hi me and my friend are going to kavos for 2 weeks from 28 june, and are staying in the anthony apartments. we are really worried now after reading them comments, is it that bad? is there anyone who had a good time there, or am i just holding out false hope? we wont be staying in the apartments much like, just 2 sleep and that, but i am worried about the owners and getting my stuff nicked. is it a pure s**thole? if any one can comment on this, please do.
I've just come back from Kavos, and I didn't stay in the Agnes hotel, but some friends of mine did so I spent most of my time there. The apartments are basic, but you have everything you need. The pool is brilliant, and you can just pop out to the jetty anytime as it is right next to the beach. Spiros the barman was a good laugh, and the reps were helpful with us, including me even though I didn't go with 2wentys. It's in a good location, and would recommend it to anyone going there. I am going back next year and will defo go with 2wentys!
Hi Charlotte here again. Just come back from Kavos, and we absolutle loved it, hated to leave. Definetly a good party place, will be going back next year. When we arrived at the apartments, from the outside they looked like a dump. But when you get inside, it's OK. Very clean and basic (2 beds, wardrobe, loo shower etc). I was so relieved, especially after reading the comments, as I expected a dump. The rooms are just like what you'd get anywhere else, don't expect luxury. You have everything you need there, is no different from other apartments we saw. Don't know why Steff (below) had a problem, the owners were fine with us (all I have to say is that if her mate was attacked, it was obviously provoked). Only prob we had with apartment is that the balcony doors are hard to open and close, and I smashed one on the last day by slamming it so hard (had to pay 100 euros). The Blue Sea is about 100 metres away, easy to find. t's nice there, has a TV and Playstation and a nice pool, although the female staff can't sperak a word of English. Olympic are good to go with. Our rep, Glen, was really nice and helpful. One last word of advice if you are going here, if you want to book an excursion trip, you will see travel companies do them for about 10 euros cheaper than what your holiday company do. But book with your holiday company, they take better care of you. We went on a BBQ cruise with a ttravel company, and the Olympic people were there too. We got seperate BBQ food to them, and ours was minging, only had chicken and cucumbers, whereas the Olympic people's looked delicous. I would recommend the apartments, as, even though they are basic, they have all you need in a great location.
The food in the Golden Fleece was absouletely delicous! Couldn't get enough of it, and the PR lad was really fit. One big prob though, there were 3 waiters who constantly stared at me and my mate while we were eating (this happened twice when we went there). It put us right off our food, which is a shame as it was so nice! Honestly, the hole time they kept staring. When we asked what was up they shrugged and looked away, but then stared again later. Next time we went we told the PR this, and he told them to stop, which they did (thank God) and we went back loads. Do go here, it's very nice, but the waitewrs are totally weird (we laughed about it though!)
Are you people mad??? Penny's kitchen was awful! The drinks werre warm, the services was slow as hell, and there was this offer of 3 courses for 8.5 euros, but you had to pick of a specific menu. Me and mty mate decided to have things off this menu and pay full price. The waitress said she'd let us off and we could have it for 8.5 euros, but when she brought us the bill she charged us full price anyway! The main course was mining and undercooked, and I asked for cheescake for dessert while my mate asked fr crepes. They didn't have any cheesecake, so she brought 2 plates of crepes without even asking me what I wanted (I hate crepes). Please do not go here unless you wat to be put in a bad mood and have food poisoning.
Lovely food, great service and good value for money. Defo go here!
Loved 42nd Street, Dave the DJ was great, the staff got to know us well, the drinks were cheap but not minging. Was the best bar in Kavos, am going again next year!
