Sani Corfu Apartments - (Accommodation in Sidari)

Kay S

We stayed at the Sani (Sunny as they will be known in the Thomson's brochure next year) from 27 September 2002 for 1 week. Absolutely fantastic brand new apartments, Anna and Angelo brilliant hosts and really made everybody feel extremely welcome - their Greek night with the delicious food and dancing was fabulous. Would recommend this place to anyone. Missing them and Sidari already.

The Rose Garden - (Restaurants in Sidari)

Ate here a few times. The rack of ribs was enormous and the meal had to come on 2 plates. Chicken with garlic sauce delicious also the spicy chicken was hot but very nice. Staff really friendly and go out of their way to make you welcome.

Absolutely fantastic brand new apartments, Anna, Angelo and Elena brilliant hosts and really made everybody feel extremely welcome - their Greek night with the delicious food and dancing was fabulous. Would recommend this place to anyone, nice location not to far from the life and joys of Sidari (5-10 mins walk) but in a pleasant peaceful location not far from the Canal d'Amour end of town, beach 5 minutes walk away and some lovely restaurants nearby. Missing them and Sidari already.

Symposia - (Restaurants in Sidari)

We had our evening meal here in Sidari.....we were totally fed up with chips...luckily the chef here doesn't cook them. We had the Captains steak which was fillet steak with a lovely tomato and garlic sauce with prawns on top...delicious but not enough....next year make the portions bigger.

TUI - (Tour Operators on Corfu)

Only complaint about this holiday was the airport, total nightmare due to Thomsons picking us up far too early for our flight home. We were collected at 16.15 for our 20.30 flight home...arrived at the airport at 17.15, no check in desk open and had to wait around for nearly an hour.....was not best pleased. Corfu we loved and will definitely return. Enjoyed the island tour and the delicious walnut cake at Bella Vista - a must.

Coach trip around the island - (Corfu Excursions)

Kay S

Went on the North Island tour from Sidari through Kassiopi (look a nice place), Gouvia, to Corfu town to watch the planes arrive and see Mouse Island. Achillion Palace lovely place (James Bond's For Your Eyes Only was filmed here when it was a casino. Went to the Kumquat factory and tried the cherry brandy and various other liqueurs. Then to Palekostrista for our lunch at the Rock with wonderful views over the blue lagoon. Up to the monastery and then to Bella Vista for the wonderful scrumpcious walnut cake. A extremely long day but well worth it.

September - (Best Time to Visit)

Kay S

We arrived on 27 September 2002 to be told that they'd had rain most of the week before. Woke up the next morning to floods, thunderstorms and powercut. By Sunday lunchtime (29 Sept) though it cleared up and the sun came out for the rest of the day. The rest of the week was brill apart from the wind on the Tuesday (1st Oct) (it was still sunny though). Wednesday was lovely and hot (shame we was on the island tour), Thursday a bit cooler and Friday (4th Oct) was a lovely day to top up the tan before coming home that night. Cold at nights - you need a cardigan/jacket.

Lovely place something to do each night. Highly recommend staying at the Sani Corfu Hotel/Apartments (known as the Sunny now). Anna, Angelo and Elena are so welcoming and good luck to them in the future, will definitely return to see them. Try Engleys, Symposiu, Rose Garden and Spiros kebabs - delicious food.
