Horizon Hotel

Accommodation in Arillas

David L

We are flying out to Corfu staying again at the Horizon Hotel in Arilas on the 07th of August 2006

We were there 2 years ago, my first time, my partner Jackie's 23rd or 24th time in Corfu.

Have to say it's the only place in my life that i wanted to return to, such a brilliant and welcoming place as Arilas and the 'Horizon'.

Give our love to Marinos at the appartments, as well as Yiannis and Litsa at the 'Thallassa' restaurant, including 'Charlee' the dog........

See you all in about a week,

Trust us, we are counting the days until we return.......

Just back from the Horizon Hotel and had a great time the hotel is spotless, food great and Marinos, Maria and staff very helpful.   We had a lovely relaxing time with great views and although it was the end of the season only 1 week left to go it was just what we need to re-charge or batteries before the winter cold in Scotland.   Will be back with some friends soon.

Hi fellow corfu lovers! I have been back home now for two days and its horrible weather I stayed at the Horizon hotel with some family memebers for two weeks ( Mon-11 - Mon-25 ) and loved every moment. Marinos and all of his staff were very hospitible and full of energy although i didnt seem very energetic proped up against the bar after having consumed enough vodka to put an ox out! I have been going to Arilas for many years and went back for the first time in five years, so it was great to see every one again. There are alot of new faces and a few new establishments, I loved Thalassa restaurant which is ran by Yani and Lita who are just the nicest people ever!

I have always wanted to live and work in Arilas and hopefully will do so next year, im not affraid of hard work and long hours so i think i will fit in just fine. Alot of Brits think that living in Corfu would be one big holiday but its not true, a normal shift would probably be about 12 - 14 hours 6 days a week for 6 months! and in the winter there is not much to do but im prepared for a dramatic change and am adaptable to new surroundings, ok im babbling on a bit now!

Any one thinking of staying in Arilas I would strongly recommend The Horizon Hotel purley because its so clean, everyone is so friendly, the food is great and most of all the beach is on your door step!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Stayed at the Horizon Hotel from the 16th - 30th August and had a great time. The Hotel is so clean, the food was excellent - better than any of the other restaurants in Arias, and everyone who worked there was so friendly. If you stay in Arilas you need to stay at the Horizon Hotel. Pool is really nice and clean and you are literally 30 seconds from the lovely beach.

Have spent our first holiday to Corfu at the Horizon Hotel. Beautiful, spotlessly clean accommodation, beautiful food, beautiful pool and just across the road from the sea, but most of all beautiful people. The welcome was very warm from everyone, we were looked after very well and felt totally at home - wish it was! we will be returning.

I would like to find out how I can go about booking this hotel for a holiday in 2004. Are there any pictures you can direct me to?
Thanks
Caroline

Just back from a week in this lovely hotel and had a brilliant time. What can I say! Staff were SO friendly, facilities were wonderful and the whole atmosphere of the Hotel is one of relaxation & friendliness. Spotlessly clean and the most wonderful location. Beautiful views, quiet but within easy access of noise (if that's what you want!). No complaints. Just praise for a lovely place.

Brand new for 2002! By Greek standards, this is 5* accomodation - the beds are king size, all the rooms have balcony's and sea views (amazing sunsets every night in the summer over the cape of Agios Giorgos). Some rooms even have an additional off-shoot room with a sofa bed for lounging on, or putting an extra person up... The "kitchenette" is superb (in fact, I wouldn't mind the same thing in my kitchen back home!) - all mod cons.

The hotel is only 2 storeys high, and has both spacious lift and stair options, and is good for disabled access. Only foreseeable problem for wheelchair users could be that the initial ramp up to the bar area is a bit steep, although I'm sure the staff would happily provide a tow. :o)

You can literally fall out of the hotel and onto the beach, unless you choose to fall into the pool which is right on the doorstep! The bar and restaurant are based outside, although there is an inside option too, should you get cold (in Corfu? Yeah righty!).

Although the bar stays open til the last person leaves, it's not noisy, as the vibe at night is more jazz than dance. The town centre is about a 5-10 minute walk away and the noise from there doesn't travel.

Next door (about a 10 metre walk) is the supermarket - selling everything you could possibly need from food through to souvenirs(although lacking in bottle openers the week we were there!).

The food is great, the staff are friendly, and the showers are power!

What more could you want!
