Going there on Mon. Is it really that bad???
My mum and sister are there at the moment and really like the hotel. They said the choice of food is good and it is nice. Their room is a bit noisy as it is above the bar area but it is bearable.Location is excellent too.
British food done badly.
Fantastic. Good food and plenty to choose from. Service was good and staff were friendly. Staff burst into greek dancing, plate throwing and fire danceing every so often. It's really good. A must in Sidari.
Great breakfasts. Well priced.
I can answer my own question now because i have been!! The apartments themselves were ok. Basic but ok. They weren't cleaned too frequenly though which isn't nice when you consider the bin overflowing with loo roll!! Nor were the cleaners very thorough. They provide sheets and towels but don't change them. It is family run and they are friendly but be warned it is quite a way out of town. We ended up hiring a scooter for whole week just to get to and from town. You have use of pool at Olive Grove but even that is a good 5 mins walk away.
I didn't stay at Mimosa myself but spent a lot of time there as my mum and sister were staying there and my apartment was a bit far out. I think it is a good hotel .It is claean and staff are friendly and helpful. My mum and sister wanted to change rooms because it was noisy and this was dne as soon as a new room was available. It had 2 big pools both of which were very clean and checked regularly. The drinks were cheap there if you ocmpared them to many of the other bars and the happy hour was a genuine buy one get one free. People moaned about the food but you got a choice of 3 plus a kids menu each day. What more can you expect for £500 a week. The ritz? You did have to pay for air conditioning but at least it was available. They did turn the water off in the day which wasn't the best and made the communal toilets disgusting but that was really the only problem apart from the fact that many of the guests seemed to love moaning!!! I would recommend it.
A good trip. Takes an hour by coach from Sidari but coach is air conditioned. Good for 4 Euros per person. Corfu town itself is lovely and great to walk around. lots to see and very vibrant. Food is pricey there though so we opted for maccy's!
We went on an evening trip to Kassiopi and found it very boring. Didn't know what to do with the 4 hours we had there. Looked around few shops that there were and had a lovley meal at Kassiopi Star but that was it. Not much going on there at all. Was thankful we only had to spend one evening there and not our whole holiday.
Just come back from Sidari and really liked it. Seemed to me to be an all round holiday resort. Plenty to do, lots of shops and bars but not loads of yobs. People are friendly. Eating out is chaep although drunken nights can start to get expensive. A
good holiday. We would recommend the place but we still preferred Laganas in Zante.
Not particularly impressed with Manos. Transfer from airport to Sidari took 5 hours. People lost baggage which is unaviodable but manos lady was really slow at taking them into accomodation. Our apartments were nice but a long way from the resort centre. When we arrived it was 9pm and we wanted to go out to eat so I asked the manos lady how to get back into town but she didn't know!!!! We didn't go to the welcome meeting because it was till midday the next day and we wanted to go and see the resort. It took so long to walk down ther ehtat if we'd gone to that first it would have been tea time before we got there. So, as a result we didn't see the rep until the day that we were leaving. I have been to Greece before but never with manos and I don't think I will use them again.
Had an enjoyable meal at Paradise. Prices were reasonable and everyone enjoyed what they ate.
