plenty of bars, shops and resturants.
