For Amy...just got back from Dassia after my stay in the Mirrabello...It was very nice and you could get airconditioning for a fee of 50 euros a week per room. We also like tranitional greek tavernas so i reccomend Casas which is at the far end at the bottom of the huge hill turn right and keep walking...also axexandros..? i think it was called next door to the shop that sells products made from olive wood...also the big hill can be avoided....if you go through the gate at the left hand side of the appartments its white and far away from the pool it is a less steep hill then you will see a little terverna that sells exelent food called alexandros (again)!....or something...anyhow i hope you enjoy your stay! The pizzaria above the super market is delicious if you fancy a change and we had some ok meals at kirkis....but avoid yannys its further up our hill and not very nice! i hope i have been some use!....my email is jennifercross@fsmail.net if you need anymore info! x
i've been the mirabello 3 times... the family whop own there are great and really nice... an the pool is nice an clean... the veiw is excellent... i liked it very much an look forward to going there next year... the only problem is the dreaded hill... but i surpose its not ther fault... .... soo anywayss... yer i think this place is a amazing place... an its located jus up the hill from the supermarket, entertainment bar (arcade, bar, resturaunt), beach and other shops and restuaruants... i really would reccomend you to go to the mirabello studios an i know for sure you will have a nice stay.. just remember to bring your sun lotion at summer.. coz it gets preety hot.. haha... byeee..xxx <-- that picture is from when i was there bit off a bad picture but.. i was in mirabello studios when it was took... xxxx
I think staying at the Mirabello Apartments was one of the best holidays I have ever expierienced, I have visited it there twice and both time there had been new things to try and new people to meet. People who my family still talk to and are going back there with them on the 28th July this year. I reccomend the mirabello to families looking for a truly amazing holiday.
We stayed at Mirabello in July/August 2005.
When we first arrived and were told we were stayin on summat called cardiac hill we were mortified
Having just returned from Corfu over an hour ago i thought it would only be fair if i gave some people some information on the apartments and the resort of Dassia. Upon arriving in Corfu it looks like a rather dirty and unclean town, howevr do not panic it is not as bad as first impressions may seem. Dassia has a pebbled beach which is not bad but can be rather painful walking on with bare feet. Not that im a wimp or anything LOL! As far as restraunts and tavernas are concerned their isnt many, well not many that look that great to my eye anyway, I spent most of my nights eating out in Mythos, the Dragons Garden (chinesevery nice)which is next door to Mythos and finally Great Shakes, a pub run by brits(they have a website if u want to search for Great Shakes Dassia on google)which was really nice and welcoming too. Dassia is certainly not a lively area it is really really quiet so much so that even myself and my girlfriend were shocked and we prefer OAP holidays even though we are 19. The weather is strange, the sun doesnt usually shine until 11.45 but it does last until 6 and when it shines you are guaranteed a good colour (i know u must be a tan fan) Although the sun shines, please remember this resort is a wet island and out of the 14 days i spent in Corfu, 3 of them were overcast or rain. So try and check the weather and go to Corfu town during these days, the square their has many great shops, traditional and trendy....Lacoste, Billabong etc.

We have had our accomodation changed to the Mirabello Apartments , travelling in August and I was wondering if there is air conditioning in the rooms, it is not mentioned in the brochure. Also if anyone has any recommendations for traditional Greek tavernas nearby that would be appreciated.

what are the mirebbello apartments like. goin end of july - hoping it will be very hot. any quiet pub like places to eat and drink near the sea?
WE STAYED AT THE MIRABELLO IN SEPTEMBER 2003,
THE ACCOMMODATION IS DATED (60'S) THERE WERE CIGARETTE BUDS, USED PLASTERS AND HAIR IN ONE OF THE DRAWS. THE SWIMMING POOL WAS ONE MASS OF SUN OIL AND THE SUN BEDS WERE OLD AND BROKEN, NOT A GREAT PLACE TO SEND A TRAVEL AGENT, I WON'T BE RECOMMENDING IT TO ANY OF MY CLIENTS.
THE ONLY UP SIDE WAS IT IS QUIET (APART FROM THE MUSIC FROM A CLUB SOMEWHERE IN DASSIA THAT NOONE COULD FIND!)THE VIEWS AND THEIR SWEET LITTLE YAPPIE DOG (HE DOESN'T BARK PROPERLY)
THE HILL! ITS A GOOD 10 MINUTE WALK CONSTANTLY GOING UP HILL.
THE BEACH IS GREAT. TONNES OF WATER SPORTS. A FEW BARS AND THE MALIBU BEACH BAR. ITS GOT A SPOTLESSLY CLEAN POOL, SUN LOUNGERS AND A BAR, SUN LOUNGERS ARE ON THE BEACH AND ROUND THE POOL. IT ONLY COST 3 EUROS AND WORTH IT.
IF I WAS TO GO BACK ID STAY AT ONE OF THE CHANDRIS HOTELS. THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT LOCATION AND LOOK UP TO A GOOD STANDARD.
HAVE FUN IN DASSIA
me and my boyfriend are going to stay at the mirobello on July 4 and we was wondering if it is a place for young adults up for fun or a quite family place??
we are going to mirabello apts in july can anyone tell me if it is too lively too quiet or what as we have to teenage girls we have to try an keep happy
Could anyone tell me if the Mirabello is OK for kids.
I will be going in July and the child will be 13 and wondered if the apartments are for best suited for families or groups of lads/girls.
Cheers!
WE STAYED AT THE MIRABELLLO STUDIS FOR ONE WEEK AT THE END OF MAY 2002, IT WAS BRILLIANT! THE OWNERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND BECAUSE IT IS A FAMILY RUN PROPERTY THEY TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN KEEPING IT CLEAN AND TIDY. THE POOL WAS ALWAYS CLEAN TOO. WE WALKED INTO DASSIA CENTRE EVERY DAY, AND WE WENT TO THIS ITALIAN RESTAURANT EVERY NITE, IT WAS REALLY GOOD!THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THE PROPERTY WAS THAT IT IS ON A VERY STEEP HILL, AND WHEN YOU HAVE TO WALK UP IT EVERY DAY FOR A WEKK IT GETS TIRESOME!! ITS WORTH IT THOUGH!
Have stayed at Mirabella Dasia twice found it very good nice pool Clean rooms and very good owners, friendly family run.Could be a problem if noisy people above but did not have this problem at all.The one draw back is steep walk from main road to it but can take back road which is longer but more friendly on the legs.Food and service good on site but plenty of good eating places and bars within easy reach. Tip shop on way to main road sells home made wine at silly price about fifty pence for a litre own bottle, excellent. Can be very hot in June.No air conditioning but fans available but get in quick.
Would be grateful of any information on the apartments or the surrounding areas and things to do
havent been yet, but we are going on the 4th of July, and would similarily like some information. or to know anyone who is going at the same time.
could you let me know what it was like the best places to go we are going there in september thanks for any help
