Been holidaying in Sidari twice a year for the last 6 years, have been fed and watered in many of the Bars and restaurants but nothing can compare with the food and fun offered at Boleros. Try it you will not be disappointed.
Sidari is a fabulous resort. The beaches are not fantastic but clean enough, with plenty off activities going on. If you dont like the beach there are plenty off pools around, and you can use any of them even if not staying at that accommodation. We have been going two/three times a year since 2000, for the last couple of years the PR's outside some of the bars were a huge problem and put a lot of people off going back, but whilst we were there last year there was a big meeting with the bar owners and the council and it was agreed to scale down on them. This made hell of a difference and once again it was a treat walking down the main street at night, and not feel that you have to go in. Food in Sidari is so reasonably priced, no point in cooking yourself. Best bar we have found is Boleros in the main street, you will be made soooooo welcome there I always feel very safe in Sidari, my husband and I can often be found wandering home along the beach at 2am. I wouldnt walk down my own street at home at night time. We have visited other Greek resorts/island but never felt truly comfortable. Try Sidari I am sure you wont be disappointed.
sad to say that our three week holiday in Sidari ended on Tuesday. But it was fanastic, were in Boleros almost every night, had a great night every time. Lots of love and thanks to Sam, George, Mathew, Kev and Sarah for making sure we had a great time. Sarah have a great time when your mum, dad and brother come out, I know how much you are looking forward to seeing them. Have already made two bookings to come back in 2007 so until the take care all of you. Love Martin and Sue.
Got back from another fabulous week in Sidari last night.
arrived back from Aphrodite yesterday, first time we have every stopped there, even though we have been to Sidari two or three times every year for the past six years, it was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC so fantastic that we have booked to go back twice next year. Regarding wheelchair access, there was a lady in a wheelchair staying there. There is a ramp into the reception area and providing you are allocated a room on the ground floor of the hotel there should be no problem. You can ring the hotel direct on 0030 26630 95247. Everyone speaks perfect English so you will have no problems. We stayed in a room overlooking the main street, could not beleive how quiet it was at night even though there was night club over the road, which was going on until 6am. I am sure you will enjoy your stay. Want to say hi to Ericka, Yanni, Lesley, Holly and all the rest of the staff there, who made our stay so great,
Just want to say have a great winter to all the guys from Boleros, especially these two
ooopps pressed the wrong button:
Hi Sarah, you lucky thing, its freezing here, I should stay out there as long as poss if I were you. You didn't answer my text last week (no credit again I suppose) when I asked if you would be back next year, well your last e.mail tell me you are so thats fantastic Boleros would not be the same without its usual group of employees, as its you guy that make all us regulars come back again and again and again. Dont forget to let me know when you get back and we will sort something out for you to come for a visit, its a long time til July. Was looking at the photos the other day of us at the festival, all that roast lamb on the spit, never forget it or our meal at sunset beach, he he he!!
Sidiar is a fantastic place to take a holiday whether its for singles or families, you will find something for everyone. Plenty of places to eat, the kebab house is open until 6am, so when you crawl out the bars at 3am you can still get something to eat, and the kebabs are to die for not like the ones here and really cheap.
Yes Mathew is now running a pool bar at St. Spiridon Beach. Went to see him in July and he looked so happy. The place is like paradise, and very classy, we spent most of the day with him, just eating, drinking , lazing around the pool. We went with Sarah and George from Boleros, it wasn't long before George was having a go behind the bar and it was so funny that Mathew was having to take orders from Sarah after all her years working for him at Boleros.
just returned from another fantastic stay at the Aphrodite hotel, which is now
I would highly recomment the Aphrodite hotel, its just a few doors down from Bolero. We have stayed there many times and are going back for two weeks in September, if you go on to the Sidari Hotels website I have put some comments there and also contact numbers. They will arrange a taxi from the airport and the people are really nice there. The pool and pool bar are right on the beach and if you go to Boleros at night its only a few paces home. Good luck.
Hi to everyone at Boleros, just want to wish you good luck for the 2009 season which will start shortly. Hope you all have had a good winter and cant wait to return in September.
